All was awesome. From service to food.
The mixed drinks were really proportional.
We were celebrating a birthday. We had a small issue with a large party of diners hovering around our table instead of sitting at their table, making us feel a bit claustrophobic. We requested to be moved. Within seconds we were whisked away to another dining room. The manager apologized and followed up with us several times to make sure we were comfortable. We got a whole new wait staff but they didn’t skip a beat. Our food was correct and delivered promptly. They brought a Happy Birthday dessert even though we didn’t mention it to our new wait staff. The issue was not the restaurant’s fault. It was handled discretely and efficiently. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful. We were able to take our time and enjoy a nice long visit without feeling rushed at all. We will definitely be back!
Just generally a 3. Been there twice and had the same feeling each time. Pretty place but I just can’t figure out why it doesn’t work well for me. Sorry
Our server was very inattentive and service was very slow. Very disappointing
We ate the lobster special. It was fantastic. We were treated very well and given a very quiet table.
My wife and I enjoyed our 32 anniversary dinner at your restaurant. We had the best wait staff, I recall the main waiter was Steve, (who gave us a Wisconsin connection) They all were very hospitable and friendly. The hotel (Home 2 Suites by Hilton) we stayed at recommended your restaurant on their website. Since were from out of town, we thought we would give it a try. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything. Thanks for making it a wonderful time.
The staff was great and we were treated well. Service was prompt. The food was disappointing but the desserts were fabulous. The veal parm was over cooked and the sauce was too thick. The lobster special was really lacking lobster and seafood taste, too much cream sauce.
All around good. Noise level was unbearable for a Friday night.
Only the 2nd time we went but just love the service we got. The whole staff made it a great dining experience. They even surprised us with a sample of a desert when we weren't too sure we would like it. Food is pricey especially the shrimp pasta my wife got. Just 6 shrimp and a lot of pasta for over $20. That would be the only negative though on a great night.
Everything was great, the live band was too loud for a restaurant environment. The adult beverages need improvement. The special 3 course meal was very good and we had a great time. Bailey was great.
Celebrated my sons 22nd birthday at the restaurant and we had a cozy booth for 5 in the bar area. Great evening with an attentive staff. Steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection. The bar area can be loud especially with live music. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the entertainment was good.
As always Ruffino’s is a great place to go for brunch. Special items fresh fish and a great soups and pastas. Stakes are always cooked to perfection.
The food, service and atmosphere were all great! The finishing touch is the surprise you get at the end of your meal... COTTON CANDY!! YUMMY!!
To pricey for the quality of food. Waiter was very knowledgeable.
The steak was very tender but was bland. The potatoes that were large were not cooked all the way but the smaller ones were great. Having 3 staff per table and having to ask for drinks was unacceptable. Overall the meal was good for the price. It was a pleasant evening.
The only thing that was good was the chargrilled oysters. The service was slow & apparently there was confusion over which waiter/waitress was supposed to do what so we got ignored for a while. Pretty frustrating to pay that much for a meal & it not be great!
Very attentive service. We were there for a birthday brunch, and the waitstaff was wonderful. I got the day’s special which was very good, and everyone at our table was happy.
Great! The service was amazing.
Both of our waiters were amazing. The food was definite Lee not very great, at least when I had anyway. They had an artist in side playing some hits and it was extremely loud.
The food and service was superb
As always our table request was spot on , service excellent and the food as expected, excellent.
Great food and atmosphere. It was my first time going and would recommend to my friends!
Wait staff was great!! Appetizers were good as always. My veal dish was ok but my wife’s Pork Tchoupitoulas was delicious. Overall an excellent evening.
My Beloved and I went for our 30th Anniversary. It was recommended by Our Spiritual Mother. This was a first for us and we enjoyed everything about it. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and courteous the entire time. The view was beautiful. The food was superb. I would definitely be dining there again.
Great staff, food, and atmosphere. I don’t want to forget about strong drinks-perfect
My food was good but my friends lasagne was over cooked. The drinks were great. I have eaten here before and had a much better meal.
Great staff, and excellent food.
The waiter that was responsible for drinks took at 30 minutes before he even asked us for a drink order. He walked past our table several times. The other two waitresses eventually did take of it for us, but I was unimpressed for the money I spent.
It's one of those places where everyone wants to be seen. (Rolling my eyes). Since we didn't appear famous our waiter didn't seem interested.
Appetizers and main courses were exceptional! Waiters are courteous, professional, well trained and knowledgeable of all menu items. Excellent wine list, too. Greatly exceeded our expectations - we will return soon!
I was in the service industry for half of my life and I know how stereotypes are viewed regarding expected tip. I was with my friend, two single women. Stereotypically speaking, two single women would likely tip around 10%, give or take 2%. Well, THREE times, we were ignored in favor of a man customer and two couples. This happened twice at the bar and once we were seated. Our waiter was in the MIDDLE of taking our order (had taken mine and was about to take my friend’s) when he walked AWAY from our table to see about a couple nearby. He should have told them he would have been right there or something to that affect. He didn’t even apologize. I typed 20% regardless, hoping the waiter might learn something. You shouldn’t make assumptions based on gender, race, etc and do your best to wait on everyone equally. I learned long ago, it’s not practical (or fair) to provide varying degrees of service based on tip expectations.
My wife and I chose to eat here for our 3rd wedding anniversary. The restaurant was running a 3 course for $25 special and we thought it was a good opportunity to try it out. We expected the portions to be small but were pleasantly surprised by how much food we got. The wine and cocktails we had were also superb. To top it off, they went out of their way and gave us a complimentary dessert and champagne with a personalized note on the dessert plate!! We will definitely return again and look forward to it
I have always had a great dining experience at Ruffino’s. I took a friend of mine who had never been there before. After I had bragged so many times about how great the food and service were, we were very disappointed. The food came to us barely warm and our waiter was not very personable. I have never had a bad experience at Ruffino’s until this one. how
I took my wife to Rufinno's to celebrate her birthday. The food was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the crab cheesecake and pork cheeks. We were delighted to find all the local ingredients that were used throughout the menu.
The draw is the ambiance--perhaps one of the best venues for this in Lafayette. The food is serviceable but, for the most part, not special (and not in keeping with the pricing). The Service is handled by a rotating team that is very attentive...really too attentive--they appear at the table so often as to be a mild nuisance, making conversation a challenge.
I had a ribeye with roasted potatoes both had a little to much salt, it appeared to be the kitchens own blend. I advised the waiter who in turn told the head chef. However the steak had a great taste.
Anniversary dinner. Staff was professional & courteous
Friendly & professional service and delicious food!
I Ordered 8oz filet my husband had ribeye...no taste at all. Potatos were dry. Best part of our meal was white chocolate bread pudding. Too pricey for tasteless food
Everything was fantastic, food was perfect, service was great. It was my wife and I's second time going to Ruffino's and it may now be a tradition.
