They do not validate valet parking as they state. Or rather, they only give you a discount. My elderly relative was horrified to learn that parking was $45 but with validation they would only charge her $12. I had sent her the opentable reservation showing that they validate parking. This is so misleading. Absolutely no one would think that that statement meant they just made it cheaper. She asked the hostess to correct this and was refused. You really should correct this on your opentable reservations. Also, even though the restaurant was fairly empty I was baffled why they sat us right beside the private room with a party going on. It was so noisy! There were so many other empty tables, none of which were filled when we left. Sadly, though the server was very nice, she needs far more training. I asked her what the blend was on a "malbec blend" I was interested in. She said "what do you mean?" I explained that I meant what were the grapes beside the malbec grapes? She responded that the other grapes were "light and dark grapes," like that is a thing. After trying to make sense of that, I finally said, no, I mean what grape varietals were blended with malbec. She said "that's a good question." She did then finally go ask the bartender. It's pitiful that a server doesn't know what a grape blend is. She then told me the answer, and I selected a straight malbec. Only after I started drinking it did she come back around and ask how it was, informing me that she had "made an executive decision" and changed the malbec she gave me. Goodness. Not what you expect for a restaurant of this caliber. The food was fair - the salads were excellent, but the paella was not very flavorful. Certainly not worth the money. Overall, a huge disappointment and that's a bummer as I used to love this place. I expect the expensive parking, overpriced food, and poor service is why this once hopping restaurant was fairly empty.

My husband and I came to MICO for a nice, romantic dinner to celebrate his birthday and it was everything We hoped it would be — the ambience was absolutely beautiful/modern, warm, cozy but the noise level was moderate enough where we didn’t feel stuffy and too fancy. We ordered the octopus appetizer and the Serrano ham and Burrata salad to share the portion size was decent for the price of the taste was exquisite. My husband ordered the paella with chicken and shrimp, and was pleasantly surprised by the presentation quite different from your typical paella with Arborio rice but it was delicious and proportionate. I ordered the 8oz. fillet of beef (medium temperature) and it came out perfect with a requested side of crispy brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes with truffle butter, that I have to say were so incredibly tasty. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and will be dining again in future.

The setting and artwork on the walls is beautiful. Service was great…even though our server forgot my wine and it was nearing the end of my meal, she poured it for me anyway and removed it from the bill. However, both my son’s appetizer and both of our steaks were way too over-salted. We told the server and she said another patron had complained about the mashed potatoes being over-salted as well, so she was going to share that with the kitchen. If they just watch their seasonings, they could earn 5 stars across the board. I will be sure to try them again in the future.

The food is outstanding but I would skip the cocktails as they are just average. Highly recommend the octopus appetizer and the truffle mushroom side. Also, they used to have a complimentary valet, but have changed their policy and charge you for parking now.

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Grand Bohemian while my Mom was in town. We selected the Grand Bohemian because we Iove the aesthetics of the hotel, but MICO was a factor in our decision as well. We love seafood and when looking at the menu online we were intrigued. The restaurant itself looks gorgeous and is somewhat split into two areas. One area is closer to the bar and caters to those having drinks and appetizers and the other area caters to those that would like a fine dining experience. From beginning to end we were impressed by the food and the overall experience. We ordered several appetizers including the grilled squid, ceviche, and dip trio. Everything tasted familiar but unique ate the same time. We had grilled squid before but not like the one at MICO. We had ceviche before but not like the one at MICO. We were starting to fell full from the appetizers so we selected the branzino to share. Even if we had scaled back the appetizers the branzino would have still been a shareable entree. It’s an entire grilled fish with veggies and potatoes and it was cooked perfectly. I can’t overstate how happy we are to have found this restaurant. It’ll be a date night option for my wife and me going forward and I hope you have a great experience as well!

The food was absolutely Aaahhh-MAZING! I had the scallops and pork belly. OMG! Those were the best scallops I’ve ever eaten. Customer service was great. I highly recommend dining at Mico’s when you’re in town.

Went for a birthday and had a magnificent time. Our server was Ashley Brown and she provided amazing service. Each and every recommendation was a hit, from the drinks to the entree to the dessert. The chef complements were delicious. I got the catch of the day and the fish was amazing. My partner got a steak and it was perfectly temped. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I would recommend bringing a jacket as it was a touch chilly in there. Would recommend !!

The food was terrible. We had the crab tamale, that was fried not steamed, the filet was very salty. The lobster tail was TINY! I should of asked how many oz it was. For $50 add on it was the size of a jumbo shrimp. We had the paella which was good. Overall go for drinks! Beautiful place, but unfortunately for $400 not work it at all.

What a wonderful dining experience. Elegant decor and ample room between tables. Exquisite art all though the dining room. From the wine tasting we had in the afternoon to our anniversary dinner the same evening, the service (Maha was our server) was outstanding. My wife had catch of the day (a flounder) and I had a filet mignon. Maha recommended a marvelous Malbec from Argentina which paired perfectly with my steak.

Terrific meal at Mico to kick off an a long weekend in Charlotte. Great meals (salmon, pasta), and the bartender made a terrific sidecar - an easy drink to prepare poorly. Ambiance/vibe was muted on a weekday - we were dressed up more than most but did not feel out of place. Thanks to the terrific hostess - we did not get her name - and to our server, Maya. This was not our first visit, but Mico nails it every time. We will definitely return.

I went during restaurant weekend. I love the decor and the ambience. There is outdoor seating but I sat inside which was great. Service was good I had the mico cocktail which was really good. Ceasar salad, Carolina white shrimp was delicious. Will go back again

Kallie provided exceptional service. The food was presented beautifully, and it was tasty. There was a guitarist who was playing, and it added to the ambience.

Purchased the jazz in the garden experience and was sadly disappointed. Bought 2 tickets upon arrival was told there weren't any tables available only standing room or individual bar stools that I could take to the lawn myself. I like the idea of this event but the execution was poor. Who ever hired the band needs to do better. I don't know what they consider Jazz music to be but this was not it. The stand alone bar and ability to order food was the only perk. I'm a huge music lover... I was not impressed with the music choice.

Our server, Juan, was wonderful, friendly and very helpful on selecting wines and answering questions about the menu. Food was fantastic and whole experience was the best.
