    One of our favorite places! Brunch is excellent and very reasonable. Try the Johnny cakes with a poached egg! Fantastic! The French toast is a delicious sweet option. The dinner is also wonderful—the duck breast us the BEST! The sablefish melts in your mouth! Again, price us quite reasonable for what you get.

    On the Friday night we dined, the room was almost too loud to carry conversation. It is a lively space. Staff were attentive and warm. Food was tasty enough. Salad, side potatoes and a flatiron were nicely presented but not at the level of wanting to go back a second time. Portions on the small side. Wine by the glass choices were nice. I think the brownie dessert was very delicious and deserves a higher rating than the other selections we had.

    We brought my Sister in law who was visiting from out of town and my Mother in law, who had never been. My MIL decided that this was where we would always bring our out-of-town visitors. I like Fable because the food is consistently good, I always know I'll have a great meal and great service. Thank you!

    The food was wonderful, the people were wonderful. And, almost the best part, the space was just right — it was cozy, nice lighting that wasn’t too bright or too dim, and the sound level was perfect. So many restaurants get this wrong with bad acoustics and the music cranked up way too loud! At Fable Kitchen the acoustics were ideal — thanks to the use of some thoughtfully designed sound panels — and the music was mellow, all of it designed to let the food, and the company with which we were dining, shine. Thank you!

    Intimate space with amazing service. The sable fish was perfectly cooked and we were amazed how well the micro greens paired with it. We will be coming back!!! well done

    Amazing food, service, wine selection, excellent on all counts. I appreciate that they made an extra effort to keep the noise level down with the ceiling buffers as well.

    Bread was very delicious but the butter was a little disappointing, not much flavour and needed salt. Other dishes were excellent especially the pasta with the duck meatball !

    Brunch was, at best, marginal. The smash burger had no condiments to speak of, so the bun and the meat had to produce the entire effect without any of the things that would be expected to elevate the taste. The fries were frozen not fresh. The poached eggs were barely warm. Huge expectations...Big disappointment.

    We dined on a busy weekend evening at peak dinner time. The restaurant was fully booked with diners at every table, and the noise level was of such a nature that it made conversation difficult . The food and the service was absolutely superb!! Hands down one of the best restaurants in Vancouver!

    Tables too close together, noise level very high. We started with the duck meatball appetizer which was composed of one meatball and pasta. Meatball was too heavily flavored with Chinese five spice and pasta was very bland. Roasted carrot dish was nothing great, sablefish and duck breast were okay. Service was outstanding, which saved the day.

    Our experience at Fable was outstanding. From being warmly welcomed, to the moment the bill was paid. Everything was done with great care, expertise and passion. The food was beautifully prepared, with attention to detail, full of flavour, fresh and creative. The simple menu is a refreshing change. The servers are well-informed and talented. The entire experience was lovely.

    Service was amazing and so was the food. Definitely recommended for a date night or a special occasion with friends and family. Portions are not too big but enough to get you full. Will for sure be visiting here again soon!

    I’m not a vegan but chose the bowl and I could be vegan if this was what I had access to. I couldn’t resist trying a pancake so I ordered a side to share with my husband. Delish! His dish was the feature Benny - black pepper jam & sausage. No complaints. We treated my food knowledgeable dad to brunch. Pulled pork pancakes gave him a joyful experience. The restaurant passed my husband’s coffee test… first sip - he said, “We made a good choice.” Look forward to checking out the spot for dinner in the future.

    Fable Kitchen was a really fun, cozy, and delicious restaurant. My partner and I throughly enjoyed our meal and cocktails, we even came back after going for a walk. It’s laid back yet delectable food makes this a great place to treat yourself for a meal out.

    I loved everything about the restaurant, but although we ordered two mains and a dessert, we felt like we could have ordered an appetizer to feel full. The portion of the stake was good, but it didn't come with any sides, just some mushroom as a garnish, and that's why we felt the portion wasn't enough.
