   A horrible experience. Our party of 10, which included our 94 year old mother, waited over 2 hours to have our drink order delivered, and even then, only 2/3 of the table was able to order, as the waiter disappeared and did not return. We had to keep getting up to look for a server. There was 2 servers only for the entire restaurant. We asked for bread as we were starving. Nothing was brought. After 2 hours and 45 minutes we left money on the table for the drinks that half our table received and left. What should have been a wonderful celebratory Christmas (and possibly last dinner) we may have had with our 94 year old mother, ended in hunger,, anger and frustration. We expected much better from the Waldorf Astoria, which is rated a 5 star hotel. Our party of 12, ended up by ordering take out from a fast food place in order to have something to eat. The expense of renting limos, dressing in gowns and expecting a culinary experience ended in disappointment and disillusionment. We will never return to this establishment and we would caution any prospective diners to go elsewhere. If we could rate this experience less than a "1", we would.

   The restaurant was virtually empty and staff was limited so service was a bit slow. But attentive when there. The food was fine, not spectacular as you would expect from the Waldorf brand. Overall just average for fine dining.
