This is not the first time we have gone to MS. After arrival, we sat for more than thirty minutes. Upon reminding the server that we were waiting, she responded that she did not come to our table because we were talking. We ordered chicken fajitas and veggie fajitas. Chicken fajitas has no vegetables and veggie fajitas had very few vegetables. It was clearly sloppy job. Tortillas came five minutes after fajitas were served. After dinner all six of us were wondering if we made a good choice to visit Mexican Sugar, Plano location.

Rodolfo (I think this was his name) was a great waiter. We came out for lunch to celebrate my mother’s birthday and he really took care of her and our table. He made sure we had what we needed and was very helpful when something was needed. I’m just glad my mom had a good time and an overall good experience.

Food was good. Service was really really good. 2 problem will be readon I may not go to this restaurant. First, it was very very noisy, we literally had to shout from one end to tslk with orher end of table. Curved interior ceiling design made the noise level unbearable. The best example of - it looks good but not practical architecture! Second, it was very worm inside. This may be due to time we went, 7pm on summer day or too many people inside restaurant. If you have plan to go for lunch or dinner and also have a talk with the people you go with, this may not be a good option.

The food was great! The restaurant was a little warmer than what you would expect on a hot day. The service was meh. The server didn’t refill water and was not able to split our check into 3…apparently because we came through a reservation…? It’s 2025, not sure if he was lazy and lied or they aren’t just technologically advanced. Anyways, I had to put all of $150 bill on my card. It kinda ruined the experience.

This used to be one of our go-to spots, but after the recent changes, it’s no longer on our list. The new menu is a letdown—many of the old favorites are gone, and the brunch menu is awkwardly tucked into the main one, making it harder to navigate. Unfortunately, the food quality has taken a hit as well. Service was noticeably slow during our visit, and we had to remind the staff to bring out the rest of our meal after some items were forgotten. The overall experience felt disorganized and underwhelming. It's disappointing to see such a decline in a place that once consistently delivered great food and service.

Food was really good and for the most part service was great. One persons meal got forgotten and the. Resolution was terrible. Everyone was done before food was delivered. The noise of restaurant was deafening and would make me think twice about coming back. Not sure if anything can be done about it, but so noisy it was t fun having conversations.
