We loveLaBrasa. As always the service and food were spot on. Knowing that part of the vibe of the restaurant is the music, at times it was hard to hold a conversation because of the volume level.
The food was too salty. Maybe the chef over seasoned the food last meal was great, this one was not as good just a little too salty
Getting sick and tired of writing raving reviews about this place but Mr. Vu, Erich, the staff, the atmosphere, the drinks, and the menu leaves a lasting impression on us time after time after time. 100% of the time it’s awesome every time!
We had 6:45 reservations and felt rushed and ignored at the same time. The place really is a club that serves food. The staff was removing tables as guests left for the club crowd, we found it uncomfortable. The food was ok but was not spaced out and the server wanted to remove our appetizers even though we were not finished, to serve entrees. The music was so loud we could not have a conversation. It might but a fun club but not a good restaurant
Food and atmosphere is amazing!
Great dinner with friends. We shared a pitcher of white sangria and it was great. Dinner was excellent.
My girlfriend took me here for my birthday and we both loved it so much that I took her for her’s. The staff is very kind and friendly. The ambience of the restaurant is so cozy. You instantly feel welcomed the moment you walk in. (I highly suggest the veggie bibimbap!!!)
Always, always FABULOUS. Consistently high quality. The menu is so inventive, the restaurant is so wildly original in its decor, and the service is always excellent.
La Brasa is one of our favorite places to take guests!
We went for our 13 year anniversary and everything was Excellent. It was my husbands first time going and he enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
La Brasa is a great place for dinner before the symphony. First, when you go in, you might be lounging on a couch or a bench with huge fluffy pillows. Everything is colorful! Then, the menu is a set of wonderful choices of Peruvian/Asian fusion foods. We chose whole marinated roasted chickens, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes, Chilean Sea Bass, candied Brussels sprouts, street corn on the cob....it was delicious! We would have stayed for steamy coffee and delectable desserts, but the music of the OKC Symphony Orchestra awaited us! Excellent food and service and excellent music made for a rich evening!!
I love this restaurant; it is one of my favorite! The prices are moderate to high, however, everything I have ever tried here is delicious. I only have one issue with the restaurant. I did not realize until already seated that after a certain time, there is a burlesque show. I wouldn't have made reservations at that time, if I knew.
Very relaxing , love the menu, great service . Delicious cocktails
Really inventive and delicious menu and cool atmosphere
Our server was absolutely wonderful. The food was wonderful as well. I loved the ambience and the vibe. The only drawback was that we had an 8:30 reservation. Because of flooding in the South we were going to be 30 minutes late. We called at 8, 30 minutes before our reservation, and told them we would be there at 9. We were told it was no problem, and not an issue. When we arrived we told the hostess that we had a reservation, and gave her our name. She informed us that we were late, and that they always cancelled late reservations, but we were just lucky enough to have an open table or we would have to wait. But in a kind of ugly tone. I loved everything about this place except for that interaction. Had we not been hungry we would have walked out and missed out on this fabulous experience. So 4 stars over all, I would train your younger front of the house staff the art of tact.
The food was delicious and they give very generous portions. (we both had half of what we ordered to bring home with us.) I had made reservations for our wedding anniversary and had asked that we not be seated in the middle of the walk way because I know several of their 2 person tables are in less desirable places. We were put in the room of one of the couched areas, table that seated 8 and we are right next to them! It was like being seated at the children's table at family get togethers Thanksgiving and Christmas. La Brasa, if you are going to have a 2 person table there, at least put up a curtain dividing the large group table from the 2 person! Thankfully, we had finished our meal before the group came in. If we had more time, we would've stayed and had a couple of cocktails, but ended up going elsewhere for those.
Love the food and the server was very good, but they need to work on the floor plan for seating.
This is our favorite restaurant in Oklahoma City. Unique seating, interesting artwork and attractive lighting provide a unique and fun ambience. The service is excellent, and the food is beautifully presented and tastes great. We'll be back.
Great place, food, atmosphere and most of all service!
First, let me say, the food was outstanding. However, when we arrived at 5:30 PM, we were seated in what felt like below freezing temperatures. We asked to be moved and was accommodated. The music was way too loud! We could barely hear each other and hold a decent conversation. We were about to leave, but someone turned down the music just in time, so we stayed and enjoyed a wonderful meal.
The pisco sour drinks were better than in Chile. Appetizers & dinner were very flavorful. Enjoyed ourselves & the overall atmosphere was fun.
Ambiance is fun and food is always on point. Lomo soltado is a must if you haven’t tried it yet. My favorite spot in OKC.
LaBrasa is such a nice place for a cool date nite out on the town. Expertly crafted cocktails and KILLER white queso and quac, with delicious fresh made tortilla strips.
Wife had the really delicious pollo mac and i had the deconstructed chicken tamale with a couple sides. Over all, the food is very tasty, but the tamale became a bit 1-note after the really delicious crema was gone. If I'd had a bit more acidic side and just overall more flavor punch in the items i chose, it would have been a knockout. I've had the seafood paella (actually, it's way more of a risotto-esque seafood dish, as it's not crisped rice in a true paella pan) and the lomo saltado in the past. both are really nice.
we've been dining at LaBrasa for several years, and it's always a very nice evening. i wouldn't hesitate to take out of town friends and fam, as a showcase of the hipper foodier side of OKC.
Great vibe, but very loud. Food was delicious as was the drink. I was shocked at how quickly the food was delivered after ordering.
i felt that we were being rushed. couldn't enjoy the conversations because servers were coming all the time removing plates that clearly we were still working on the food. did not clear table before bring the dessert.
waiter forgot to bring the coffee with the dessert.
Great atmosphere and drinks. The food was delicious per usual. Our service was horrible. The food came out fairly quickly but cocktails took forever and we rarely saw our server. Rather than apologizing for a drink taking 20 minutes from the bar, our server made excuses and made us feel bad for asking! The first time I went to La Brasa with a large group I was really pleased with service and speed at getting our cocktails and entrees.
I have been here probably 6 times. It’s always good. If you haven’t been in the last 9-12 months, you need to go again. There’s more seating, decor and atmosphere are better and the staff is very good.
We love La Brasa - always have a great experience and Johnathon is the BEST server!
Must have the chicken and get the side of ricoto hot sauce. Gf enjoyed the paella
Second time going and it was even better this time!
We had a great time on our date. Highly recommended!!
Fantastic food, service and ambiance! A true getaway in the heart of the city!
Incredible first experience, and probably the best food I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I attended, it was 80s night, the servers were punctual and polite, and very knowledgeable about their menu. The owner came by and spoke to us personally and shook our hands, and made sure that we felt at home. The fish and chicken my girlfriend and I shared were perfectly seasoned, and succulent. I would come here every night if I could if it were not for the price, but boy is it worth it.
We came to see a show and eat dinner. The music was so loud between the show that we couldn’t talk to each-other without shouting or speaking right into eachother’s ear. We were seated at a large table in a nook with only a blue fluorescent lighting the back mural. We are in our 20s-30s and we needed our phone flashlights to read the menus. Half of our party left early without ordering meals because the drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive.
The show was great and we were able to move our chairs out of the table nook to see it. The food was perfect and delicious. Although any type of beverage order took very long, food was not a long wait as kitchen staff brought it out. I would recommend the food at La Brasa to anyone if it weren’t for the terrible weekend dinner ambiance.
James Vu and staff are amazing great drinks and even better food!! I’m telling everyone to go there!!
This is the best restaurant in OKC. Flavor bursting exposion. Awesome atmosphere.
Been to LaBrasa several times...always enjoyed the experience.
On Saturday July 28th a group of 6 of us went for a nice dinner. Everything went well...had a good server, but it was clear our table was an afterthought to him. Meal was delicious but attentiveness was lacking...he had to reminded on more than one occasion of something we needed.
Near the end of the evening we noticed they were transforming the place into a dance club...Salsa I believe. So after I tabbed out (over $400) I asked if we could have a drink and hang out...we were told absolutely...we ordered. Drinks never showed up. Never. I asked 3 different people about our drinks...nothing. I get that they were switching things up...but I didn’t think that taking care of a simple request was going to be impossible.
If I could get the delicious food and better service...I’d go back all the time. But, based on the way the night ended...at this point it’s doubtful if I will ever go back. There’s simply too many good restaurants in OKC competing for my dining dollar.
Great ambiance! I had the steak and chicken and it was great. Nice place for a group of friends or date.
Really great menu. Wonderful selection and quality. Btw I don’t write reviews often, this place is really good
Amazing dinner! Wonderful waiter that really helped us navigate the menu. One of the best meals we have had in okc!
Great food! Went with five friends and everyone loved what they ordered. Music was quite loud and strobe lights were a little annoying, but I could see how this would be fun on the weekends. Service was awesome too! Will return to try other menu items
