Carrol's Creek Cafe
Located on scenic Restaurant Row in Eastport, Carrol's Creek Cafe is a pleasant stroll across the Spa Creek Bridge from the historic district. Carrol's Creek Cafe offers ample parking and is a convenient Water Taxi ride from Annapolis City Dock.
The dining room was quiet on a fall evening, but the service was great and the food was excellent. With the sun going down at 5:00pm there wasn't much of a view, but I am sure it is wonderful in the summer.
Recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Carroll's Creek and the service and food were excellent. Even though there was a loudish table nearby the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner.
Lovely contemporary setting with wonderful water views. Service was perfect and food was original and well prepared. Everything was delicious. Just great for a birthday with card and free dessert choice. My friend was so happy to have been brought there for her special occasion.
This place is always great. It can be a bit pricey but it will never let you down. Beautiful views.
Carroll's Creek Anniversary was very special. The food was great, however, it was way overcrowded. All our steaks were overcooked, however, I equate that to the fact that they were so busy. Seafood was terrific as always.
On the waterfront outstanding service delicious food. What more could you ask for?
We recently celebrated our one year anniversary here and had a wonderful experience! The staff was kind and helpful, the food was incredible and you can’t beat the view! We will definitely be back!
Disappointed in the 35 year prix fixed meal. Maybe regular menu us better??? This restaurant advertises itself as fine dining. High prices reflect this but not the quality of the food. Though service was very good and attentive by an older gentleman, wish I remembered his name.
Specifically asked for medium rare swordfish, came out very overcooked. Did not return because I wanted to eat along with my family instead of waiting for something else. Everyone had same vegetables and rice. Very uncreative. Would not recommend or come back. Much better restaurants to choose from in Annapolis. It seems this restaurant is not living up to the name it once had. You need to continue quality and not start skipping out on what you were once known for. Scenery will not keep you open or popular. ( I requested a window seat 3 weeks before my reservation and also was not granted one)
Disappointed in the food. Have been there before and it was awesome, maybe the chef had a bad day.
Excellent food and excellent service. The portions are large and the menu traditional but creative.
Great food and service. Marc was very attentive to our party and made our celebration special! The temperature in the restaurant was very warm. I was hoping there would be more of a waterfront view in the evening but that was not the case. A decent selection of wines at reasonable prices. Everyone in our party will definitely return! Great dining experience overall.
Outstanding service, free parking and great atmosphere.
Great View of Annapolis Waterfront. Excellent service, The Scallop App was out of this world. Every one enjoyed their meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our small family gathering here. While we didn't have a direct window table, we could see the water from our inside table and watched the bridge open. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful in questions concerning the specials and the menu items . Hder prompt service attention was deeply appreciated. Anxious to return for another visit.
We love Carroll’s Creek! Everything is always delicious and the ambiance is great, slightly upscale without being stuffy. I would have given everything five stars except this time our food was just shy of being hot. Nevertheless it was a fantastic meal and great service!
Great staff and always great food!
Delicious food and outstanding ambience plus beautiful views of the harbor and bridge!
Can always rely on good food and service on the creek
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and our server Mark was excellent! He was very informative and friendly.
Perfect lunch spot!
Quiet, relaxing, helpful staff, delicious food!
The view is ever changing, phenomenal and entertaining. I was there on a rainy day and still, our window seating allowed for awesome views of sailboats, draw bridge activity, Annapolis Market Place and the Naval Academy.
Lovely Three course dinner. Service was wonderful
Surf and turf was excellent.
A great restaurant for good food and service with an excellent view of Spa Creek.
Restaurant is conveniently located for Annapolis, the menu is varied and offers local specialities. Service is great. Mark is a fabulous waiter. Good place for multi-generational gatherings. Staff polite and accommodating. Highly recommend.
The Crab Benedict was delicious with a good amount of lump crab on a nice English muffin with just the right amount of Hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were crisp outside and soft inside. And the fresh squeezed grapefruit crush was made well. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and everyone enjoyed their meal.
The food was excellent, service perfect, and the views amazing. Went for a spcial occasion and from start to finish, it was a win. Highly recommend!
Our group of 5 had a wonderful Saturday night dinner here! The hostess knew I had brought out of town guests and made sure we had a terrific table at the window with the best view. Our server was attentive and the prix fixe anniversary dinner menu was incredible. One of our party made a meal of several small plate selections and all were great. 35 years and still an Annapolis standout restaurant!
Food was excellent and our server was perfect! Especially enjoyed the scallop appetizer and cobbler dessert. Happy Anniversary Carrol’s Creek!
We went to Carroll's Creek to belatedly celebrate my birthday. I've only been a couple times quite some time ago, and the exquisite food and ambiance was exactly as I remember it. We had a shrimp cocktail appertizer and also tried the four course menu, which included soup and salad, entrée, and dessert. My favorite was the crab cakes, which were excellent. I chose a string bean side, which was slightly undercooked for my taste and is the only reason I didn't rate this restaurant a 5. My second favorite was the fantastic cheesecake dessert. Would love to come again when we are in the area!
Have been to the restaurant several times in the past with friends and enjoyed it.
This visit, when we drove into the lot where there was an attendant, and we took our ticket - we and several other drivers drove around the lot, only to find out there were no spaces left and had to leave the lot where we were then told by the attendant that we could park around the corner on the ground level for free.
The noise level in the restaurant (throughout the room) was too high, and the table for two we sat at was so close to the group of 8 next to us, that servers and customers had to squeeze past my husband. Also the food was just 'okay'. Crab cake was very small, but scallops were good. We had no complaints about the service, which was excellent.
We would no make a point of returning any time soon.
I had lunch with a cycling friend after riding the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail. Even though we were still in cycling gear and definitely underdressed we were made to feel welcome. The food and service was very good, and our table had a nice view of the marina. It was crowded and I was very happy to have made reservations. The noise level was a bit high but that is to be expected at a popular location on a beautiful Autumn day. I would eat here again and will be sure to recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Large crowded restaurant by the harbour, excellent service but based on the cooked quality of my entree I would not return
We made reservations in advance to have lunch with friends, whom we see only twice a year. The restaurant's setting overlooking the harbour is very good, although we asked for a quiet table, which in a restaurant this size proved impossible. Parking next to the restaurant almost proved impossible but seeing that the lot at the same levels as the restaurant was full (and expensive) the parking attendant directed us to the lot underneath the restaurant, which was free.
This is one noisy restaurant, which made conversation very difficult. We ordered a couple of glasses of pretty good Pinot Grigio. Our two friends ordered veggie option, which they reported were very good. My wife ordered a good salmon dish. I ordered the house salad, which was freshly prepared and followed with swordfish, which was fresh. Although fresh and tender, the swordfish came soaked in some kind of oil (not olive, for sure) and accompanied by seriously undercooked vegetables, including potatoes that almost shot off the plate when speared with my fork. So, my entree was very disappointing.
I did not say anything to the excellent server because we were with dear friends, who ended up paying for our meals. But, on the basis of my experience, I would definitely not return to this restaurant.
I remain amazed that restaurants in fashionable locations such as Carol's can get away with this quality of cooking. Pretty insulting to their clientele.
The food was great, the atmosphere was great and had a great view of the water. The food was reasonably priced as well. We made reservations ahead of time for a party of 7 and we had a wonderful time celebrating my father's birthday.
Carroll's Creek is a hidden gem. Have been about 4 times this year. Experience this time was good but not as great as my past experiences. Seated immediately which was great. It was close to closing time so not much of a crowd but we were seated next to two other occupied tables which made it a bit louder than usual. Wasn't offered bread. Asked for it and wasn't impressed. Bread was not hot or even warm and it was very hard. Soup was good as always. Entree sides were room temp but the steak and lobster were hot. I have never had that issue before. I like all of my food hot when it is presented to me. Was asked only one time how everything was and offered more water. Dessert was ok, not the greatest selection on the pre fixe menu. I hope my next visit will be better than this one.
SO GOOD. Our server, Mark, was absolutely outstanding. We were short on time since we had an event to attend after dinner and he expertly orchestrated our meal and got us out the door at the time we requested with our desserts packed to go! I felt like dinner was a complete and wonderful experience. The food was also delicious. I ordered the swordfish - OMG - so perfectly done! This was our second time dining here and I honestly can’t think of a single thing to be disappointed about.
As always, Carrol's Creek delivers with great service, beautiful views and delicious food. Their $35 prix fixe menu to celebrate their 35th anniversary was an added bonus. We had the swordfish and the surf/turf special, both were yummy with an appetizer and dessert. Anniversary special runs through 11/11/18, check it out!
Food and ambiance were delicious and delightful!! Dave, our waiter was exceptional!
A lovely evening and highly recommend it!
My favorite restaurant in the Annapolis area. Love the convenient, free parking.
Awesome food and great service we will come again in the near future.
