   Came here for my birthday and got free birthday shots which was very kind!! The place was so cute with lights, a darker ambiance. The tacos just were very awful. And it sucks to say that :( Not good at all… there’s a taco where they say it’s a house recipe… it tasted like Taco Bell meat. Not good at all. I got the fish tacos which were lacking flavor. There was nothing good about it. I may have liked the tortilla but the grease the was running through the taco overwhelmed me. The other two tacos I had were al pastor which was served with pineapple. That is authentic but the taste of the Al pastor was not.. Their drinks are DELICIOUS. I’d come back for drinks… but definitely not the food.

   The tacos are my go to. The plates seem pretentious to me, but the tacos are definitely worth it. Also the margarita is dangerous. Delicious but dangerous.

   I enjoy eating at the restaurant. Brunch menu should have a bigger selection but overall the food is delicious. I love the fact that I can choose type of juice to go with the bottomless mimosas. Friendly staff and I enjoy the music they play.

   We had such a great time for a friend’s birthday dinner! Food was great, we ordered the salsa flight, chorizo queso, and a ton of tacos. The margs were delicious and we ordered the 10 and 20oz margs. A great place to celebrate a birthday and will be back!

   A bit disappointed with the place. Messed up a few things- mimosa they served was flat, added bacon to a dish that my friend had instructed to make vegetarian and extremely loud music (very difficult to talk to someone sitting across you). Food was ok for the price.

    Dined on Saturday night with my 2 daughters. Upon arrival, it did take quite awhile for a server to recognize us sitting down indicated we were there to dine. After that, our server was fine. As for ambience, it was okay. I did not think we were going to a sports bar so the 10 foot tv so close was a distraction. We started with the chips and salsa flights. I thought it fell a bit short, but we moved onto the pork belly bean sip and that was enjoyable. I had the grilled flank steak for my entree and it was well seasoned and delicious. Overall, Takito Street was very good and would not hesitate a return when looking for some margaritas and light bites

    The poor service ruined the experience. I have a slight food allergy and asked for the ingredient to be left off of the tacos. The server said the kitchen was too overwhelmed to customize anything. It took 25 min to get our drinks and almost an hour to get our food. The server got our order wrong and when we asked for the right items the response was “it’s going to take just as long of a wait for new items”. The food and drinks are delicious. Just be prepared to wait and do not ask to customize.

    One entree was cold & another was inedible as beef taco was fatty/grisly. No wine at all. Server was amiable but seems that party in back overwhelmed their capacity. 3 Other entrees were good/tasty so too bad negatives overshadowed these.

    Our server did not bring the appetizers we ordered. We asked several times. Finally two were brought out just as dinner was served. Two apPs were never received at our table, but charged to us on the bill. Frustrating experience. However, the food was good overall.

    The food and drinks were delicious and the service was great! My group of 4 was asked to switch tables to accommodate a large group, and the manager was very gracious and bought us a round of drinks and dessert. The place had really good vibes. I will definitely be returning as my go to Mexican restaurant.

    Best spot in Chicago for brunch! Super fun! Good food, great price! It’s always a fun experience when we’re there! Jorge is great! Everyone is great! I always bring my out of town friends here!

You might surprised to learn that oureg sized marg has 2 oz of tequila vs. 1.5 oz. the traditional recipe calls for. They don't taste strong bc they're perfectly balanced!     The suit was outstanding! Our server was very sweet and very attentive. We all had different things and each one of us said that I food was great! Being a new non-drinker it would be great to have extra choices rather than water, soda and ice tea. Like some of the great nonalcoholic beers that are out there. Non-drinkers like more options. Also the music was very loud we could barely hear each other but we got through it lol!

    Loved the ambiance and the wait staff! Guacomole had no taste and small portion for the money. The cheese taco was small and nothing much in it, while the steak taco was delicious !

    Great food, great service. Really enjoyed the margaritas (both lime and cucumber), split the queso fundido, pineapple guacamole, and various tacos (skirt steak, softshell crab, octopus, al pastor) were delicious. Ambience was nice and lively. There was also a magician that came to our table and entertained us for 10 minutes or so - was really good - usually I could take or leave a magic act, but he had a good delivery and was a good showman overall. Would love to come back to eat and drink.

    Came for Thursday night dinner with a few friends and we all had a great time! The large margaritas were half off for happy hour until 6:30 which was fantastic! Our waitress was so nice and very attentive! We had the opportunity to sample a new Mezcal and then all 4 of us were given a free mezcal margarita! The chips, guac, salsa and tacos were all fantastic! This place is a must!
