We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!

Back in the '90s, we were a tiny coffee shop with a lot of heart, a few mismatched tables, and a menu that came together with some help from our regulars. Our mother and her friends pitched in to cook, and we served up the kind of food we grew up on—comforting, familiar, and full of love. Truthfully, we were winging it more often than not. But we were having a lot of fun, and somehow, it worked out.

The staff here are wonderful and kind. I left a note in my online reservation requesting an outdoor seat to accommodate a health need and staff were able to promptly arrange a spot for my group. Very grateful for the assistance and the food is always delicious.

Our server and host were friendly and helpful. We went for breakfast and had the Avacado Toast and the French toast breakfast. They were both delicious and plentiful servings; The bacon slices were large and tasty. The restaurant has a mid west vibe. Including an Ann Arbor lean. The happy hours look fun and very reasonable for NYC. Will definitely return; a hidden hem!

Lunch order of Philly cheesesteak, fried brussell sprouts and tomato soup was excellent - very tasty and prepared very well. Menu is excellent with diverse choices. Lunch hour was crowed and noisy but could still hold conversation. Service was very good though had to request bill. Was seated immediately so making reservation was probably a good idea. Will definitely be back.

Great food! Service was slow - it was a Sunday afternoon, and we waited quite a while for a server to ask for our orders. It is very loud in the main dining area - maybe it would have been quieter outside, but we were straining to hear conversation. We also had to request our own silverware and tell the server how many items to bring? Never had to do that before. Food was so tasty - drinks were good too! Sad they were out of the Michigan Lager when we came in. Loved all the Founders' brews.

This was our first visit. The staff was very welcoming. I enjoyed the Breakfast Bowl and my husband had the Grey Dog’s breakfast. Delicious! We will be back!

They were out of most of their brunch items. They were out of eggs but not scrambled eggs, which tells me they leave the scrambled eggs out for hours in warming trays instead of making eggs to order (gross). We saw our waiter once while she took our order, and then never again. No one checked in to see if we wanted more beverages, though I was planning to order a mimosa. And syrup dripped through the table all over my pants and backpack, but when I asked for club soda to clean it up myself no one showed any concern. Very poor service. As a server myself, I’m regretting tipping at all.
