Emerson's is an intimate restaurant and bar with good vibes, located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Blending the charm of a European café with a cozy, modern ambiance—complete with a welcoming fireplace—it's a warm escape in the vibrant Market Square area. Our full dinner menu pairs with a curated selection of wines and craft cocktails, perfect for casual nights or special occasions.

We're on the second floor, up one flight of stairs. Elevator access is available upon request. Our entrance is just left of The Aperitivo Club.

If you can’t find a reservation or are booking for a party of 8+, please email info@marketstreetgrocery.com.

Please note that reservations are held for a 15-minute grace period. If you anticipate being late, we appreciate a quick call so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Drinks were mediocre, half the table liked & half the table felt they were lacking flavor (tasted watered down). Apps were good, yet our meals were ok. Nothing to write home about. While we were in no rush, our full experience there was almost 2.5 hours, it took some time and they weren’t even that busy.

Perfect place for a Saturday night out. The space is beautifully staged, and the food and drinks are well above average! From appetizers to the perfect Filet, everything is must try! Highly recommend.

Wonderful overall. Only issue was food all came out at oncee (appetizer, salads and then 5 min later main dish) and the tables are too small to put it all on.

Loved our first experience at Emerson's! Great food and drinks and the staff were great. We will be back for sure!

This is my go-to place in Downtown, Pittsburgh. The food is excellent and never disappoints. Creative cocktails start the evening off right, while fancy apps and the impressive service are definitely highlights. Get the meatballs, grilled Caesar, and burrata. Pass on the mussels- a huge portion, delicious broth, but the meat in the mussels are not the tastiest. All entrees are delicately fun. I am a huge fan of Emerson’s and my guests ALL want to go back for another excellent dining experience soon.

Never a bad experience! The service and food is always great. I forget our servers name, but she was fantastic!

Dinner and drinks were great! Noise level not so great. The vibe was so cool and I really wanted to love it but was so hard to hear our family and enjoy our experience. Hope to try it again and sit in the actual dining area. Our table of 5 was in between the bar and dining area and I do think that has something to do with why it was so loud.

The fillet and the salmon were phenomenal. I would not order the mussels again as they were very small with little meat in the shells. There is a nice and creative drink menu with interesting options. The noise level is high but manageable for conversations. We will definitely dine here again.

In Pittsburgh for the weekend and decided on dinner at Emerson’s on Friday night. We had the best time- the food and service was absolutely amazing (I forget the name of our server but she was a gem and super knowledgeable about the menu) and just the overall vibe of the place was really cool. Would recommend to anyone and we will be back!!
