Everything was great, until hot coffee was spilled all Over my cousin. She was burnt and soaked All that was offered was a business card and burn cream. We had to ask for the leftovers to be re boxed and to take something off the bill for the dry cleaning. Food was delicious so was dessert!

Aside from being a little dark the atmosphere was very good. I had the Cajun mixed grill I believe the name was and the only downside to it was the shrimp could have been a little warmer and more garlic in the mashed potatoes. My girlfriend had the Wagyu filet and it was absolutely amazing. We will be back. Gary was our server and we will be requesting him always. Great guy and very informative!

We were in Pittsburgh to celebrate our daughter’s 19th birthday while she’s in college and she loves a nice steak, so we decided to try Eddie Merlot’s for the very first time. Food was good but the customer service is what we would go back for. Our server, Ed was extremely knowledgeable and super attentive. Everyone at the restaurant was amazing. We’ve been to many high end steakhouses before but our experience at Eddie Merlot’s top the rest. To our surprise, Ed brought a crème brûlée with a candle plus a birthday card signed by all the staffs. This really touched us in so many ways. Thank you, Ed and all the staff at the restaurant. You guys are amazing. Keep up the going “above and beyond” customer service!!

The beauty and elegance of the restaurant provide the diner a marvelous first impression. I enjoyed my lunch a great deal. For $25, a caesar salad, eight-ounce Manhattan New York strip steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and freshly baked warm sourdough bread and soft butter, is a good value. Service from Michael was attentive, efficient, friendly, and welcoming. I appreciate the team work which had another individual bring the dishes to the table from the kitchen when they were ready. There was plenty of food to consume, even for one like me, who has a very hearty appetite. The only criticism I can offer is that the steak: though delicious and well-seasoned, was overly salty. I will return!

We had the aged ribeye and lobster tail. The steak was very tough, the Brussel sprouts were hard and the lobster tasted fishy and very chewy. We did not complain at the time but would not go back to this restaurant. The $250 was not well spent.

The food was off this evening. They oysters were mediocre and my steak was undercooked and under salted. However management always makes things write. They only charged us half for the oysters and cooked the steak to the right temperature. And they also brought us more tempura green beans. Again they always make things right.

Lack of attention and slow service resulted in most of our meal being taken "to go." As the restaurant was not crowded that evening, so this was disappointing. A beautiful place and may try it again.

Soup was barely warm. Steaks were passably warm. Baked potato didn’t melt the butter. Brussels sprouts had no bacon and were completely unsalted. Children (under 5) ran around at a table next to us on Valentine’s Day after 9 pm. Wasn’t how we wanted to spend a romantic evening for the cost of the meal. Wouldn’t recommend. Way better options in the city.

The server and food was excellent. The issue that I have was with the Valentine's Day experience. I put in a request a month early for a.table by the window and for them to place the flowers that I had delivered on the table. My wife was seated while I parked the car. When I arrived and sat down I noticed that my flowers weren't on the table. I reported this to a staff member and they said they didn't know anything about flowers. I advised them that I spoke with a member of their staff 2 days earlier and they confirmed that I would be seated by a window and they had the flowers. They did finally bring out the flowers stating again, they didn't know about my request. They had window seats open but we weren't seated in on. Fast forward, to the end of the meal, I asked them to validate my parking ( as the website said they would) but they said I parked in the wrong garage. The website never mentioned a specific garage to park in. I spoke with a manager who only replied with canned response after canned response. His greatest hits were I talk to the person with the person who confirmed your reservation, we didn't know about the flowers, we can't guarantee a window seat(even though the seats were empty during the entire time we dined) They ruined a very special day for my wife and I and the manager still wouldn't even validate my parking. This was the worst experience I have ever had a such a quality restaurant. I would never recommend them.
