Always an excellent experience at Matheson. The wine that was suggested by the somm was fantastic and a good price point! The stylish interior only adds to the fantastic food. Perfect evening.

The Matheson servies tasty and innovative food at this trendy spot across from the green in Healdsburg. The beef filet and the hamburger were excellent, while other items like the caesar need refining. Lively, the restaurant feels like a place to be seen. Excellent selection of wines. Service was spotty and uneven, but the servers were friendly. A fun place to enjoy good food. Rooftop 106 and eating at the bar are also good options. Sister restaurant Valette is a very good alternative.

We did the Chef’s Tasting Menu and paired it with the Wine Tastings and it was all phenomenal!

Great food, excellently prepared. Top-notch service all around. wonderful experience downstairs as well as upstairs in the more casual area.

I had the tasting menu and it was all quite good. My husband had the Sunday Prime Rib dinner and it was hugely disappointing: cold slab of undercooked meat with cold au jus sauce. Asked for it to be heated up and they apparently threw it onto a griddle, as it came back browned on the outside and still cold and raw inside. They comped one glass of wine for the errors. Not OK -- the dinner should have been taken off the check. OTOH the wall of wine is fun for tasting and the general attitude of the staff is great. Another final thing to know: We were finished around 9:30 pm and had taken a Lyft so we could have wine with dinner. Needed to get back to hotel in Geyserville (about a 10 minute drive) and when it kept not coming, the restaurant told us that indeed, they could be quite slow--some people have waiting 2 hours to get a car. This seems odd--it's not like Healdsburg is in the boonies. We were able to hire a private taxi service, barely--he was about to quit for the night. Just be aware......

We had an early dinner in the main restaurant and we were able to get the happy hour 30% off the wine wall too - that was fun! Have to read carefully and have your glass ready before you press that button! 88 wines on tap for taste/half/full pour - got to try several! I had the rabbit pappardelle - was excellent! So was the mini pizza & salad. It is a bit pricey but there's happy hour bites and the roof too so you can choose what you want. Great experience!

Everything was excellent especially the bone marrow starter, it could have been dinner. The Waygu burger was wonderful and the fries are some of he best we’ve had. And the peanut butter cookie that accompanied the Afogato was amazing!
