Le Virtu has amazing food, fresh, flavorful and soothing to the soul. Wait staff is proficient on menu options as well as wines to pair. I've dined at Le Virtu many times, traveling over an hour, as it is well worth the trip.

We came as we had seen Marcus Samuelsson feature the restaurant on his PBS show. My husband is from Abruzze so he was thrilled. Meredith was our Server and was very professional. We had calamari and pasta dishes that were absolutely divine. Overall a lovely experience.

The pasta practically melts in your mouth. The burrata small plate is fabulous and perfect for 2 to share. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating and we loved our busboy!

Been meaning to go to this place for a while now and we were not disappointed! Service was impeccable. When ordering some starters I casually said “we’d like to share the olives and a salad” the waiter intuited that we were a couple (we were) and the expediter came out with separate portions of our 2 appetizers, our 2 entree and our 2 desserts without mentioning it. It’s those little details that make customers come back. The food was amazing! The duck ragu was surprisingly light and the braised lamb melts in your mouth, but the house-made chocolate and pistachio gelato stole the show! Interesting wine list with some unusual wines from Calabria that we hadn’t tried before and very reasonable pricing, Noise level was lively as one would expect for Saturday at 8pm but the dining area indoors has acoustic absorbing panels on the ceiling - something I wish more restaurants in South Philly/Center City area would do. Overall Le Virtu is well run by a pro in the restaurant industry who has thought out every detail. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for a really good dining venue for a family celebration. Le Virtu did not disappoint. The waiter was pleasant and helpful, he made a recommendation for wine that was one of the best wines we ever had. All of our food was excellent as well as the dessert. I would frequent Le Virtu if I lived in the area.

Le Virtu is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. The food is amazing, the service is above and beyond (shout out to Chris especially), and the experience overall always transports me right to Italy- with time to really savor and enjoy amazing food and drinks without feeling rushed. If I could give Le Virtu more than 5 stars, I would.

The pasta (in particular the taccozelle), the branzino, and the pistachio gelato were truly exceptional. I was blown away, and so was another person at my table who used to live in Florence. This place lives up to its reputation.
