It was 1/2 price burger day. My friend and I both ordered the kids size burgers. My turkey burger was over cooked and came on a full size bun. Don’t they have slider buns? My friend ordered a kids cheese burger. Same big bun and the cheese was burnt and the heat was well done. But it only cost us $5 each.... we should have sent our food back but we didn’t have the time to wait. Very unsatisfactory food. Not sure I will return anytime soon.

We understand Johnny’s is dropping Open Table in favor of Resy. This move has no advantage to customers (no reward) and means we will likely not frequent the restaurant as we have in the past. How sad, as this was once a favorite.

I go to Johnny’s when I want a quiet time reading over breakfast or having a conversation with friend. Really enjoy the calm and friendly atmosphere.

We decided to bring my inlaws to Johnny's for a casual anniversary celebration - with our 8 month old! While we'd dined here before, I couldn't remember how it would be to have a little one with us for brunch. It was wonderful - we saw so many kids around - the scene was just lively enough and the staff was very accommodating to our little boy. Oh, and the food was spectacular! We will definitely be back for a Sunday brunch!

We sat in the room with the bar. That was the first time. All the other times we have been in one of the other two rooms which were much quieter and had a much nicer ambiance.

I loved the vibe in this restaurant! We were checking out Loyola University and stopped in for lunch. Johnnys is deceptively large but feels intimate inside. We ordered from the Brunch menu. I had a Woodford bourbon cocktail with fig syrup and loved it so much I ordered another. The crab bisque was wonderful as was my Greek salad. My son ordered the pancakes stack and my husband ordered eggs Benedict. Both said their meals were delicious. We polished this off with molasses ginger cookies and cafe lattes and left with full/happy tummies. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant.

The food was very good but we did not see our server for long stretches. Consequently, we were not able to do what we would have liked to do including buying a cookie when we left. They may have been short staffed that day.

In my experience Johnny’s can be great or so-so. Today was just ok. I was sorry that we weren’t informed of the specials. I would have loved to try the meatballs. Forman Wolf provide amazing consistency at their other venues but not at Johnny’s. I only go to Johnny’s when Petit Louis or

Service was nice. If you want light and are coming for lunch or brunch, the ground floor bar area is much nicer. One of the dishes, grilled calamari needs to be reviewed. They are dripping in oil and bacon fat plus a trace of some greens. After eating the calamari, the plate was left with a quarter inch deep of bacon fat and oil. Also, there was more bacon than calamari. Not a healthy dish at all. Remove the bacon, this is not what people want if they order grilled calamari, add red pepper and green, should not be swimming in fat. The omelet was good.

Cubano sandwich was tasty but dry. Fish and chips was poor quality, poorly cooked and way too expensive at 21 usd. Wine fair. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall, disappointing.

Our brunch was wonderful! Our server, Warren, was excellent. Great sense of humor, and took care of every need. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back!

Server was loud and disruptive- she had someone shadowing her but did not mention it which was just odd. She was friendly but not in a fine dining way. Your servers should be well trained and professional.

We had to ask several times for tea, then for the cream that was forgotten, then for the homemade chips that were forgotten. My crab bisque was lukewarm. The BLT had very little bacon, pale tomatoes and served on a roll rather than toasted bread. Have had mich better service and food in the past. Hopefully, this was just a bad day

We went there with my son who was afraid of the deer heads in the back. The woman that moved us to a different location was very kind. However we did have some issues. Although my food was decent, my friend's salmon was not. It had no flavor and was not cooked properly. Also, the waiting staff should be trained to not place food dishes in front of young children. We got the hummus appetizer and the person that brought it out placed it on the table in front of my one year old. It's just common sense to not put food dishes in front of a child that young. He could have been burnt or thrown the dishes. Also it was very very hot in the restaurant causing there to be awkward smells in certain areas we walked through.

We went on a Tuesday to try their burgers during their 1/2 price special and were happily surprised. Both the regular burger and the black bean were on the special and both were delicious. Had a choice of three sides to choose from and we picked the greens (a good side salad with shaved Parmesan) and fries (which were enough for two). Service was great!

We stopped by for 1/2 priced burger night. Both my daughter and I had burgers and they were not good. We have really enjoyed food from Johnny's in the past so the poor quality was a surprise. I am sure we will be back but just not for burgers.

The new, though not so new menu is the best. Everything is always consistently good, much like its neighbor/sister Petit Louis. Michelle always makes a point to say hello, which makes us feel even more welcome.

We always enjoy the creative dishes at Johnny's. Dining partner very pleased with his crab bisque followed by the rockfish tacos. I liked my 6 tender scallops on deliciously lightly dressed salad. We LOVED the decadent s'mores mousse cake we shared. Attentive service and mgmt stopped by to check on us.
