Love love loved this cute little bistro! My friend and I went to celebrate her 30th birthday, we have both been to France. This was so reminiscent from our visits. We both went with the la restaurant week menu- we had the French onion soup, they actually made mine gluten free for me! Thank you! It was sooo yummy, great depth of flavor, and delicious gooey cheese. The beef biurginon had been stewed for hours, so delicious! The desserts… wow we can’t wait to fo back. We both cried over the crepe and chocolate mousse, even the ice cream was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back for the crepes and other menu items. Amazing service, wine and food!

Omg the worst experience of dining I’ve ever experienced. We were a party of 4 there was one other table of 4. No one else. We waited 45 minutes for our brunch. My poached eggs were still floating in water! The other’s dishes were just as bad. Our bill $165! For 4 entrees One cider, one glass of house sparkling, one orange juice, and a bottle of water. Once the food arrived IF we could have eaten it at all we had to leave after a taste. Never was I so ready to leave a tasteless horribly prepared meal.

Loved discovering this cute restaurant! Delicious food and amazing service. The BEST iced tea I've had in a while! Real tea, none of that chemical sweet stuff they serve you at other places. Highly recommend!

This was one of the worst meals I have ever had, and I adore French food! First, there was a HUGE shard of chicken bone in my galette, which immediately killed my ability to eat any more of it. Second, everything was flavorless—from the French onion soup to the galette. The chocolate mousse was grainy, though the flavor was ok. And rather than giving any sort of discount for the chicken bone in the galette, the owner (? Or maybe manager?) gave us glasses of port without asking if we wanted them. She did, to her credit, ask if I wanted anything else, but after the soup was bland, the galette was bland, the beef bourguignon was bland, and the chicken bone nearly choked me, I did not trust the kitchen to produce anything if feel safe or interested in eating. I would give this experience zero stars if possible. The only highlight was the busboy, who was friendly and attentive.

I think they have not been open for long but the waiter was very inexperienced. Though the restaurant was quite empty the service was very inattentive . After specifying how I preferred a medium rare salmon, the dish was prepared well done. i would try this place again but after some time has passed so they can hone their skills.

We needed a place close to the Odyssey Theatre for brunch this past Sunday, as we were attending a 2:00 pm matinee. The service was amazing, the food to die for and the best crepes I have ever had! Just as good as the crepes in Paris on our last visit there! We will be back soon…and over and over and over! : )) We have already shared the name of La table de Sophie with all our friends! Nothing like its predecessor, I would say that dinner here is quite different than what I expected, which could be all on me of course. But I had been craving a French dinner. The reservation was for a professional dinner with guests from out of town. We arrived to a quite chilly room with the doors open and no one in the place. The waiter's English made it pretty hard to communicate, though he was very very nice. The tables and chairs are bare and hard, making the chill a bit worse. No cushions and definitely not seats you want to be in for a long time. The specials board was empty. The appetizers were five options: one was fries and two were not available. We ordered the cheese plate: two cheeses (brie and goat) and sliced grapes, that's it. And buckwheat "crackers." They have galettes so we got the vegetable. It was the same buckwheat dough wrapped around the same cheeses with perhaps five slices of zucchini in the whole thing. One got the sense that in the kitchen they were feeding the restaurant out of one bag of groceries. It was hard to get the attention of someone to pay and leave. The cocktails were fantastic. The wine list very promising. Oh, and the bakery items for breakfast and the lunch menu looked intriguing. But all combined, it seems that for now, it's a quaint bar situation and to have small bites. The entrees looked well conceived, but after an hour of sitting on hard seats and eating two types of cheese with little waitstaff attention, we decided to go get the rest of our meals elsewhere. Bummer. We lost so many French restaurants in the last five years in LA. I hope they can invest more attention to the atmosphere and menu design and thrive in time.

There aren’t any places in West Los Angeles to get genuine French galettes and crepes. The galettes are very large and varied, even vegetarian. The crepes make a wonderful dessert. Don’t pass up the apple cider from Brittany. It’s dry but the taste of apples comes through beautifully. The service is excellent and the lack of noise permits a genuine conversation. Sophie’s is highly recommended for a meal or snack out of the ordinary. We’ll certainly return.

This place reminded me of being in someone's home. I was in the mood for crepes and La Table de Sophie satisfied my craving. One of the great touches is that the owner came over and spoke to us. I'd definitely return again.

A really delightful dinner. Don’t miss the onion soup! One of the best I’ve had outside of Southern France. The only thing they are lacking is customers and I don’t know why because it’s a secret find!

The restaurant was undergoing maintenance due to some flooding issues in part of the building, but the chef and staff still honored our reservations and made us feel like valued guests. I also had an email exchange about a personal request and the restaurant was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. The outdoor seating is right on Westwood Blvd so it's a bit noisy from all the traffic, but it's covered so there's some separation from the street. I had a cheese plate, French onion soup and a Galette Forestiere, along with the Brave and Maiden cabernet. Enjoyed them all. Looking forward to coming back.

Absolutely authentic Brittany-style crepes (buckwheat gallettes) created by the owner who trained in St. Malo. Iréna speaks perfect French and English, but her server needs a little more training in English. Very nice young man, though. Boeuf Bourguignon was also very good. Dessert crepes were too sweet and didn't add anything to the experience, and we'd skip them next time. Authentic Brittany cider was perfect with the gallette.

The proprietor was very welcoming but it couldn’t make up for the worst coq au vin I have ever had. The sauce hadn’t been reduced enough and tasted like someone just dumped a glass of red wine on top of the chicken. The chicken was incredibly stringy and dry. Would not go here again

The best risotto I have ever had! It was divine. Our hostess was extremely helpful and service was excellent. The galette my partner had was superb. Can't wait until their water damage is repaired so they can expand back to full capacity. Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be returning.

First time there recently, new owner. Very enjoyable. Not busy, great service and friendly. Wonderful food, felt like being in France. Good advice on choice of food and wine, and felt very welcome. We enjoyed escargot, French onion soup, coq au vin it, and unique buckwheat crêpe which were delicious. Took owners advice on choice of champagne and Cassis, and on best wine to pair with a coq au vin. Excellent.
