Excellent food , quality, and service . Understated decor but that didn’t matter to me . Great wine selection and dessert was unique and delicious . Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Overall, I really like this place for the amazing food and location. I live in SOMA so I love having a great dim sum/Chinese food restaurant in my local neighborhood. I would have given this place a 5 star overall except for the price...not cheap. For example, their fried rice is wonderful but is it worth $30? Again, I'm going back b/c the food is top quality and it's my favorite neighborhood joint but don't be surprised with the sticker shock.

Disappointed in the food. Shrimp dumplings were so salty and oily. I wasn't a fan of the skin either. The shrimps in shrimp rice roll were huge (in a good way) but unfortunately overly salty. The rice roll (skin) itself was thin and felt out of proportion given the size of the shrimps. Both dishes are usually my must haves at dim sum places, but unfortunately they were huge let downs here that I couldn't finish them. Service was nice nonetheless.

The best Dim Sum I have ever enjoyed. A la Carte selections prepared and cooked as ordered from a voluminous menu. Hot Dim Sum delivered by an extremely professional Team. HK Lounge Bistro is temporarily surrounded by construction scaffolding and blockaded sidewalks. The improvements will soon come to fruition but do not let the current conditions preclude you from trying this special place. Given the small +/- 30 seat capacity, reservations are required.

This place is next level exquisite dim sum. Delicious doesn’t come close to describing how good the food is. And service was top notch too! We will be back!

Freshest and Highest Quality Dim Sum and Chinese Cuisine in SF! All of the Dim Sum are FABULOUS (e.g. Shui Mai, Xiao long bao, Shrimp Rice Rolls, Turnip Cake, Durian bun, etc.) Waiters are smart and quick to anticipate the needs of Customers, sometimes without being asked! Only wish the dining room was larger!!!
