You’ll find an elegant dining experience with a relaxed and refined atmosphere at the Prince of Wales Hotel with the Royal Stewart Dining Room, Windsor Lounge and Afternoon Tea.

Take part in a time honored Waterton tradition with Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Inspired by British tradition, Afternoon Tea features a selection of teas from Jolene's Tea House (Banff, Alberta) and a variety of delectable sandwich squares and pastries. 24 hours are required for any dietary restrictions.

Tea is served in the Royal Stewart Dining Room, which overlooks Waterton Lake for some of the most spectacular views around. Join us for this unique experience daily from 11 AM to 3:30 PM during the summer operating season.

Looking for Dinner, join us in the Royal Stewart Dining Room between 5 PM - 9:00 PM and watch the sunset while you dine on locally inspired dishes.

The Windsor Lounge is open seating with first come, first served.

    It was a beautiful building! The Royal Tea was exquisite with perfectly sized portions for our group. Each tea was well explained and offered in the gift store. The views were amazing and we would love to attend again.

    Our server Jake was very good at explaining the history behind the high tea ceremony and also equally knowledgeable regarding the different types of tea that pairs well with the food. Second time around was a more pleasurable experience.

    The restaurant was beautiful, service was great but main dishes though was ok. Dessert was very delicious and we highly recommend, had the earl gray chocolate Torte and Honey Berry cheesecake.

    The chicken dish needs potatoes and the leek needs to not be burnt. I understand the burnt end of the leek was on purpose but it was not a good taste. I wish I would have choose a different dish. My husband said the bison was great and the ceaser salad was wonderful.

    Our experience at the Royal Stewart Dining Room was top-notch. The dining room faces the beautiful Waterton Lake, we got there just in time to watch the sun set over the mountains. We were greeted and sat right away. The host brought water right after seating us. Abby was wonderful, answered all our questions about the menu. I had the Alberta Bison beautifully prepared, and the asparagus was cooked to perfection. My partner had the Alberta Beef, the fingerling potatoes were great, and the beef was incredible. We were celebrating my partner's birthday, and they brought out a delicious chocolate cake. I had the cheesecake, it's topped with white chocolate and hasksap berry reduction with a sponge toffee crumble. After dinner, you should definitely try the Akamina Shaft cocktail. All in all, 10/10 experience.

    High Tea, took my parents for their anniversary and crossed it off my bucket list. I'm not sure why I expect more, but it was still a good experience. Try the Maple Tea, the cheese cake was amazing, don't worry about what your wearing, the dress code isn't written in stone, the view is breathtaking and the service is outstanding.
