Some of the best food we've ever had. Every bite was tasty and perfectly done. Large portions. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The artichoke dip is to die for! Prices were reasonable (well the dip was a little smaller than we thought but the meals were huge and delicious - Ribs & Cajun Chicken, Mediterranean Chicken and Garlic Shrimp Fettuccini). We are already planning on going again!
Met friends on a Friday night.
We were hoping to have a nice , quieter restaurant dining experience.
It was not too busy, but they seated a family of 8 with adolescences, and the adults must have been ‘celebrating’ with alcohol before they got there. They were actually yelling, all in good spirits though.
We eat out often, we accept noisy environments. This is really pub food presented ‘as if’ it is a finer dining experience. The difference between the New York Strip dinner 29$ and a steak sandwich$ was the price. Our server spoke so loud and tried to impress with descriptions of the food, but I was embarrassed by his pretentious manner with us. This place is an oversold pub.
Went for Easter brunch and was not impressed with the selection for $35/person. No omelette station no pancakes or french toast. Poor bread and fruit selection. Prime rib was ok but not well heated
Salad was very fresh and tasty and not overdressed. Clam chowder was delicious
Fish was very fresh in the fish and chips and not heavily battered.
This restaurant, though okay, is attached to a hotel. That detail was left out in their online description. Overall, the food was good
Love it here!
Food is always good. Service is normally not always the best. Things are often slow in being brought or just forgotten.
We were very happy with everything. From the appetizer to the main course to the wine, delicious! We will most definitely be back to try other items off the menu!
Tasty food and the service on a Saturday night was fantastic!
Good food. Great server. Fries are delicious! Guest has Wagu burger and said it was great. I had coconut chicken curry. Also good. Great experience all around. Will go back.
Restaurant was seemingly not even prepared for a regular night of dining and we went on new years eve. Restaurant was not busy and service was still painfully slow. Waitress didnt really even know what food they had and didnt have, and they were all out of some items. Was not a welcoming atmosphere. Food was pretty good so it's pretty disappointing the front staff dont have this figured out to support their kitchen.
They advertised turkey dinner as we went there on Xmas Day. Had a reservation for 6.45pm and was told they had already run out. Service was poor. Waited 10 mins before we even received a menu. Why advertise turkey and not plan to have enough. Was very disappointed and won’t be back!
My friends and I came here for Christmas dinner. We really liked it and we left feeling very full. The staff were very attentive.
When I asked which fruits were used in the buffet desserts, it took some time but I did get an answer. I’m allergic to strawberries so it was important for me to get the right info. I had a delicious chocolate dessert.
Our only complaint is that we thought the manager told us that the buffet was $32 and it was $39.
Great place to go for a business meeting. Not packed so can always get a last minute reservation and able to talk and hear each other. Warm kale salad with chicken was amazing.
My 3 friends and I enjoyed our dining experience at Ric's Lounge & Grill. The food was great and our server was awesome! Would definitely go again!
We were celebrating two birthdays and the food and service were exceptional. Kim, our server, was just the sweetest person who went out of her way to make it a special evening for us. The food was beautifully presented and done to perfection. This was our first visit to Ric’s and we will absolutely be going back.
Wasn't overly busy. We were a group of 7 (including a 1 year old). The restaurant isn't very toddler friendly (ie. no covered cups with straws), but they were really good with our son! The food came fast and was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Our fish was a little over cooked, but our butter chicken was good. Our server was amazing! She was attentive, and so sweet! She made our lunch very pleasant!
I know that Rics is a great place to go for dinner, though I would not recommend going for brunch. Last Sunday I visited Rics for the Mother's Day Brunch for a mere $30 per person. I was expecting a delicious brunch with top notch food and service. I was unfortunately disappointed with the food quality, the food was generally not being put out fast enough, the egg's benny was cold and overcooked and everything was just very mediocre.
Overall, the food was OK and selection was OK, though for a $30 brunch I was expecting a little bit more.
I would still eat at Rics for dinner, just not for brunch.
2nd Time visiting Ric's Grill and it was fantastic just like the first. Amanda was a great waitress and the food was awesome. Try the Tuscan Shrimp Appy.
The food is always very good. The steak sandwich I had was of the highest quality. The steak (medium) was cooked to perfection and so tender; definitely better quality steak than you would get anywhere else.
Slow service. Meals weren't as advertised. Very disappointed
Really enjoyed it! Service was friendly. Food was tasty and plentiful. If you're looking for a decent meal this is an option. Wife had the salmon and loved it. I had the BBQ Ribs with Cajun chicken and was very good. Lots of veggies, etc on the side too so they don't skimp on the helpings.
I visited Ric's with my family at New Year Eve. This was not my first time having super at this restaurant, but it was the worst both service and food.
The service was not very great. It was really slow with maybe only 4 tables seated before we got there and the wait to just be seated was almost 10 minutes and then the wait for our server was the same. Did not seem to be a good reason for it. The Bellini machine was also down which was disappointing. The food however was very good.
Dinner needed to be sent back as it was cold. Came back microwaved and replated with no sauces. Not likely to go back.
We booked through opentable and confirmed verbally as we were having a company Christmas dinner and wanted the set menu. The restaurant did not have those instructions when we arrived and were unsure if they could accommodate. We are grateful that they made it work in the end. Unfortunately it was more of a sports bar atmosphere with tvs and top 40 music than a business casual dining experience which is what the photos and menu seemed to suggest.
Nice décore and good food. Quiet and easy to hear conversation. I would go again for sure.
We had been contemplating going here for a while and sadly we just went in a few days ago instead of 6 months ago. This was an awesome date night. All of the staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Had a blackened prime rib to share with the perfect aus jus gravy, perfect horesradish and the steak was perfect too. Also had stuffed mushrooms and fish tacos. Christian was fantastic.
highly recommended. Go there this week.
Great modern decor with excellent service. We ordered 3 courses and their timing was just as we had asked. If you join their VIP list, you get $15 off your bill. Chanaya was our server and she made our experience extra special - very friendly and professional.
Great service! Food was very good but small portions for price
The dinner setting is excellent but until construction in and around the building is complete many would not care for it. We enjoyed the menu selections and found the service good. Thanks Gary/Esther
It's a great spot for lunch as being in the Four Points Sheraton the lunch crowd tends to forget it's there so it's always easy to get a table and the food is great and there's lots of parking. Right now they have 10 items for $10 each and they are a great variety for lunch from wraps to hamburgers to pasta.
I enjoyed my visit to Ric's Lounge and Grill. We celebrated a friends and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The food was great and the service was attentive and friendly.
I use Ric's Lounge for business lunches when I am in NE Calgary. The food is good. The service is polite, prompt and professional. I will continue using Ric's for my lunch meeting venue when in NE Calgary.
Good overall. Pizza was not hot when served. But good service and good ambience.
The mushroom/crab appetizers were very good. The salad was O.K., but not a lot of ingredients. The filet was tender and flavorful, but the potatoes weren't great. Nice seasonal vegetables. We finished with coffee, but it took the waitress a long time to bring the cream for the coffee. There were only three tables full in the restaurant so we thought she could have been a little more attentive. She only offered us only one refill on the coffee, but we sat visiting for a long time afterwards.
One of my new favorite places to go for a special occasion. The services is excellent and the food is good too!
For a pub style eatery in a hotel it was nice. Not fancy and average priced. Standard fare of burgers, pizzas, nachos etc. Good food arrived hot and beer was cold. Would have been better if waitress could have told us what was not available that night as
I had to reorder twice. Maybe the kitchen was at fault. Regardless the final outcome was fine.
Nice evening, but was hoping for something closer to Ric's in Lethbridge. This felt more like a pub, but definitely worth a try.
