Mussels were steamed perfectly but the crab dip was all cream cheese. French onion soup was so-so. Our waitress tried to shotgun our dinner orders to the point we had to ask her to send our food back to the kitchen. Also, coffee was served tepid and old. But our waitress had the good grace to take it off our tab without having to ask. Staff also did not appear to be trained on their considerable beer selections. I found this odd for a Belgian style restaurant. Overall experience was okay but not great.

The Thai mussels were excellent, but you have to love spicy. We had margarita flatbread also, which was terrific. Others in our party had the Hamburger, which they said was perfect. This is a great place for a casual dinner with friends. If you are into beer, they have hundreds of choices.

Disappointed. I indicated that it was my husband’s birthday when I made the reservations and then after a while we ordered deserts and indicated it was his birthday. When the desserts came there was NO candle. I asked the person who brought it how come there was no candle and he either didn’t know anything about it or didn’t care. The waiter was very nice and polite but it did not extend to the service. He came constantly to get our order as soon as we sat down but once we had the order getting water refilled, clearing the shell buckets were not priorities. Most disappointing was the candle.

Waited over 15 min w no service. When I flagged someone and asked for our waiter, she came. No smile. No greeting. No Happy Valentine's Day to my date. First sentence she said was "what order can I put in for you". Really!! Flagged the manager and asked to have my wait staff changed. Replacement was v nice and courteous. There are too many choices for good food. Go someplace else.

This was my first of what will be many visits to Mussel Bar & Grille. I was impressed with the beer selection both for bottles and draft beers. The food menu provided a great deal of variety of options. The bar staff was amazing and was even knowledgeable enough to help me select the best drink to match what I was in the mood for. As my partner and I arrived before our reservations, we managed to catch the last 30 minutes of Happy Hour. The Oysters on a half shell were to die for. We ordered a second batch before Happy Hour ended! Our server was quite friendly and willing to give us time with our friends to talk and catch up before we were ready to place our appetizer and dinner orders. I highly recommend the grilled calamaris with chorizo. We will be going back on a regular basis. Also, they have an oyster festival twice a year. We also plan on attending that event as well!!!

We have been to Mussel Bar several times but this time the service was verrrryyyy slow and we had to ask for bread and had to ask the waitress if there were any specials. Hoping this was a fluke and doesn't mean the service is going downhill!!

We love this restaurant. The calamari appetizer is fantastic, and the mussels are a feast. I want to sop up every drop with the bread. And the butter cake -- OMG. We'll keep coming back!

We were at the Mussel Bar and Grille for an early lunch and sat at a booth on the side of the bar. It was quiet at this time of day. The service was attentive and the food was good. The choices of beer were the most varied I had ever seen in one place. Although it was mostly bottled beer, the draught choices were fewer but very good also. It was our initial visit, but it will not be our last.

Terrific place for comfort food. Very diverse offerings. In addition to the mussels the flatbreads and salmon burger are outstanding. A bit noisy but quieter in booths near the back.

Service is extremely slow - water glasses sit empty for most of the meal, one entree pot ordered between two people came out after a long wait, forgot to bring bread even after being asked. The server made sure to say that the salad we ordered came with X and Y ingredients but those ingredients weren’t actually in the salad that was brought to the table. Very odd. Good mussels and frites but a strange dining experience.

Mussel Bar is our “go to” restaurant on Saturday night. We love the food and the service. The beer selection is amazing! We try new beers each week from around the world and from local breweries. When we book on Open Table and request a booth, the host works hard to accommodate us.

The food is great - the noise is deafening. You go to a restaurant with friends to hear them talk, and at this place you should learn sign language instead. While the industrial vibes are trendy right now, they can make dining out a pretty miserable experience. Food and service are great - if you can read lips.

Not all dishes created equal. The grilled squid had an odd flavor, and seemed less than fresh. The mussels with mushrooms and bacon was excellent. The mushroom pizza was very nice as well, although cheese was not applied in a uniform manner so that some slices had barely any cheese, while one slice was overloaded with cheese.

MB&G flooring at the table were sitting was quite dirty, it as obivous a family with children were the previous guests, food, crayons and napkins were under the table, as well as, all over the floor. I asked the waiter to clean the mess, but he was to busy to do so.
