My fiend and I went to Travelle for her birthday. It was her first time in Chicago and this was my way of treating her to a nice meal. The food was amazing. The restaurant also treated my friend to a delicious desert because of her birthday! The ambiance is great and is very relaxing. There was only one hiccup that we encountered with the server. He brought our check BEFORE we even asked for it or finished our meal. I feel like this restaurant is not the type of establishment where guests should feel like they are being rushed. And after we paid and left tips, the waiter CAME BACK to take the check, and again, we weren’t even leaving yet at that point. He took the check but not our empty plates or drink glasses. I don’t want to name him personally so I’ll just leave it here in hopes that management will be able to communicate this small etiquette issue to its staff. We’ll definitely be back though!

Dining after fashion show with Rochelle @ Travelle Kitchen + Bar, 330 N Wabash Ave, 2nd Floor Chicago, IL, 60611 We arrived to valet parking. Up to the 2nd floor space again that have been transformed from the IBM cafeteria to elegant space for dining with a wine selections for well developed palate. We were warmly greeted with a smile, and the evening started the journey to where all would be well please with smile, and service. We both started with tea and honey... Ordered the carrot soup with ginger, thyme, ramp butter, crème fraîche, focaccia croutons. This was creme fraîche accompanied with toasted pumpkin seeds. The soup was finger lickin’ good. The soup was lightly warmed. We would have Preferred a little warmer soup. Yes, we let them know the soup was not hot to our liking or just tepid! 2nd courses were just salads.... Rochelle has they Kale Caesar salad with roast sweet potatoes, apple pickles shallots. Shaved Parmesan cheese on top. Rochelle prefers the salad dressing to be on the side to control the amount in the salad. The addressing was cashew vinaigrette. Leonard’s was a Blue Cheese wedge salad with fried egg, tomato, avocado, green goddess addressing, had to request some additional blue cheese and green goddess addressing Yesssssssss that was just very good. Endri V took our order. Jacob provide service on top. He got new tea because it too was tepid. This time more honey and slices of lemon. We had lengthy conversation with Thibaut Idenn Beverage Director. He was very gracious. We spoken with both Nancy & Matt, Nancy was very attentive although she was not actually serving us that evening. We ask for front of house assistance manager Marc Silenceieux, he was vacationing. The valet open and closed both car doors, and we departed. Shalom 💎💎💎💎💎 Dining with Rochelle @ Travelle Kitchen + Bar, 330 N Wabash Ave, 2nd Floor Chicago, IL, 60611

Party of 4 - 1 filet, 2 fish special I think Branzino? Brussel sprouts and turkey meatballs for the 3rd. All dishes were perfectly cooked and the presentation was spectacular. Service was excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Also had breakfast here and had the frittata and yogurt with granola. Coffee is French Press, delicious! Breakfast came out hot which is always a plus. Service for breakfast was a little spotty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and bar. The restaurant and bar are surrounded by windows and lovely city/river views. I have eaten here 4 times and been completely satisfied.

Birthday Dining with Rochelle @ Travelle Kitchen + Bar, 330 N Wabash Ave, 2nd Floor Chicago, IL, 60611 We arrived to valet parking. Up to the 2nd floor space that have been transformed from the IBM cafeteria to elegant space for dining with a wine selections for well developed palate. We were warmly greeted with a smile, and the evening started the journey to where all would be well please with smile, service, and surrendering to our palate’s extravaganza. The 1st course started with an aray of items that included deep fried octopus with shaded figs (nduja kabocha squash beignet, fig, olive, meyer lemon) and we opted out of beignet because of pig; the carrot soup with ginger, thyme, ramp butter, crème fraîche, focaccia croutons. This was creme fraîche accompanied with toasted pumpkin seeds. The soup was finger lickin’ good. 2nd course were just very timely and tasteful. Neat and firm the Cobia was pan seared and finished in the oven top with sauce on half. It was plated with an assortment of roasted cauliflowers (various color). This included cauliflower, chives, pumpkin vadouvan curry crème fraîche. The other 2nd course was the Tunisian rack of lamb. This chops were like butter, and the favor were bones cleaning. This included baby carrots, hazelnut vinaigrette, sheep’s milk yogurt Our 3rd course was a Blue Cheese wedge salad with fried egg, tomato, avocado, green goddess. Yesssssssss that was just very good. House spun ice creams was provided and we selected vanilla, peppermint, and banana; the was 3 scoops. The was 1 scoop of vanilla tahini.

The Valentine’s Day menu exceeded our expectations! The oyster was refreshing with a creative touch, and the lobster bisque featured true French style taste (definitely a strained broth of crustaceans vs cheap tomato soup) with perfectly poached pieces of lobster. The fish course and wagyu were also perfect. We had a tailored wine tasting from the French sommelier who was so personable and knew his pairings. The nicoise tuna salad needed work to pull the deconstruction together. We will come back. A great chef!!!

Carrot soup was good as others have described. Cacio e Pepe had no flavor and needed salt. The grapefruit pavlova dessert had good citrus flavor but came with a rock hard puck of merengue rather than a pavlova. Service was good if not a bit too attentive.

Lovely experience all the way around. The bar is really sharp with comfortable seating options, a cool view over the Chicago River and nice service. Our meal was excellent. We enjoyed oysters, Asiago bread (spicy! spread), their unique take on a Caesar salad, plus a bone-in ribeye and Brussels Sprouts as a side. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. The view into the glass-walled kitchen was cool and the dining room is very nice. We’d definitely call Travelle a hidden gem and will be back!

The best kept secret in Chicago. This is my girlfriend and mines favorite restaurant in the city. I saw it on Check Please a few years ago. Went for my sisters bday, friend's bday, and my yearly anniversary/gfs bday dinner. The staff here is nothing short of incredible!! Very knowledgeable of the menu, polite and just top notch, nothing more you can ask for in service. The interior of the restaurant is soft, relaxed and refined. You feel very comfortable in this high end restaurants, somewhere you can go for 2-3 hours feeling relaxed the entire time. They hooked me the first time I went, they had a different menu with chicken wings on it, they brought them out and they were delicious. However the kitchen forgot a garnish, we didn't know this until our server brought us another plate of them with the correct garnish because they wanted us to have them the "right way". This is what I call taking care of your customer and putting your best foot forward. Drinks are incredible as well, the tropical London Lover is amazing. Top 3 steaks I have ever had. NY strip, and the Salt Crusted Ribeye. Kitchen is in a glass box in the dining room making for excellent show! I cannot say enough compliments about this place! Please go and support it!
