My partner and I had dinner at Pepela. We both had prosecco rose, which was really nice, and salmon which we both enjoyed.

Had dinner at Pepela, chose light summer menu items, including Pepela Salad, which was delicious. Also ordered the lamb chops which were done very well. The food was very appetizing and our server Kate was very attentive. She sat us right next to the balcony with open vaulted space. I recommend this venue for a couples dinner. I went with my wife. The walls are appointed with lots of art work. I drank Satrapezo Saperavi, which is a fabulous limited edition Georgian red wine. Never knew that Georgian wines were this good.

We came by Pepela on Sunday and were very surprised. They have real opera singers performing there. Our server Julia explained to us that they have opera night every Sunday without any additional charge for it. The place looks like private house and we were hesitate for a minute that we dressed not right for the place. We have had infused vodka (Georgians call it Chacha) and had entrees - lamb Chops (of course) I love meat:) it was marinated some special way yammi -I tried to find out how they seasoning it but got no clue:) and georgian dumplings. now I am planninand to have my birthday at Pepela.

My husband and I celebrated our 8th anniversary at Pepela! Romantic candlelight dinner for two:). Mango lobster salad was their special for that night. We loved it. Amazing tasteful paradise on a plate! Portions are so big, we took it home and it was great for the next day lunch!!! Also restaurant stuff treated us with dessert Napoleon cake. They made our little romantic dinner so special. Thank you

I went to Pepela with my date for a Friday night dinner. I have eaten Georgian food before and I was looking forward to sampling some dishes. The menu surprisingly has some non-Georgian continental items that are top notch. Semi Sweet wines are rare in NY and Pepela has a large collection from Georgia. The evening was fantastic, with live music, a vibrant ambiance and a staff willing to cater to any request. Several large tables hosted big groups which added to the energy of the place in a positive way. I will definitely be back with a big group.

We went out with 8 people and were able to get a reservation last minute. The ambiance was great but the service, although friendly, was very slow. We were a group who wanted to hang out but the length of time between getting our appetizers and entrees, even though there were no other large groups in the restaurant, was significant and slightly frustrating. Our servers were friendly and attentive.

Service very good; nice room downstairs. My "chicken and tomatoes in Georgian spices" (first item on the mains menu) was a tiny portion (3 cubes of chicken breast) in a basic fricasee. Quite underwhelming. The cheese bread appetizer, however, was excellent.

All traditional Georgian food was good, with exception of "Khinkali" that was on dry side - did not have enough juice. I was surprised that there was no "Kuchmachi" on the menu, which is a staple for Georgian cuisine, and even more surprised that waitress didn't know about such a dish. Other minor shortcomings: waitress abandoned us for quite a while when it was time for coffee, so I had to go find her, and there was no Turkish coffee available, which is another staple in Georgia. Overall, both, food and wine (including "Chacha"), were excellent.

gorgeous elegant space, very tastefully decorated. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the food is delicious! Fresh and clean vegan and vegetarian options too. We had an early dinner so we left before the entertainment/music started. At that time it was very quiet, but i understand it livens up later in the evening. Highly recommend.

Stopped by Pepela at 5:30pm on a Wednesday after seeing a matinee. We had the place all to ourselves for a while. Beautiful dining room, very friendly service and amazing Georgian food. Really enjoyed the Kharcho soup with tender veal and the Khinkali dumplings with beef. The owner stopped by a couple of times to make suggestions and see what we thought of the food. He appreciated our compliments and enthusiasm for his food. He surprised us at the end of our meal by comping a large piece of Tiramisu. I've had Tiramisu before, but never one this good. We also enjoyed his favorite Georgian wine. Can't wait to go back and try more.

The food is Georgian (as in former Soviet republic not the US state) and it is memorable. Service was fantastic, too. But, seriously, go for the food and the ambience. We went on a Thursday night and there was a singer there who was quite good as well. Highly recommend this hidden gem - in a brownstone, looks like you're entering someone's home but it sets the perfect atmosphere for dinner.

Heard about this place so many times and finally got there on a Monday night dinner. Wonderful ambience and beautiful decor really impressed me. It's definitely worth seeing. They have a very nice and quiet bar on the first floor where you may have a pre-dinner drink while you are waiting for your guest. The main dining room is downstairs. They do have live music and it starts around 7-8 pm. Our server Cristina was great. She was very polite, attentive and experienced. If you know something about Georgian food-that's the right place. The chef is Georgian and he knows what he's doing. Khachapuri and khinkali were the best I ever tried in NY. The only dissapointment is the music. It was too loud.Maybe bc we were sitting to close to the scene.

My husband and I visited this lovely restaurant because we were intrigued by the opportunity to try Georgian food. The setting is lovely - in an old townhouse, nicely decorated and very well-spaced tables. The service was very friendly and courteous - we wanted to try Georgian wine and they offered tastings to us before we selected our bottle. The food was plentiful and tasty, using combinations of Georgian spices and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed our experience, and plan to visit again for lunch or brunch.

Veggy appetizers were interesting, special Georgian taste. Khachapuri not bad, but not really special. Very nice Georgian bread. Buglama of Salmon was very well prepared, rice and sauce were very interesting. However Kupaty and Mzvadi Ketze (pork Kebab) were mediocre, nothing special. We paid $343 for 5 people (including automatic tip) and it felt too high a price for the amount of food we got, most of which was appetizers and only 3 entrees. We had a bottle of wine too.

Without the voucher, we couldn't have afforded to eat here. And while the food was good, it wasn't good enough to justify the undiscounted cost. The meats (I had pork, my friend had lamb) were over-cooked. The sides were switched (I got the potatoes he ordered, he got the grilled veggies I ordered). And we often couldn't get the server's attention when we wanted her. The dry Georgian red wine was very good after it breathed in the glass a while. The ambience had a charming, old world quality.

Very good food, interesting and unusual dishes. Decor ambiance OK, but importantly not too noisy. Entertainment was unexpected surprise, but why Spanish not Russian slant? Only two of the listed deserts were available (disappointment) and no American coffee -- only option for it was "Americano" (diluted espresso).

Wonderfully decorated with exquisite chandeliers and beautifully displayed bar in a townhouse situated in Murray Hill. An array of foods made for vegetarians but also includes seafood and meat dishes for the carnivore (veal, pork, chicken, beef). Also, the bar list includes an interesting variety of cocktails and wines. Service is excellently paced by Alex who is so nice and helpful with recommendations. We were fortunate to meet the owner of the restaurant. He is so kind and gracious. Even Bill Clinton ate there! Conveniently located on 30th Street between Lexington and Park Avenue.

Tucked away in a Brownstone you almost don't realize to walk into the building. Upon opening the door you are pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor. There's a bar upstairs. The ambience is sexy and cool! We were greeted immediately and taken downstairs which is so sexy. White decor with chic uplighting creates a romantic yet inviting environment. There is a stage which we learned Wed-Sun there is live music. Onto the food and drink. The Georgian food was to die for! The Eggplant roll and meat pie was awesome. Our entrees... WOW!!! A pork dish (huge portion) was so tasty and the Salmon again huge portion was fabulous! We can't wait to go back on a weekend for live music!
