Always fun and the food is magnifico!
Pomo is always consistent. Great food ,service and ambience.
The food at Pomo is always delicious, and the ambiance is comforting and modern. The service this time was in the slower side but we will of course be back!
Funspot! Great food and service. Nice patio. Never disappointed.
Service great and food was excellent!!
Food was good. It was later so they started cleaning up - felt rushed like we should leave.
Food was awesome! Service was excellent! Great music and the ambience was perfect! Really enjoyed this restaurant. Will definitely come back!
Has been good in the past, but this time the panini's for lunch were dry and seemed like they were shorting the contents. Disappointed.
Tried to purchase gelato and the fellow behind the counter twice tried to give me the wrong change. The manager found it funny and didn’t apologize or offer any compensation. Gluten free pizza like cardboard
We were visiting Scottsdale and wanted some pizza. This was very good. Nice date atmosphere.
The food is always fantastic
It’s getting busier in the valley now that the weather is nicer which means that restaurants are getting busier too. The service at Pomo was never great but the food made up for it. Can always count on a good pizza. :) Ordered the Italian Mojito ... first one was good (not great) and not sure what happened to the second one. They did remove it from the bill. The gelato next door was excellent.... makes better sense than the mozzarella bar that was there before.
Really good food with amazing arancini. Our waiter, Tony, was outstanding. Energetic, knowledgeable and really understood how to create a great experience. He anticipated that we would want to spread things out in terms of timing and made sure that it happened. We will definitely go back and will request his table each time we do.
This restaurant is definitely birthday celebration worthy. The wait staff was friendly and fun. Food was very good, especially the tiramisu and gnocchi! Chicken parmigiana was okay. We’re visiting the wine area of Lodi because of the fires being so bad in Napa coming from Colorado. We loved the area! Had no idea there are 86 wineries in this area alone.
Have eaten there for years. Boy has it gone downhill. All our food came at once. We’re never offered any more wine. We waited for our check. Just like the place that used to be.
The antipasti tray was outstanding - great flavors! Pizza was a bit strange - great flavors but crust more like a tortilla.
The big draw here are the Pizzas. This is the only VPN pizza available (that I'm aware of) in Scottsdale. Perfect crust and most quality ingredients you'll find anywhere. Great Italian wine list.
Always delicious food with great service and ambience.
I’d have to say, Pomo is one of my very favorite restaurants. We have been loyal customers since it started at the Borgata location. Tonight though, was my first disappointment.
From the get go, the hostess didn’t know to seat my son, who arrived about 3 minutes after I did, at my table. Although, the same hostess seated us both, unfortunately at different tables, but we saw each other and that was fine then.
Our waitress, took our order and brought our pizzas immediately. I mean immediately. I know they’re fast to cook, but I’ve never had them that fast. And the surprising , disappointing thing was that neither pizza was hot. Very strange. Very disappointing.
And the waitress just served us, did not ask if we wanted anything else. As she was heading away from the table I had to call after her to ask for the hot peppers, & parm cheese.
It’s the only time it’s not been perfect. It just took me by such surprise that’s why I’m writing. It’s normally perfect. There is no other pizza we like. Any time we try another pizza restaurant, we try not to compare, but we always compare it back to Pomo and think Pomo is better.
Hopefully this is a one off. I’m certain it is, as it’s always been consistent.
Received absolutely horrible service and the food was just moderate to put it nicely. For what the food was, the price seemed appropriate.
Pomo either needs to hire AND keep staff that knows how to prepare a pizza without burning it, or get a conveyor oven and compete with Dominos. I have lost count of how many burnt black pizzas I have sent back to the kitchen. I'm about done trying to stay loyal.
Pomo is authentic Italian! Pizzas from the hot brick oven are the best! Tastes like the pizza I had in Venice!
We arrived on time and after much debate between two greeters at the front desk we were led to an outside table.....we asked our greeter if we could be seated inside where there were many empty tables.....our greeter returned to the front desk and after another lengthy debate with her associate she returned to our party and in quite a sullen manner said that we could only have one particular table. We happily accepted the table on offer and sat down. Not a great start to our night out.
Our server was prompt but brisk......we ordered some wine and settled down to enjoy it.
When our server returned we ordered three pizzas and a pasta dish without cheese. The pizzas were good but the pasta was returned because it was covered in CHEESE!
The server was apologetic and removed the pasta dish..........it came back without the cheese but just as the rest of our party were finishing their pizzas. Not an idea situation.
The pasta was more than ‘a la dente’ It was raw!
We had a very underwhelming experience at Pomo Cucina and have no plans to return there.
Great authentic pizzas and delicious housemade gelato.
Terrible hostess who despite our open table reservation insisted the only table we could have was outside on the patio. Will not be returning.
Pasta dish was just okay...Loved my husband’s lasagna and the bruschetta. However, it was a compete turnoff when I had to ask for cheese and waitress slapped down a shaker of processed parm. Expected freshly grated Italian cheese from such a nice restaurant. Also, bread was not included.
WE meet folks here a lot and really enjoy the place.
We had dinner st Pomo on Sat night. It was packed!! Jessica was our waitress and she did an amazing job of getting our food out and with a smile!! Great waitress!
We tried Pomo Cucina on a whim for a birthday celebration. My entire family is vegan and originally came for the vegan pizza offerings. Not only was the waitress extremely helpful in helping us amend menu items, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that all of their homemade pasta was dairy-free and that most pizzas could be made vegan. We tried the arrabiata sauce and Pomo pizza. Both were incredible. In fact, we are going back again this week to try more menu items.
Although both couples were celebrating our anniversarie’s (49th & above) no special acknowledgement was made, even regarding seating, which was on the entrance aisle. We didn’t ask for special treatment, even tho it was noted on Open Table. We’ll still return for another fun evening!
Amazing pizza and service!
We usually can honestly rate Pomo 5 star on all counts, but this visit proved lacking in the food area in particular. The Kale/Caesar salad have almost no kale and was very small portion (unlike other visits) and the eggplant pizza had a very small portion of vegetables that were listed on the menu on it. That said, the wine bottle special was fabulous. The other meal was excellent as usual. The patio was quite wet from the misters, but once they opened the shades and allowed the humidity to escape it was better. We dined after dark so they could have been raised earlier. Our server told us that the misters must remain on at the current setting when we inquired.
I’ve been to Pomo twice in two weeks. The first time we ordered pizza and wine... it was great gelato was excellent. The service here both times was wonderful the servers are Italian speakers and engage with their customers.
But, I brought two friends for dinner on Thursday, August 30 Th.
They had bruschetta as an appetizer... there were only two pieces. had egg plant which was good. The problem is that they both did not care for the tagliatelle. These are Italian Americans. They’re in their 80s and they know their Italian food.
They both felt that there was something not right with the tagliatele bolognese. They made it known to the waitress Jessica, and also to the staff on the way out. I paid, so I didn’t make any fuss. But, for the price, we could’ve gone to a more established Italian restaurant called Veneto five minutes away. I like Pomo for pizza and gelato.
One of the best pizza places in AZ. True Italian food and the ambiance and the service is top notch.
The restaurant smelled liked a sewer upon entering. Mista Salad and Barrata pizza were unremarkable. Staff very nice and attentive. Don't need to return.
The food was okay but it was worth the trip to have dessert at Luna Gelateria afterwards!
Always Great! Tony, our server, was so upbeat and fabulous!! He really made the experience more than expected. He was conversational and funny, but not overbearing. And the food is consistently amazing and delicious! Love Pomo......!
First time there and very, very impressed! Food excellent! Service excellent! They paid attention to my wanting a more quiet location within the restaurant due to the fact it was a business meeting!
Best tiramisu my wife I ever had. It's a must every time we visit. Some of our favorite pizza as well.
Great restaurant great food great service and ambience.
