Loved the overall ambiance as we love swanky Bars, we first went to Varley, the Bar was great but the music was to loud, we moved over to Ivy and had the same issue with the indoor Bar. They offered us outdoor at the Bar and we loved it. Jake, the Bartender, took great care of us, the Food was great (lots of slightly different tasty items) and the outdoor ambiance was great, well designed and yet casual.

Not a huge fan. Made a reservation for outside patio but on arrival we’re told there was no room. More of a bar than a restaurant. No explanation of dishes on arrival and one had fried oysters sitting on beds of salt (which didn’t look like salt) but after taking a huge bite we figured it out fast! Yuch! Good thing there was lots of water on the table. Ladies washroom door opens right into the restaurant so every time someone goes in/out you can see right in. Bad design and could use a few things on the walls to make it more interesting. Likely won’t be back.

We were new to Salt Lake City, and were worried the local eats wouldn't live up to expectations. I can say that Ivy & Varley blew those worries out of the water. The food was excellent, and the service was stellar. Very friendly and punctual, even though it was busy. I highly recommend the Cashew Kimchi Bowl. I will definitely come again, and will recommend the place to others!

Great food and menu selection. We had a large group that gathered for lunch and we were all happy with the menu and our choices. Staff were friendly and gave great service. The Roasted Beet Hummus and Lavender Goat Cheese were really good! Melissa
