Food isn’t just our business, it’s our life. Born with a generational love of food, I grew up bussing tables and hanging around the kitchen of my grandmother’s soul food restaurant. And you don’t spend your childhood working in an authentic soul food hot spot without learning a thing or two. Today, my recipes are a product of the downhome cooking I was raised with, made from scratch with wholesome, real ingredients.

From other diners' reviews, I didn't expect it to be a quiet atmosphere, but I expected to be able to hear at least the person I was sitting next to. That was not the case. We arrived at the reservation time, but chaos ensued at the front as the manager and hostess argued over where to seat people and how the reservations were organized. We were seated about 20 minutes later, despite there being multiple open tables, and it was about half-full. The music was too loud to hear anyone, including the waitress. I had the vegan all-American - the only thing vegan available as they didn't have the menu online, but a much more limited menu - all of that would have been fine had the food been edible. I got - no joke - TWENTY THREE strips of oily weird bacon with my rubbery eggs and unedible toast. I've been vegan for 15 years, so I know not to expect a ton if it's not a vegan restaurant but they really shouldn't even have this on the menu. My dining partner had the Huevos Rancheros and that was also not edible, nor was it as advertised - no beans, weird tortillas - 1 flour, 1 corn, no real sauce, etc. I really wanted to like this place since it was rated as one of the TOP places in Phx for brunch. They also didn't have anything but what tasted like 3 day old black coffee - not really what was expected for a top brunch place. The one bright spot was the staff - the hostess was super friendly when she sat us and the waitress was super. Both clearly great at their jobs - they just didn't have a lot to work with on Sunday.

If you’re looking for loud music and people shouting to hear each other, you’ve found the place. It’s definitely not a quiet brunch spot, so be ready for a lively atmosphere. I ordered the French toast with bananas foster, which had great potential. It would have been fantastic if the bananas had been ripe. On the flip side, the Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent, crispy, flavorful, and a definite highlight. Overall, it was a good experience. A bit too loud for my taste, but the food (mostly) made up for it.

We had a fantastic time at Brunch & Sip! The atmosphere was beautiful stylish, welcoming, and full of good vibes. Our waitress, Sara, was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. The food and drinks were just as impressive as the ambiance. Highly recommend for a relaxed, upscale brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

Food was amazing, shrimps and grits were savory. I also had lamb chops with their dusse glaze on the sweater side, a lot more fat on the chops. Drinks 10/10 Black girl magic was a hit.

I had a great time at the original location, so I was excited to check out the new one—and it definitely has a fun, stylish vibe. The space is super cute! The only downside was the music being so loud that it made it hard to talk with our server or the people at our table. Aside from that, the food and drinks were absolutely 10/10.
