Conceived by a Mulberry street local that was motivated to push the boundaries of a historic block that is in search of its reinvention. Gelso & Grand is situated at the iconic corner of Mulberry & Grand Street. The inviting and informal seating plan of the indoor, outdoor and private dining room boasts the marriage of modern and classic New York dining. We take pride in everything we do. We make all pastas in house, we use a wood fired brick oven for our pizzas. We are an upscale-casual restaurant serving modern Italian fare.

Nice restaurant, with great food. Couple of complaints, they wanted to keep taking things off the table when we were still eating which caused many interruptions in our conversation. Was very annoying. We went on one of the hottest days, and it was very warm in there and very close quarters.

Despite a mix up that caused to wait awhile past our reservation, we had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent - great handmade pasta and a more modern take on Italian than the traditional 5 courses. I had the truffle paccherini and was very satisfied as were the others in my group.

One of the worst pizzas we’ve ever had. The dough, the choice and amount of ingredients — everything was really bad. The pizza was dry. I hope they improve because the ambiance is nice.

Reasonably priced located on the streets of Little Italy and a great selection to choose from. The cheese and meat platter before the meal was to die for! Very comfortable for the family or friends that brought me back to the day of making meatballs and homemade sauce on Sunday with my grandmother as a kid in NYC.
