   It was a lovely evening; so, my friend and I ate outside. The food was superb; the service was outstanding. My friend had never been to Copperwood's and commented as we left that she wanted to return. Thanks for a wonderful meal.

   The food was excellent and the service was as well. Our server was available when we needed him and took very good care of us. The salmon I had could not have been better.

   It was our first time there! The checkin/hostess was pleasant-seated us right away. Our server was very attentive! We enjoyed the food and the dessert-chocolate pecans hit the spot. The decor is nice too. Its close to the parking garage. We shall return

   Came here for brunch w/parents (party of 3). Ordered the brie plate as an appetizer. I had egg whites w/spinach and guyere, parents had shrimp and grits and the blueberry ricotta pancakes. Drinks were fine. (Ordered regular and elderberry mimosas and a whiskey iced coffee between us.) Good service. It was a bit loud but not deafening but I full well know you won't get quiet brunch in the DC suburbs. The setting is nice, being able to keep an eye on EPL games was a bonus. Food was good quality, would have no issues bringing someone else/new back here for brunch. Prices were also very reasonable too.

   Past visits have been very positive. We arrived at 9:15 on a Sunday morning and were the first customers. The initial cup of coffee tasted like it had been brewed at 8:00, when the staff arrived, and had been sitting in the pot since then. When I mentioned this to the server he quickly returned with fresh good coffee. The pancakes were good as always. The omelette was dry. Service was appropriately attentive and friendly.

   My husband’s steak was overcooked and they rectified it immediately. Everything else was excellent. The mussels were delicious! We sat at the bar for a while after dinner and the bartender was great, too. I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name. This was our second time here and I’m sure we will be back!

    Really high quality food & drink. Not cheap but worth the expense. Some seating arrangements are better than others in terms of separation and privacy for conversations.

    I chose this place for brunch for my husband & I. This was our wedding anniversary dining out, as brunch is more our thing. I made a 10:00am table reservation via Open Table for a Saturday morning. Parking is at the back of this restaurant, so you have a very short walk. We were seated quickly & waiter was in our presence within moments. We both ordered cocktails, I ordered the Ryes & Shine, he ordered the Iced Virginian. Both drinks were coffee, whisky/moonshine flavors & went down very well! We shared a starter of the baked brie, this was served on a wooden board which was presented beautifully. The Brie itself was just the right amount of melt & was perfect with the glazed walnuts & the honeycomb. My husband loved that little bit of honeycomb! For our main, he ordered the fried green tomato Benedict & I ordered the short rib Benedict. The eggs were perfect, I loved the short rib. The fried green tomato was good too, but after my husband tried the short rib, he wished he’d ordered that too! Brunch was finished off with coffee. All of the waiters were really polite & professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our food & would totally come back again for a meal.

    Copperwood is my favorite restaurant — great food, service, and vibe! We go there regularly for brunch, and we always get the ricotta pancakes and smoked salmon bagel (plus whatever else we’re feeling!).

    Lunch hour was quiet but I am sure it’s not always quiet — seems like a great social hangout. Needs more vegetarian main dishes but they at least allowed us to substitute a black bean burger in any burger. I had the Copperwood and while tasty, it could have used a bit more of the jam and blue cheeses advertised for what was on the burger was noticeable only when I looked for it. House chips were very overdone and dry. Great location and atmosphere (but please dust the lights above the tables - ick!), nice server, and prime location.

    Service was great. Steak was seriously overdone, scallops and pork belly was cold. Disappointed in this. We didn’t have time for a redo since we were hitting a theatre performance. Everything else was pretty good - fried green tomatoes, drinks, and salad. If they take care of some. Quality control issues regarding their food, they’ll definitely get better reviews.

    I’ve been to Cooperwood several times for brunch or grabbing drinks with friends but never really for dinner. After last night, I’ll stick with brunch and drinks. I had friends in town and was too embarrassed to send my chicken dish back. It was flavorless, rubbery, and skin on top was limp. My friend’s son loved the burger - but we needed to ask permission to order off of the bar menu so he could get the burger. Thankfully, our sever was excellent and asked the manager who allowed for the exception. The burger was the saving grace for an otherwise underwhelming meal.

    Very disappointing experience overall, with mediocre food and missed service opportunities. Add to the fact that the seating was overly crowded and quite uncomfortable and the chance of a repeat visit is close to zero. It would have been better that had I not made a reservation and been crammed into a small table in an overcrowded dining room, we had just walked in and sat in the uncrowded bar area. We had to flag down whatever service staff walked by to get issues resolved with food, utensil and other dining issues, and the service staff either did not pay attention to instructions, were not properly trained to serve customers, or maybe just didn't care. While it irked me a few more degrees toward complete disregard for the place, I stuck with leaving a 20% tip on the bill, even though our meals should have been comped for the issues we encountered. I guess I can thank COVID training for tipping no matter what and the struggle the service industry and its personnel have endured over the intervening couple of years. I hope I never have to go back to this place, or any other Copperwood Tavern Location, as there are so many good options available close by. And I hope whoever runs the location (or perhaps the Copperwood Tavern franchise or locations) takes steps to improve their service, seating, and amenities.

    We had and awesome time. The server (Taylor)was the best!!! He was very professional and attentive to us and had an answer for anything we asked. This made for an great brunch with my daughters.

    We have been here a few times now for brunch, but with this last visit the dishes were prepared differently. I used to love their chicken and waffles, but how I received the dish this weekend was not nearly as good. I don't think we will be back.

    Not sure what happened to this place as we have been coming here and ordering the same food every time. The baked brie was cold and looks very sad. The brie used to oozed in the plate but this time it seems like it was taken from the fridge and directly put in the plate. Definitely not baked - it was cold!!! The sides that came with it looks like for one year old. The Brussels Sprouts and the Venison meatballs was also cold and had to send it back. FYSA, the restaurant was not busy plenty of tables that are empty. So that is not an issue here. Will not be coming anytime soon
