This place reports to be great food in Salem. It was mediocre at best especially for the money we paid. This place is overrated and over priced. Service was a bit slow and again the food was not as good as it should have been and I had a ribeye. Could have cooked it at home better. Fish was a bit overcooked and small for the price.

We attended this event assuming it was to be held in the restaurant. Instead it was in a large room in the hotel that is in severe need of updating. We wanted to try out the restaurant, and I guess we should've gone on a regular day. All in all tho, it was a decent brunch. The server was attentive and very kind. The lady handling payment was not so much.

This was recommended to us by a local. They felt that this was a high end place. Perhaps we are spoiled which is why we did not like it. Its hotel food. The Lamb was horrible. We basically were in a bar setting with tables pushed together. The server did not know much about wine. We wanted a more exclusive table and dinning experience this is not what this was. The best thing was the lady singing on stage. She was good.

Compared to a lot of the other Easter Brunches in the area, this is very reasonably priced, has a large variety nice food, wait staff is friendly, and for children the visit of the life sized Easter Bunny is a special treat.

I have had their fish twice now and both times it was very good. I had the Halibut once and the Salmon the other time. I suggested they put a parmesan encrusted Halibut on their menu also. They have a really good steak fillet as well. Good food and nice environment.

Food was good but over priced. For what we paid service was less than adequate. We went on Valentine's evening and we were disappointed. Atmosphere and service reminded us of a pancake house type restaurant.

A last-minute (2 days in advance) reservation for Valentine's Day to a new-to-us restaurant was most fortunate. It was terrific!! We both ordered the special, that came with a delicious salad of baby greens and fresh berries. The service was great, the food delicious and plentiful. We'll definitely go back again.

How a "grill" can serve a NY Steak that is: 1) not actually a NY cut of meat; 2) folded over on the end to get the intended thickness; and 3) still not manage to get the grill temperature right... Well, that would be the Willamette Valley Grill in a nutshell. Oh, but don't bother complaining... They simply won't care! I am truly surprised that this establishment is on OpenTable... If I could vote for them to be removed, I would happily do so. The establishment is more of a tavern than a restaurant... I should have gone to the Newport Grill around the corner!!!

We had the thanksgiving day brunch and were very disappointed, however this experience was probably not representative of the regular service at the restaurant. They held the brunch in one of the hotel conference rooms and while there was a large selection of meats and desserts, there were very few additional hot dishes. They had stuffing which I did not try because it looked like a waste of calories and mashed potatoes (which were good) but it would have been nice to have a hot vegetable, even just some green beans or corn would have been nice. They did have a salad and vegetable tray with dressing. Mostly I was disappointing because I thought the meal would be in the restaurant and for $30 per person I would have like a little more ambiance. The food that they did have was okay, but nothing spectacular. Also do not put scented candles on dinner tables please.

Excellent food. Poor timing, meal came 2 minutes after the salad. Basically sitting in the bar and not a real dining area. The area formerly used as the dining area appeared to be undergoing work. Hope so. I'm not sure we'd put up with the unprofessional service and ambiance for the admittedly excellent food. High praise for the halibut fish and chips and a perfectly prepared rib eye.
