Everything that we had at Little Goat was delicious. The problem was everything came out just warm. Nothing was piping hot, steaming, even hot. On a cool, fall night in Chicago I want my sloppy joe (or los drowned Sammie) hot to warm me up. We also had the Smokey fries and cheese grits as sides. Finished the meal with the one twisted sundae, which was amazing though some more brownie would have been nice. I’d go back and here’s hoping they serve up hot food!
Nice atmosphere. The food was awesome. Loved everything we ordered.
Nine family members, including 3 children, met for brunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We expected it to be loud and crowded on a Saturday morning, and it was. We waited over 15 minutes for our reserved table because another party continued to sit after finishing. When we finally got another table, the complimentary cinnamon rolls were appreciated, especially by the kids. The service was gracious although food didn’t all come out together. The verdict on the food was good, but not outstanding. I would agree with comments that this is a good place for a large group with varied tastes and for children, because the menu offers something for everyone. Otherwise, it’s a bit too hectic for my tastes.
Loved our food here I had the braised beef sandwich. What a winner. Husband likes the corn beef hash. We also had the goat milk latte and the chocolate. All good!
The staff was terrific and the food was interesting. It was so unbelievably loud that we could not carry on a conversation. My ears were ringing when I left!
Great food and awesome service. Husband said the bahn mi style burger was in the top 3 best burgers he’s ever had!
One of the best restaurant in Chicago that you must try. The cinnamon bun was amazing considering I don't like them a lot but boy this one changed my mind. While for the main dish I had the "Girl went to China...something like that and it was mind blowing how good it was, not too spicy nor sweet or sour but just the perfect umami taste. Also, I'm not from Chicago.
Absolutely the best service... great timing (not too much attention, not too little), and super friendly staff. They have an awesome roof top for events, a diner with all the comfort food in huge portions, and a bakery/coffee shop for quick hangs. This is one my all time favorite spots.
Make reservation so you are not turn away....you might get at a table when entering but better is to make reservation on Open Table
Diner food with a twist. Delicious and satisfying. Super friendly service.
Loved this place, amazing food and super friendly staff!
Little Goat is always a favorite. This was our first time in a while and it blew us away again. Can’t wait to return.
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Little Goat! We had been at the Adler Planetarium with our college age niece, and wanted to have some dinner. One of my other nieces really loves this restaurant so we made the reservation. Our server was fun, knowledgeable, and unobtrusive. The food was fantastic! Such different combinations and flavors. I used our server's recommendation and got the Port Belly pancake, as did my niece and we loved it. My husband had the noodles with shrimp bowl, and he cleaned the bowl. For dessert we had the sweet potato ice cream with miso whipped cream - sounds weird right? It was to DIE FOR. Can't wait to come back again!! Parking is pretty easy, neighborhood is nice. Cozy, casual place. Loved it.
the grilled cheese was all tapenade and had no actual cheese on it... pretty disappointing, but everyone else liked their food.
Awesome restaurant! The food was unbelievable and the service was great!
My husband and I went for brunch on a Sunday. Food was delicious (shrimp and grits, yum), service was great. If you are an IPA fan, try the Fox and the Goat collaboration beer made with 18th St Brewery. We will be going back!
Loved our lunch there. I'm a little annoyed, however. I called to see if I could add 2 more people to my party of 4 reservation. They said the next availability would be 3 hours later. When we got there we found out our booth could seat 6 (we had a party of 4 since they told us we couldn't add). One of the friends came anyway and we were able to add him without a problem, but I wish our other friend could have joined us because we had a terrific meal otherwise.
The coffee was solid and I loved the mugs where the goats appeared as I drank. The tempura mashed potato was great. The textures of crispy and smooth were perfect. The Piggy goes to China also delicious. The cheesy grits were okay, but paled compared to the other dishes. But what was really good was the beef. I can't remember what the name was (my friends ordered it) but when I took a bite I just cussed out loud it was so good. I'll upload the photo since I can't remember the name.
Little Goat always delivers. Especially good for big groups if you reserve ahead! Great gluten free options, especially their nachos and pancakes!
Service wasn’t great
Food was great, but our server was a little rude
The senior bartender is the best. Personable and a reason to return
Great find! The waitress was so informative and nice. Food was fantastic. Will definitely go back and recommend.👍
Get the crab dip and pork belly fries! The service was great, my waitress made sure everything flowed smoothly. My cocktail was amazing. This place never disappoints.
One of our must go-to eateries when we are visiting Chicago. Food is great and creative, always good service and it's a plus is they take reservations!
Had heard great things and it didn't disappoint! Loved the diner setting and the food was fantastic! Will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend to friends!
Great food and service. I had the spiced apple pancakes and they tasted like fall. Would definitely recommend this diner.
The food and services are consistently good, and it's usually simple to get a table, particularly in the morning.
We loved this place. Great food with honest flavor.
My favorite place to go for brunch! I really recommend getting their seasonal omelets or pancakes because they are always amazing and you can always try the normal menu some other time. The apple spice pancakes are to die for! Amazing location, though you’ll probably need a reservation because they’re always packed. Also recommend their hashbrowns, they are crispy and cheesy and touch your soul.
Always a treat to have breakfast here !!! Love the creativity in the kitchen - it's a breakfast adventure & I woke up wanting more crumpets!!!
From the antique picture booth to the tasteful, locally sourced and creatively inspired cuisine - Dining at The Little Goat was a dining experience with great energy, fun decor, cool music and millennial inspired 50’s ambiance for a perfect evening out with friends. No fuss. No muss. Will come again when visiting Chicago!
Yes yes yes to die for!!!!!! Last meal ishhhhh
The fat clubbbbb omjjjjj
Great with fast, friendly service. Love the Little Goat.
Love this place, food and service are always consistently great.
The service was great, the food comforting and the portions very generous. It was our anniversary and we were made to feel quite special. Thank you for that!
Food was delish, getting servers attention was a little tough
I got the kabob and it was very good! I ate every bite. My friend got the shrimp bowl and she absolutely loved it. Service could be a bit better. But, not awful. Food makes up for it.
Family of four with two young kids - everyone had delicious options for a meal. My husband got the Goat Almighty sandwich (tower of meat that stands about 18” high!). He said the combination of everything (which you have to eat with a knife and fork) was amazing.
great food. Service was extremely accommodating. Toddler had food allergy and service went out of her way to ensure food was customized.
