Sat outdoors next to the hostess stand and front doors. LOTS of movement to and fro. Concrete sidewalk led to massive amounts of ambient noise. Practically had to shout at my wife. Waitress was nice but not very attentive. Asked if we wanted a second drink well after we had finished the first towards the end of the meal. Food was just ok. Given the prices, $40 for a bowl of crock pot brisket?!?, I was expecting more than just ok. The restaurant is enormous. It was also PACKED; clearly they're doing something well, but the whole thing felt industrial in its implementation. Herded in, food dropped off at the table, herded out. It feels as though they're trying to do too much in a single location.

I was there for my birthday with a friend, we made reservations for 6:30 and as soon as I arrived I was told I only had 1:30 minutes allocated for my dinner because they were busy. That killed the mood completely from the start. Then I had to wait approx 20 minutes for the waitress to ask if I wanted something to drink. The mojito was good, but the appetizers we ordered were less than average (tuna tartare and croquettes) by this time it was already 1:30 mins, ordered the check and it took another 30 minutes to get it, pay and get the card back. Overrated experience, not going back.

WOW - what a wonderful find. The atmosphere was fantastic, topped only by the live music. The food was delicious, and service was great. Overall, a wonderful experience. And I love the family history and story of how the restaurant came to be. We will definitely be back.

It was such a great Friday night experience! Starting with everyone on the team--hostess, servers, EVERYONE! They were so so nice and made the night more special. The food was also incredible (I could eat their rice alone for days), and eating while having live music was the icing on the cake (btw, the desserts were delicious too!)

Went for my mother’s birthday and enjoy the food and live music. Our server was okay, with the loud music she spoke very low and we could barley hear her. Other than that the food was very good and live music was a plus. Definitely want to go back and try their brunch.

Found this place on TikTok and came for my birthday . They had a live band that played until 11pm . The vibe was amazing . The drink were good and well prepared with greenery and fire . The food was delicious and came out quickly for a party of 6. We were very impressed . I had never knew this place existed. Will definitely go back and spread the word

Unfortunately all our food was overcooked. I ordered the chicken and it was so dry I couldn't eat it. My husband had the pork shoulder and pretty much the same. I had very high hopes for this restaurant based on passed reviews.

Everything is overpriced. They proposed an appetizer sharable plate and they charge for $48. Extra charge for a Bacardi light which we never got. Food is almost decent but overpriced. Don’t go there for the food. The ambience was great, live music fantastic. That’s the only reason why I just paid the check and didn’t dispute it.

There was a live band onthis Tuesday night. The music was great but concert like volume. When we walked in, we couldn’t hear the hostess and she couldn’t hear us. Not what we expected for dinner— more like a music lounge.

Food was excellent! Only one thing I didn’t like and I want to write a review for others to know.Be prepared to wait one hour and some minutes to eat! I made a reservation for my table at 9:15 and I got my food at 10:30! Other than that I loved the restaurant and the staff.

Kelly our waitress was excellent. Great food and service! The mojitos were okay as I was expecting it to be like a Cuban one, it had too much ice and little rum, and remove the fake sugar stick. The band Tumbao Havana were great and loved the music & atmosphere. Definitely will return.

We came here for a date night and had a wonderful time on the patio! Inside was a little too noisy for us personally, but the live music sounded great! The empanadas are a MUST and the pork chop was just unbelievable. Will definitely be going back!

We skipped the amazing looking cocktails this visit, but was definitely jealous of all we saw. This visit was for brunch and the food was very good - the guava/cheese empanadas didn’t arrive until we reminded our waitress at end of meal but they were a very delicious dessert later and told me I’m looking forward to trying the savory ones next visit. My Ropa Vieja Benedict was very good (could have had more spice and been served warmer, but still tasty and well presented), and my companion’s La Habanera was excellent. The vibe is fun and energetic and the food options are plentiful. Didn’t mention it while there, but really wish they included more nonalcoholic drink options on their menu than just coffee (like orange and/or other juices, perhaps even fresh squeezed!).

Best mojito I’ve had in a while! Food was tasty, atmosphere was lively and fun. We sat inside, so it was a little hard to have conversation once the live music started. Also, my party had to wait about 30 minutes even with a reservation. Overall had a great time, hope to go back soon!

Had reservations for 5 at I believe 12:30 pm Took 57 minutes to get a Cuban sandwich meanwhile we sat there. Had to call server for drinks When food arrived it was cold. Manager said “meats were not sliced it can’t be helped “ Really how are you not ready for a lunch crowd . She was very defiant she insisted she was right Really bad attitude on her part . Highly disappointed !!!!! Don’t recommend!!!!

This was my second time visiting El Puro. First time was brunch with a couple friends and it was awesome. This time was dinner with a friend and we enjoyed our time listening to the live band and eating yummy food. I will say, the music was a bit too loud to hold conversations while dining. But we did enjoy having it there, nonetheless.

I was disappointed with the service. I got to the restaurant at 245 and was told we can be seated for brunch but we had 10 mins to order from the brunch menu but they had ran out of the items i wanted to order. When asking for the dinner menu we were told we had to wait until 4pm to order from that menu. We were given the option to order appetizers and drinks which wasn’t acceptable for me.
