We had the platter and it did not disappoint! Even the sweet potato hush puppies were delicious. We had Brian and he was attentive, answered our questions and gave recommendations. We came back the next night and had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and it was delicious!

Our server Julia was absolutely amazing and on top of things the whole time. The cobb salad and catfish nuggets were delicious. The Mac Daddy Smokehouse combo was more than filling. The biscuits are light and fluffy and the sweet potato fritters were the star of the show. The signature smoked old fashions were good, strong and refreshing. The only disappointment were the red beans and rice. While the beans were tasty, the rice was waaayyyyy over cooked. Overall still a great experience and we shall return.

Had Ruth as our waitress. She was wonderful…attentive, engaging, very friendly and always smiling. The food and atmosphere was great. Was our second time there in three days and was a very enjoyable experience.

The fried green tomatoes came out cold. The fried okra was swimming in grease cold and over fried. Chicken and dumplings were swimming in thin liquid. Not thick and harry with maybe 2 small spoons of chicken in it. Sad for a resort restaurant

We made a reservation here because we had a party of 6 and our plans for a fine dining option fell through. Our reservation was at 6 but we got there about 29 min early and they sat us right away. I mentioned on the open table reservation it was for a birthday, but no one at the restaurant ever asked about it (idk if the restaurant gets that info so I didn't let that impact my rating). We ordered drinks and appetizers right away. The Sweet Tea tasted like pure sugar water l. I love a good southern sweet tea but this was too sweet to chole down. Our two apps come and and I immediately notice a hair in one. I mentioned it to the server and he apologized then brought us a new one. Entrees come out and one of them was incorrect. Both dishes with fish (the fried catfish/human hair starter, and the salmon entree) had several bones in them. Again, we had a party of 6 so when the check came and the server mentioned something about the tip being included or pressing 0 we were a little confused, annoyed, and honestly just ready to go. We adjusted the tip to $40 and submitted it, only to realize gratuity was added and the editable tip was additional. So, we accidentally tipped just over $80 for our subpar meal. That being said, the pork plattwr was great and my husband's spicy pickle marg was probably the best I've ever had.
