   I have had brunch at the Admiral before and was excited to return with friends. They are always very kind and welcoming--we were running a little late and they even reached out to see if we needed more time to arrive. We had a bigger party (12 people) so we didn't expect extremely fast service, but I will say there were times we were forgotten for extended periods. For example, it took a while to refill for bottomless mimosas on a few occasions (30+ minutes), which was unfortunate given the 2-hour limit. We also had a couple of meals come out significantly later than the rest. Our waiter was clearly doing the best they could, and I'm pretty sure an event was taking up a lot of the attention so it's somewhat understandable. Nevertheless, overall the food and music were enjoyable.

   Originally reserved an indoor table, but once arriving we switched to outside since inside was chilly and darker. The outdoor atmosphere was energetic and had music playing. The downside to outside was that the high top chairs didn’t have back support. The service was a bit slower outside, but overall it’s a great spot for a happy hour or get together with friends!

   The brunch menu has a lot of options. Options included eggs, french toast, tacos, and burgers. There are lots of good drinks. Everyone on my group was able to find something. The only thing that they did not have that I would have liked is a side of fresh fruit or a fruit and yogurt parfet.

   We probably chose a place that was way to hip for moms night out, but we were excited to try the place out and sit outdoors. It was quite pleasant until about 9pm, when the music turned up to an unbearable volume and the outdoor seating area became impossible to hear in. They didn’t have drinks that were on the menu, and the food selection is pretty terrible if you are a vegetarian. With that being said, it is a pleasant place to spend an outdoor evening, and the ambiance (of you are younger) is fun.

   Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, we had a special event for a birthday and requested something (as it says to when reserving) and nothing was done when I saw several other parties with signs for their tables. Felt as if they didn’t pay any attention to our reservation and threw it together half-assed when we showed up.

    Me and mh friend went there for brunch. The host seated us outside and we waited for 30 min for service. Finally my friend went over to get a waiter, but the waiter never came to the table. When we were leaving the table next to us told us that we had to go order inside the bar. At that point we just gave up and left. The host could have told us since the beginning about ordering inside. Bad communication and service.

    I thought the food and the service was great. We got the spicy guacamole and tacos. The only drawbacks for me were the price of the food for the quantity that you get and the noise level. It may have been because we went on a Friday night, but the music was extremely loud, making conversation difficult across the table without yelling at each other. It was also pricey for the portion sizes. I would come back, but maybe on a different day of the week or time of day when it might not be as loud.

    Our waiter was spectacular and attentive. The food was exactly what we were in the mood for. The bun on my burger was warm and fresh. The fries are spectacular. Great drinks. Nice ambience. Younger crowd but I felt comfortable.

    Dined here for a birthday dinner. Staff didn’t seem to be to concerned with that. Drinks were okay, we ordered Shirley temples virgin and dirty and they were majority syrup. The apps and food were amazing. Our server was great too! Biggest issue was where we were seated was FREEZING cold.

    Our meal was incredible- the cheesesteak egg rolls were next level and the crab fries were a great take on a local flavor. After dinner, we headed to the bar area. I didn't know this place turned up after happy hour- lots of TVs and a DJ. It was a little chilly so we didn't go to the outdoor bar and there is also a hidden room in the back with another bar and party room. All in all, a fun upscale sports pub!

    Waitress was unpleasant. Charged my friend $9 on top of her $13 espresso martini just for adding Baileys. Very loud music, you have to yell to have a conversation. Food was average.

    It was a great dining experience. Servers were very attentive and their burger and beer special was awesome. We did sit outside on the patio because the main dining area wasn’t open yet which was fine. Just note that it’s right next to a busy street so you will here a lot of the local traffic especially at 5pm when everyone is headed home. I would definitely go back.

    Terrible music, playing corny EDM club hits on a Sunday night when everyone there is clearly trying to have a calm sit-down dinner. Service took forever even though there were only three tables seated.

    The air conditioning was broken which made for a very miserable experience as soon as other patrons start coming and it got really heated up to almost intolerable levels the restaurant should limit the number of customers as I said it’s been broken for weeks

    Most of the food was excellent, but my friends fried chicken sandwich was not cooked all the way and was served partially raw. She sent her order back and got grilled chicken instead and was fine after that. Our server took about a half hour to 45 minutes to bring us our checks. We had to go to the bar to ask the bartender to go get our server. They also lost our order so we had to tell them what we got again which made us leave later than intended. This place is good if you are doing a small gathering or a date, but I would not bring a big party here.

    The service was great. The menu is a little limited, but everything my wife and I ordered was very good. I would recommend the crab dip appetizer. Expect a typical bar-restaurant, not any sort of fine dining. The Admiral is definitely fine for what it is, but know that you won't be getting an extensive menu for dinner. Also, they don't accept cash (weird, I know). But, overall, this is a great choice for a quick meal and a drink (or two or three) if you're in the Dupont Circle area.
