Just like the bohemian travelers who inspired our name, Gypsy Kitchen’s alluring flavors aren’t bound by borders. Instead, our chefs go wherever the inspiration takes them, crafting deeply creative dishes that transport you to uncharted places around the Mediterranean and beyond. A menu designed to taste and share gives guests the freedom to explore the menu at their own pace, connecting over seductive flavors, festive craft cocktails and curated regional wines.

The alluring interior matches the menu, with welcoming dining spaces that foster connections and spark conversation. As usual the food at Gypsy Kitchen was very good, the space is lovely, but the service remains sub par. The hostess seemed totally oblivious that she is in the client service business and completely lacked basic politeness. No hello, no welcome, no please or thank you. Our presence seemed like an imposition to her. And when the waiter made an error in closing the bill on my credit card, instead of apologizing and explaining the mistake, she went straight to ask to see the credit card charges on my phone. Come on.

I will get this place five stars. I came on a busy Friday night and even thought they were jammed back my waitress was attentive to my party. The food came in a fast, timely manner. I got a lemon drop martini and also the hummus with lamb. Will be returning soon.

Ya know.... EVERYTHING was great. The bartender was amazing (read: excellent drinks), the food was tasty and innovative, and the service was great. Highlights include the Last Word and NY Minute cocktails; lamb hummus; and the Spanish Benedict. Just when I thought the Mediterranean scene in DC had been overdone, I (finally!) what to Gypsy Kitchen. Will def go again.

The food was delicious and the drinks were unique. The pork belly was my favorite, so tender and well flavored. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their small plates!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with great flavors and quality that truly stood out. The prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality of the dishes. The service was fantastic—our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, even making space for our stroller without any hassle. Overall, it was a great dining experience with amazing food, fair pricing, and exceptional service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable place to eat!

For such a neat-looking menu, and as expensive as everything was, I was very surprised by how under-seasoned most of the small plates were (croquettas, zeytoon, papatas bravas). The pork belly was okay, but the cuts were inconsistent (either fully fat, or super dry/lean), the mushrooms al ajillo were okay, but there was hardly any garlic. Kaftas were okay, but super charred (way more than necessary) and a bit under seasoned as well. Service was very good though.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience! We got five small plates for three of us to share and it was a perfect amount of food. Our waiter was excellent, and everything tasted amazing. We’ll be back!

We were warmly greeted and sat at our table right away. Then were presented with 2 glasses of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. Dillion was are server and was so helpful with the menu. We enjoyed a cheese plate, crispy cauliflower, hummus nil lahme and flan. Plenty of food for 2 to share. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent! Thank you and we will be back!
