Drinks were small not much booze. Food portions were small, was still hungry when we left the restaurant! I hate that! It’s not cheap. The food was tasty.
Food is great though a bit pricey. Great ambiance. Hostess was a little slow and seemed uninterested. Waitress was fantastic.
I ordered sea bass with braised endive and mushrooms. I shared Burratta for a first course. The food was delicious. I would have liked it better if it had been quieter.
Loved it amazing food and atmosphere
Jammed tables. Extremely loud and close feeling. Food was good but service was lackluster.
Always really good

Always really good
One of the better restaurants that I have been to in Boston.
The pulpo was absolutely fantastic?
Food was great, our server was the best.
Unfortunately, apparently there was an event on the 1st floor, and that's why we were told the food took so long to be ready and come to our table. Not a good excuse... Get organized, then.
Mediocre food. The pastas of everyone in our party of seven were insipid, bland, tasteless. Disappointing experience. Service was competent.
The food here was so good! I had the ravioli de ricotta and it was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was excellent from beginning to end. Loved the glass and a half wine option. I usually don't do dessert, but the Zeppole and Panna Cotta alone would have been worth the visit.
Had to wait a long time to get the elevator for my handicapped friend...there was no one to run it
No bathroom on second floor and my handicapped friend had to walk down the stairs and run the elevator herself to get back
Restaurant says handicapped accessible but it really isn't
Took over 1/2 hour to get our entrees....the waiter said it was because of the chicken dish...which was nothing special, but I think he forgot to put the order in
Despite all that we loved the free parking so close to the restaurant and the ambiance and the food
We will be back
Waitress was struggling. Screwed up the order. Talked a lot. Didn’t catch social queues.
Cinquecento is just very good. Of particular note: service is always superb. On our last visit we were helped by Jeisson who's just very, very good at what he does. Friendly, genuine, attentive but not obsessive, anticipates everything. Outstanding. And yes, the food was terrific too. But the service at Cinquecento really makes it very special. Thank you Jeisson!
Food is terrific. I've been many times and it's gotten better recently going from very good to excellent.
Love this place, but they were not on their game this time. Our waitress looked like she could have cared less about anything. Asked for tea- they didn’t have any. It was brunch!! There were 4 of us so we ordered 4 ricotta fritters- she didn’t bother telling us that each order came with 2 so we had too many. Then when we asked to wrap the remaining fritters they forgot to bring them back to the table until we asked and our waitress blamed it on someone else even though she had the bag with her at the computer. Very odd. Disappointed because this is one of our favorite spots, but don’t think we’ll be rushing back for brunch.
Very impressed with our dinner tonight. Great service, they have a lot of staff and are well trained. A watchful eye is kept on the table from management, bussers, waitstaff. Dishes cleared properly, utensils replaced when used. The private parking lot, offered complimentary, is a welcome perk of choosing to dine here... a real luxury. I hope that never changes.
Everyting we ordered... perfectly cooked, served hot, delicious. The charred beef carpaccio, veal saltimboca, pasta bolognese, roast salmon... and panna cotta for dessert.
Our waitress, Natalia, was awesome.
Love it here!
The food and atmosphere was AMAZING. I can’t recommend this place enough and will most def be coming back. Also they provide parking tickets which is INCREDIBLE
Past visits have been wonderful and we especially love the patio dining. Maybe we hit a bad night because the service was poor. Two out of the 4 entrees were average. We spoke to the manager and hope that our next visit will be more enjoyable since this is usually a neighborhood favorite.
This use to be one of our favorite restaurant but the food has become so so , service has declined and night manager appears indifferent. We will not be back .
Really great food. The bread, burrata, and polenta were amazing. My only problem was that it smelled like paint when we walked in, but it did seem to go away. Our server was okay in the beginning, but improved as our marathon meal progressed. Nice wine list, would have liked more choices for bubbly. The bolognese sauce was a highlight as well. Definitely worth a visit!
Overall a nice atmosphere and friendly service. We had fettuccine with mushrooms that was very underwhelming. But others had delicious risotto and other friend had the branding that was first rate- crispy skin yet moist flesh. Our appetizers of artichokes and peach burrata were very average. The baratta did not ooze cream at all and peaches had sweet balsamic reduction that we did not care for
Well done meal at reasonable prices. The service was stellar. The amari list was great.
Cheese board flames! The octopus is 🔥! Drinks wavy
Cinquecento is always so good. I especially want to call out the staff. This was our 3rd time there, and as always our server was friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable, and warm. We've been helped by a different person on each of our visits, and each has been great. I wish I could remember the names of each of them to thank them personally! Then of course the food is terrific too, as are the cocktails. Very nice wine list as well, with a fine selection and reasonable prices. We've dined outside on the patio which is beautiful, but the dining room, where we sat on this last visit, is very handsome too. Just a terrific place, and we will be back!
I was taken there for my birthday. I didn’t want to make a big deal, but the artichoke hearts were terrible. When I mentioned it, all I got was a polite “I’m sorry”. Not fun for dinner...the waiter seemed to get slammed with too many tables, too quickly. Still, would like to try their brunch.
My favorite brunch place. Go early (10AM) on a Sunday and have the place to ur self. Then visit the SOWA market next door. Menu offers the usual breakfast items and some new ones plus assorted pastries.
There’s a charming outdoor space that’s pleasant when the weather is warm enough.
Inside or out, you will be well pleased.
lovely food, great staff! been meaning to come for a while, was not disappointed.
Very disappointed with food quality and portion size
Music way too loud for a Sunday brunch. Ugh. How about some light jazz/standards?
Attention: Prix fixe menu only available until 11:00.
Chatty Cathy waitstaff a bit over the top. Did bring us all we requested however.
Pepper mill on tables? Would be nice and save waitstaff the extra trip.
Enjoyed evening dinner for two more than the brunch. Would go for that again.
Wonderful outdoor space, weather cooperate, server was attentive, food and drinks yummy.
Gorgeous outdoor patio. Unique decor. Excellent food. A treat in Boston.
Really nice dining experience. It felt like Italy on the outdoor patio with creative lighting around. Food and drinks were great as well.
excellent food and service. A bit noisy and crowded but we asked for a corner table and got it and after that it was perfect. The outside patio was gorgeous, though we ate inside. totally worth it. pasta was great and everything was fresh.
Ended up here since there was no place for eight people in the place we wanted near by. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was nice, service great, plates a little small but well priced. Will recommend and come again.
It was my birthday dinner - and my second year doing it at Cinquecento. I absolutely love the food and service as well as the environment! The wine was flowing and I loved my bday dessert!
Main course took forever. Meal was average. Pasta that came with special was bland, boring, cheeseless. Sunday special was simply dull and mediocre. Beef was unevenly cooked and tough. Good salads. Over all a disappointing meal.
The food was scrumptious. Top notch. The service is a little slow. We didn’t order our entree until after we ate our appetizer. It seemed like the waiter forgot. I don’t mind dining at a slow pace but the menus are big and heavy and taking up space on the table. Finally we moved them to a bench and then had to call the waiter to take our order. But he was very nice.
Food and atmosphere were amazing! Hidden gem in the South End!
We went for Sunday lunch and we had a great experience.
The food was delicious and they have a great wine list. Willy was our waiter and he was fabulous, super friendly and very informative. We were not disappointed!
