   Excellent service and food on June 1, 2023@ 6 Sat outside patio in front… the upstairs looks fabulous. Casual, fun atmosphere. Had shrimp tacos and mahi taco- both were delicious. Thanks from Canada!

   Everything was better than outstanding. Staff was very polite and helpful. Food was outstanding and service was fast and efficient. The vibe was wonderful and picture worthy. Will definitely be returning. Prices were perfect and definitely worth every penny. Thank you

   Good meal but not a good value. Also, automatic star off for charging a 3.5% fee to pay with a card. This is not the 19th century. Penalizing patrons who don't carry around various slips of paper is backwards.

   Our food was good. We had the tacos and they were tasty. However, the Mojito’s were tasteless and the salsa with the chips was also pretty bland. Ambience was great very authentic.

   I recommend the bottomless brunch on Sundays. It was very good and the food was brought out quickly… the drinks are also good l. I ended up doing the bottomless drinks for 8.99 I will definitely revisit…

   This was my second time at this El Centro ( the original one I went to has since closed down in another part of DC). The restaurant is great! My server was Andrea and she was very professional, attentive and made sure I was valued as a customer. I will definitely be coming back!

    Our reservation was not honored and we were turned away because the restaurant screwed up and took reservations when they were having a no reservations event. There was no apology for the inconvenience or prior warning even though I confirmed the reservation the day before.

    I went to El Centro for Cinco De Mayo. I made reservations on April 11th and got a confirmation email from OpenTable. I even got a phone call on April 23rd from El Centro letting me know that they were doing a $30 per person happy hour menu (no regular menu) for the holiday. I thought, no problem, I understand it is a busy day. That is the only thing mentioned in the voicemail (I even checked after dining to make sure I wasn't mishearing their message). Upon arrival, there was a huge line out the door. In line, I hear that there is some issue with reservations and majority of people in the line were getting frustrated. I then learn that they ARE NOT honoring ANY reservations that were made for the holiday. You must pay the $30 ticket per person (not including gratuity or drinks), the food will only be served buffet style, and you cannot just grab a drink at the bar. Totally ridiculous! In that voicemail I received, all of this should've been explained, ESPECIALLY that they were not honoring reservations. There was some seating available, but the issue was that large groups would take a bunch of tables because they had a reservation and were trying to hoard as many possible tables since their reservation was cancelled. In the future, I would not return for Cinco de Mayo, their food is delicious, but their decision for how to run Cinco de Mayo was stressful for me as a diner and made the overall experience not enjoyable.

    I made a reservation 2 months in advance. Got to the restaurant early and wanted to confirm them. When I arrived I was told that they were not taking any that day because of Cinco de Mayo. Their comment to me was sorry! Also they were only offering buffet style service. Never went and will and will try again.

    I made a reservation for Cinco de Mayo - 4 weeks in advance. I was called 2 weeks in advance to confirm that I would be using the reservation, and was told "it's a very busy night for us, so please make the reservation." I arrived at El Centro 10 minutes early and was informed that there were no reservations - well they had them "written down" but it was "first come first serve" and only a food buffet, no menu ordering. None of this was told to me beforehand. Not on the website, not while making the reservation and not when they called to confirm the reservation. My friends and I were not impressed by the lack of communication and the lack of the staff to accommodate anything really. We were VERY displeased and ended up taking ourselves to another Mexican restaurant where we were accommodated last minute and treated respectfully. I will not be going to El Centro again anytime soon.

    When we arrived we were told they were not taking reservations. I received a phone call confirming my table and the number of seats and they said that was not true. I made this reservation weeks in advance for a large party and they were charging $30 at the door.

    Overall our experience was ok. Came here for a Sunday brunch. The food was ok, nothing special but not terrible. Had the bottomless drinks option was well. Got the Margarita and it was good. Got the job done. Would I come here again.....it wouldn't be my first choice but it wasn't completely terrible either.

    Came here with my husband and brother we all loved the food and the drinks, I liked that I didn’t have to order anything , I just told them we wanted bottomless mimosas and wanted to try everything on the menu and they kept on bringing food and drinks.     The food here is delicious and the decor is lovely. For some reason we got seated right next to a bar with way too many people trying to squeeze in, so my son kept getting his chair pushed and his back knocked. We had a reservation and there were other tables that would have been fine. Too bad that we couldn’t enjoy the food with all that pushing.

    Beautiful restaurant and great food. If you’re with a group of people, the bottomless brunch is definitely a great value. It is a small restaurant though, so if there’s a large party it can get quite noisy. We had a group of 12 girls sitting right next to us. They were having a good time and being quite loud. So obviously, when we ordered with our server, it was tough to hear. We ordered two vegetarian breakfast burritos and guacamole. What was brought to our table were two vegetarian, breakfast burritos, and a chicken and waffles. No worries, right? Mistakes happen and it’s a loud venue. When I told the server of the mistake, she proceeded to argue with me and say “no, this is what you ordered.” I responded with “I really did order the guacamole, but it is quite loud in here, so it could’ve been a miscommunication.” She again said “no, this is what you ordered.” I said “ok, well I’m not going to eat it because I am a vegetarian.” She then walked away and came back a few minutes later to say “so do you want the guacamole or not?” I kindly said “no thank you”. Other than this minor interaction I would definitely recommend this restaurant purely for the food and the value.

    We went on a Sunday for our friends birthday brunch. We were seated at the time that the reservation was made. All the employees were very welcoming and very knowledgeable on the plates that were served. This is by far my favorite brunch spot.

    El Centro’s bottomless brunch was the worst brunch I’ve ever had in the dmv. The food was cold, the menu was confusing, and each course got worse and worse. The servers didn’t explain what was on each plate, just dropped the food and left without telling us what it was or contained. Thank God none of us had food allergies because things could’ve gone bad quickly. The table next to us also said this was their first and last time ever coming to this restaurant and I couldn’t agree more. The mimosas were also not good. More orange juice than champagne. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience. I was ready to leave before all the plates could even be brought out and I like to eat. So this was an utter disappointment. A complete waste of $90. Maybe the a la cart menu is the way to go because the bottomless brunch is definitely not worth the money or time.

    Overall great brunch experience! Only negative takeaways: servers could have been more attentive on refilling bottomless mimosas, and the tables for our eight person party were very wobbly and uneven heights.
