We are huge steak people. Steak just wasn't a good cut (Filet not tender). Service was slow, lobster bisque was awful (sent it back entirely). Charley's and Salt Rock are much much better.
Everything from the service, food, and ambiance was phenomenal. Every attention to detail was felt and appreciated from the presentation, customer service, knowledgable and curteous staff down to the way every single dish was perfectly cooked - making this the perfect choice to celebrate our dear mom's birthday! Even though a splurge (however you certainly get what you pay for here), we would happily recommend and look forward to our next visit.
Went for an anniversary celebration. We had fantastic food and excellent service. The wine pairing was absolutely fabulous. They really treat you well and make any special occasion that much more special.
great service drinks and food. We will go back. waitress helpful
Service and food was outstanding!
Server was very familiar with the menu along with providing excellent service.
My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary with dinner at Rococo's we had a very enjoyable dinner. The history of the building and the overall current design is awesome keeping a lot of the original structure with current flare.. the food was awesome also
Food was excellent! Seating could be better for a romantic night, it’s not setup for cozy dinner conversations. Service was very slow although I believe this was just our waiter and does not represent the service as a whole. Desert was delicious, highly recommend the broken Tiramisu.
Food and plate presentation were fabulous. Ron was an excellent waiter and took great care of my wife and me!!
The grass fed filet was delightful, as were the twice baked potatoes! Highly recommend!
Superb service with great steaks and side dishes. The smashed corn is phenomenal. My steak was great however my wife was not as pleased with her snapper meal. We had one of the finest servers we have ever had and the ambiance is very nice. We will be back. From our experience, this is the finest restaurant in downtown Saint Petersburg.
Met 3 friends for a birthday celebration and it could not have been nicer. Great, great food. Wonderful service by experienced wait staff who weren't stuffy. Couldn't be more pleased.
We had an event to attend in St. Pete that evening so we decided to give Rococco a try. The atmosphere was quiet and elegant, and the food was very good. The service was acceptable, but not outstanding. Our waiter was pretty “matter of fact” and did not exhibit much in the way of personality or friendliness. He got the job done, though. After dinner we went to the bar and had a glass of wine; the bartenders were friendly and engaging.
Awesome. Food and wine are the best value in the Bay Area.
The food was good but the smell in the building was moldy and detracted from the experience. We could not wait to get out of the place. It looked clean and fresh and everyone was friendly, helpful, efficient but it didn't cover the smell.
Good was great and the service was exceptional. Very educated server on drinks and food. Had a great experience!
This was our 3rd time here. As before, the staff was friendly and attentive, the drinks were well made, and the food was exceptional.
Worst restaurant we ever visited, period. We were very disappointed.
My boyfriend and I wanted to have a fancy date night and we had an outstanding time! The service the food the ambiance everything was remarkable!
Loved the decor and that they support local growers, however it was very expensive!
Great server! Very good wine list (markup was a little high). Perfectly cooked steaks
We had an amazing dinner at Rococo. The service and atmosphere were both great, but the food was truly exceptional. Yes, it is expensive, but it was worth it. My husband had the lobster bisque to start and said it was the best he has ever tasted (and he has tasted a lot!). I had the wedge salad and oh my, the bacon jam combined with the bleu cheese dressing was AMAZING! Truly phenomenal. We then had the NY Strip and the Grass Fed Filet with the Blue Cheese Butter Brulee and they were wonderful. The steaks were perfectly prepared and the sauce was excellent. We both kept saying it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Oh, and their wine list is award winning too. :) When we are back in the area, we will definitely return.
Rococo is always a treat! Great food, wine & drinks. Every time we go out to a special celebration everyone wants to go to Rococo.
Very disappointing food preparation and the white wine was served warm above 60 degrees and the host argued that it shoul be that warm. Used to be a. Ely good restaurant. The service was good - I felt bad for the server
The service was great.
There was a musty smell in restaurant when coming in very strong.
Waiter very informative.
Filet was good but a tad on dry side
Maybe I just had way too high of expectations from some of the reviews - but nothing we had was extraordinary or worthy of the price tag.
beef carpaccio - very unexciting or flavorful
filet - was fine - a tad overcooked.
cowboy ribeye - was good - but 100% not worth $62.
creamed spinach - my alltime fave side to get at a steakhouse - was super bland.
the best part of the meal was the creme brulee my husband had at the end.
nothing tasted bad- but nothing blew me away at all. very average.
Back to Berns we go....
All the reviews were spot on. Fantastic steak house.
Great atmosphere, food and service. My favorite in the area
We went for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The food, service, and ambiance were excellent- the best meal we’ve had in St Petersburg.
Wonderful service, ambiance, and food. Rarely is my steak cooked to my request and Rococo dis a great job!! Everything was delicious.
One of the best prepared sirloin steaks I ever had! Octopus appetizer was excellent and the Caesar salad was very good. Great drinks, service and ambiance. Highly recommend this place!
Overall the food was great however, there were a couple of things that lead to a less than steller review...
1) The first sat us at a table that had not been bused
2) When moved to another table we requested the booth at the window and were told that it was reserved. No one ever sat at that table nor did they ever sit anyone near our sections, the reastaurtant was dead so I can't understand why they wouldn't let us have that table.
3)Our waitress started out by asking if we would like Sparkling or flat water, we should of normal water is just fine and she then brings a bottle of flat water. When I asked "are we going to have to pay for that" She made me feel like I was crazy because I specified flat water. I guess I need to be more specific and say tap water. Once she took the water away she made a commit like "ok are you feeling better after that water situation" HUH?!?
The food however was excellent!! Best steak I have had in a very long time!!
I had a grwat experience and great service
Dines at Rococo several times--each time a real treat. Always look forward to the next one.
WOW is all I can say about this place! Everything we had was delicious.. lump crab and Lobster bisque for appetizers... 10oz Fillet, seasoned vegetables, mashed potatoes and cream corn for our meal and it was simply amazing! The staff is great. Wine list is great with a lot of selection. The GM Kevin even stopped at our table to introduce himself and check on our experience. I highly recommend this gem!!! 5 STARS!!!!!!
It was our last night of our honeymoon in St. Pete and Sean, our waiter asked us if it was a special occasion and out came 2 glasses of champagne. Such a nice touch! Then it was on to the best Korean Duck BBQ appetizer (almost ordered another for my main!) and a tuna burger that was sushi grade tuna. My husband ordered a steak and was in heaven. The truffle fries were great, not overpowering and the whipped potatoes were delicious. From beginning to end the service was great, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was nice, quiet where you could talk. We had gone to another restaurant for our after wedding party (small) and the noise was deafening! Ask about the history of the building. There's also a private wine room.
Excellent service and food! Started with the tuna tartare which was paired with mushrooms instead of the typical avocado and the flavor combo was beautiful-almost earthy. I had the New York strip and added the blue cheese brûlée on top, adding a nice funkiness to the flavor and brought out a nutty note to the steak. My boyfriend had the dry-aged ribeye. Both steaks were cooked to perfection (we ordered them medium rare). We split the vegetable of the day, which was roasted cauliflower, the mushrooms, and the whipped potatoes, which all complimented the steaks so well. Our server was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We ordered a bottle of Pinot noir, but they ended up not having it so our server recommended a 2016 Lone Oak Ranch Pinot Noir and it was absolutely amazing! If you are ever looking for a restaurant to fulfill your fine dining urges or a birthday or anniversary, this is the place! I would love to go back.
Been here many times with great meal and service. This time filet over cooked rib-eye extremely salty have had better steak. Manager did offer to replace filet, but we declined. Special occasion was just ok service just ok but server was knowledgeable when questioned. Hard to recommend.
This is our go to special occasion fine dining restaurant. Sadly, the quality and overall experience has diminished significantly. The food, service and overall experience were not up to Rococo’s previous reputation nor our previous visits. Not sure why, but everything seems just slightly above ordinary. New management? New chef? Not sure, but certainly no longer in St Petersburg’s top tier.
Delicious stake and they made my day special. The gorgeous scenery really complemented everything more. The servers were really attentive too.
It was a special family reunion and we ordered the porter house...cooked poorly and the filet mignon...cookies poorly. Out of common courtesy it was "fixed" but still came out wrong again. We just paid our bill n left. Not likely to return or refer a friend...
