The Palmetto Cafe
Brunch: Saturday: 9:00am - 11:30am, Sunday: 9:00am - 1:30pm
Lunch: Daily: 11:30am - 3:00pm
We had a great breakfast at the Palmetto Cafe. The food was delicious and our server, John, was wonderful. He was attentive and thoughtful, without being intrusive. All in all it was a lovely way to start the day.
Miss ruthie was wonderful! Food delicious! Mike was entertaining! Great restuarant!
It was outstanding as usual - i am never disappointed!
A great place to have breakfast, anytime we are in Charleston we will come back.
Unpretentious, in a good way. Service top notch. Friendly atmosphere. Weather permitting, the courtyard is great.
We enjoyed the Palmetto Cafe for breakfast -- which was awesome! It may be equally great for lunch and dinner but we would need to explore that on another trip. It is adjacent to a beautiful hotel lobby and was really a lovely venue. The food was high quality and the service excellent (like most high-end places in Charleston). I was very surprised at how reasonable the breakfast buffet was ($19 I believe) given the quality, service and ambiance. I would most definitely return and if I lived there this could easily become my "go to" place!
Food was excellent. Service was slow and poor. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed.
Waiter tried but just could not manage all the tables in a timely manner.
Warm and wonderful service and wonderful food. It is a really beautiful room and I just enjoy sitting there being pampered!
The experience is always second to none.
Loved the brunch at Palmetto Café. It was a little difficult to find using Google Maps and Waze since it is tucked inside a hotel. Service was amazing and the food was extra fresh. The Eggs Benedict on the buffet had a base of delicious house-made English muffins that made them really delicious! The fruit was plentiful and the French pressed Ethiopian coffee was the best! Would love to go back any time we are in Charleston!
We just love the Palmetto Cafe for a special lunch with friends. The Palmetto Sampler is the best!!!
Made reservations for brunch.
My daughter and I were sat at a very small (rectangular) uncomfortable table.
Our waitress was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The food (brunch/buffet) was just average, the sausage links were hard (over cooked), everything else was just there. Not worth $19. The Belgium waffles mentioned on the buffet, are not served regularly. But our waitresses had some prepared for us. She definitely delivered great service.
The food is always excellent as well as the service! CJ did a great job as our server. Mrs Scott always greets us at the door. She is a good person! We always enjoy our visits to The Palmetto Cafe!
Nice place with a great southern flare! Brunch had many great options.
Food was fabulous! Service was fabulous!
John was fabulous!
Michael was fabulous!
Best brunch I’ve had in a long time. Excellent food choices. Everything taste wonderful.
Was beautiful setting with great food and excellent service. The surprise was that in the app, it showed $ for cost, and was much higher than that.
Lovely time.. we’ll be back soon! John was our server and he was fabulous!
Very pretty surroundings, service was very good. French toast and bacon were good but pricey for the quality. Still, it is worth paying for the scenery and convenient location.
We had the breakfast buffet. Every item at the buffet was lukewarm. They did have an omelet station but the line was too long and we didn't want to stand around for 15 minutes to get an omelet. We had the scrambled eggs and they were lukeawrm at best as was everything else. For $29.00 it was a complete ripoff.
Great experience, glad I spent my birthday there!
We had breakfast there each morning we stayed at the Belmond. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious! The staff was so friendly and always greeted us by name. They made us feel welcome and special.
Great dining experience on the first morning of our vacation! We dined with our son who is allergic to dairy, walnuts and pecans. The staff was accommodating and exceedingly kind in their care of this situation. Thank you!
We had a really skilled waitress and were so appreciative of all her special attention. Please thank her for us.
I really enjoyed all the service it was remarkable.
We lived the location and ambiance. Even though we could not sit outdoors due to the rain it felt like we were due to the large widows overlooking the courtyard. Food was excellent and our server Ruthie was the the sweetest. The crab cake was exquisite and the creme brûlée was decadent.
Excellent Sunday brunch and service. Ordered off the menu. Beautiful setting and noise level low.
We had breakfast at the Palmetto on July the 8th before departing Charleston. We both had the buffet. The staff and the ambiance were both pleasant. The staff was super helpful. The buffet has fresh fruit and many tasty items. It was however pricey. That being said the caramel brioche was one of the most AMAZING padgries I have ever eaten!!!!
Waiter misheard me twice, I ordered waffle. He brought out pancakes. He took it off the bill so that’s cool. My husband breakfast sandwich was greasy and did not taste very good. The atmosphere was pretty. There is a gorgeous courtyard to look at while dining. It was very expensive for regular breakfast. $25 and up!
Food was great and our server was outstanding. Had a great time!!! Will definitely return.
Food, drink and service was fabulous!
Thank you Lily and Gray! Good job!
Best place for lunch in Charleston!
My daughter and I came for lunch to celebrate her birthday. The food was wonderful. The venue delightful. At the end of our meal she was presented with a lovely crème brûlée. A very nice lunch.
Sunday Buffet, great fresh food. Excellent service. Our anniversary weekend, quite fitting finale
Decor and atmosphere was amazing and so were the drinks. The She Crab soup spectacular but the entree hamburger and lobster was the worst I’ve ever had.
the decor was lovely, the tables were elegantly set, the brunch was "to die for" excellent, & our server was energetic, attentive, excellent and charming (Adriana).... it turns out that both Adrianna & i were from Chicago, originally and we had a nice/nostalgic chat about that city.... thanks to y'all for a great time.....
Nice garden view, John is excellent.
Great food and excellent service. Kevin split our food for us to make it easier to share. Highly recommend.
Most pleasant. In spite of big Spoleto festival not full at all. Food excellent. Champagne expensive. Overall nice experience but don’t go with an empty wallet!!
Great Service and very nice breakfast options. The best breakfast experience we had in Charleston, SC
