Fantastic as always! Food was outstanding and Anthony tended to our every need perfectly!
Excellent as always!
Still the best restaurant in Bellevue. Enjoyed ourselves immensely...again!
Always a treat to be at Bis. Service outstanding as is the food! It truly has become the neighborhood go-to place.
Food was not up to usual standards. Very disappointing food. Caesar salad was terrible bold lettuce with pink edges. Halibut was good. I hope They haven’t become complacent.
We are two ladies celebratingn our birthdays but were seated near a round table of 6-8 men. They were noisy and therefore we could not hear each other very well. The waiter got very busy with them and never asked why we were thereeven though I believe I stated Brithday on my Open Table reservation.
Exellent experience all around. Particularly impressed with the ambience, service and food.
Every aspiring new growth are should have a Bit on Main. People, product, place in perfect harmony.
Neighborhood gem- great food. Easy valet...
My wife and I love this place! We probably bring the average age down to about 70 years old but we don’t care. We are nostalgic people who appreciate the experience of a great experience. We love Bis and we’ll keep coming back until we are 70 and beyond!
We had another very pleasant lunch with good friends. We'll continue to dine there.
Had a great anniversary dinner. The mushroom risotto appetizer was incredible
Been to Bis twice in the past month. Both experiences were outstanding in every way. We had avoided Bis for a few years after one too many so-so meals. Can't say what changed (new chef?) but Bis is back and better than ever! Bellevue has so few restaurants I'd consider taking an out of town guest - Bis is back on my list. On both our recent visits, service was congenial, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was excellent. Top quality ingredients. Extremely well executed. Appealingly presented. Adequate portions. Price point is in line any restaurant of similar type and style. Wine is not my thing so I can't comment on the wine list except to say that it appears more than adequate. Menu options are diverse enough to suit all tastes without being boring or skewing touristy. For most entrees, attention is paid to creating a complex flavor profile. The veal chop was especially decilious. Risotto, cod, halbut. all excellent too. Appetizers and salads are well executed. Nothing inspiring though. Don't skip the ice cream or sorbet. Unbelievably rich and satisfying. Ambiance is suitable for a wide range of needs. Noise level depends on which section you're in. Can be quiet and romantic or more moderate and boisterous. We saw business groups, locals grabbing a week night meal, families, and couples.
Meal was excellent. Wait staff was attentive but not instrusive.
Halibut was EXCELLENT!!
I love the place and foods, service was awesome! My fiance and I enjoyed our date here.
Excellent food and service. Very high corkage fee.
I had the Caprese salad: it was excellent. We both had the duck: it was cooked as we requested, one medium and the other medium well; excellent combination of flavors. Our waiter Anthony was outstanding. Great dinner.
Have been going to Bis on Main for more than twenty years, it never disappoints, great wine list and cocktails, free valet parking, Joe is very entertaining and I think the thing that is never mentioned is that his waitstaff has been with him longer than I can remember...Truly a good sign of the solid relationship he has with his employees...Where else does one see that sort of thing at a high-end restaurant?
Went with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. We shared two appetizers to start (seared ahi and caprese salad), and instead of bringing them both at the same time, they plated each serving and served them as separate courses. A very nice touch. Food was amazing - I had the clam linguine and we split a creme brulé. Our server was perfect - just enough attention without being overbearing. If he approached the table and realized we were in the middle of a conversation, he would quietly leave and check back later.
P.S. I am a pescatarian, and this place had PLENTY of non-furry/feathered features.
The food was excellent as was the service. My wife loves the pecan pie and she and my daughter shared the garlic chicken entree and loved it.
We had a wonderful dinner and the service was great except it felt like the waiter had done
his job for awhile and we were just another customer.
Even though the power went out near the end of our meal they still kept on trucking. Love Joe and the gang. Can’t wait to go back.
This has long been one of if not my very favorite restaurant in Bellevue. The menu is not huge, but thoughtful and well balanced. Preparation and presentation are first rate. Service is flawless. Plus, I love to support family-owned businesses, not a chain. You cannot go wrong here.
The place was very loud, impossible to have a normal conversation. The service was very slow, upon arriving we just sat and waited for a waiter to just show up for 25 min. Thankfully the waterboy did not take that long. The kitchen was also very slow, we all have cold appetizers which took them 30+min to get out. The main course followed reasonably quickly, the problem was that by that time the wine bottle was empty already. That all said the food was amazing. We will try again on hopefully a less buy day.
Bis on Main celebrated 20 years of service on 9/21/2018. My wife Lisa and I dinner there for the first time in that first year. We are regulars, Joe has the best wine list in Bellevue, the service is fantastic, and we regularly bump into our friends there. Nothing better than sitting at a table on the sidewalk on a summer evening with your love and a glass of wine.
Bis On Main is one of my favorite restaurants on the east side, great service, food delicious, nice presentation, love the ambience, always a good time!
Way under Bis' usual level of service & food quality. When food arrived, it was cold. Salmon was extremely undercooked & mushy. Comp birthday dessert was a stale biscotti & melted sorbet.
Zero bread at the table. Water glasses remained empty for long periods of time. AND I am writing this at 3:30 am because dinner has not been setting well.
Love the crispy garlic chicken and the molten chocolate souffle. We get it every time we come. This is one of our favorite restaurants. It never disappoints. A real gem.
We’ve waited abot 90 min for food and the food was so disappointing. Will not recommend. The only thing we liked was the valet parking.
55th Anniversary !!
It was a nice set up for my friend's 50th birthday get together. We did not stay for dinner but just drinks and appetizers. If you are not a wine drinker it is limited but if you are a wine drinker you should be in heaven. Other than us 4 female there were no other girls! It was all man conducting business meeting. So if you go with that expectation you should be fine! My Watermelon feta salad was AMAZING. Cheese platter was ok. Clams were delicious. I did not try the Ahi Tuna, but the girls really liked it. My personal style does not fit in at this restaurant, but I recommend it for others that are looking for a business meeting appropriate place.
Excellent food and service! Very pleasant atmosphere. It's nice to have this local fare amongst so many chains. I much prefer a unique dining experience, and Bis on Main delivered that. Co-workers were very impressed. The salmon was spectacular!!!!
We were greeted very well from valet to dining room manager to the waiter. Food was wonderful! My husband had the special which was halibut. Cooked perfectly. I had the garlic chicken which was moist with crispy skin. We shared the fries. We celebrated my husbands birthday so had dessert. My husband had the chocolate soufflé that came with a birthday candle. Such a nice touch! I had the creme brûlée. Both were delicious! A very enjoyable evening!
Food was lousy. Duck was 70# fat and not editable. Not going back. To many other good places to eat
The food was delicious - I had the special halibut with crab, and my friend had quiche Lorraine. But — our server, Lance, really made the day! He was helpful but not in the way, and so funny! Probably the best service I have had in a very long time,
Dinner was great but the Caesar salad was overdressed & too garlicky.
Our skewers took forever, but our waiter let us know they burnt it, so they re-made it. Worth the wait.
As always, Bis meets and greets us with warmth, humor and accommodation. We are always grateful for the service Lance provides, the quiet thoughtfulness which allows us to have a romantic evening or a serious business lunch. Thank you for your continuing commitment to Main Street and to Bellevue.
Joe the host is the best and the restaurant food was amazing. Best choice hands down for any special occasion. Service was amazing. Perfect Night for my girlfriends birthday.
