We enjoyed a very good dinner at Tzuco last night. The tuna ceviche, the pork shank, and the chili rellenos were excellent. Our only complaints: The water was plentiful but not cold and without ice. We like cold water with plenty of ice. And the queso fundido was more sauteed mushrooms with too little cheese sauce. We plan to return soon to try several other menu items that caught our eye.

I always have some apprehension when choosing to try these “fancy” restaurants. I usually end up feeling like I just spent a lot of money on service and not on a satisfying meal. This place was so much more! Yes the price is a bit more, but the quality of the meal and the quantity of food to go along with the excellent service and atmosphere is well worth it! I have never had pork so tender and delicious, it just melts in your mouth! The mahi mahi was perfectly cooked and our server was amazing! Thank you for making this fine dining experience actually enjoyable with zero regrets !!

The food was amazing. Everyone in the party got something different and every single dish was amazing. Can’t go wrong here. Prize was on point for the experience we received. I would have paid more.

I went to Tzuco 4 years ago and was so excited to go back. It was just as amazing as I remembered!! The service was exceptional. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Highly recommend.

Found Tzuco on the Michelin Guide app and had dinner with my wife on a Wednesday evening at 6:30p. We reserved the chef's counter and it was a great choice. Being able to see the chef prepare everything was like being at a performance. They were hopping and a well oiled machine! The food was excellent as well! We had the chiken tinga Tetela with corn masa and the tastiest creamy chipotle to start. We also ordered the Cochinta Pibil (pork shank) with tortillas and Carne Asada (Angus NY Strip) with fingerling potatoes and a chipotle goat cheese fondue. Everything looked exactly like the pictures on the website...and tasted even better. The only thing lacking was our server. After getting seated, we finally had to ask after about 10 minutes who our server was. They pointed her out and she finally came over and said, "can i get you some drinks". Nothing else. I would highly recommend Tzuco and wouldn't let our experience w/the service deter you from coming in. I would definitely go back!

I came to Tzuco for the 1st time about 4 years a go and was blown away with my whole experience dinning in . Everything was delicious, the ambiance was pretty good and service was great. My wife and I went for dinner last night June 25th and was really disappointed, dinner was good but wasnt blown away like I was a few years a go. It's very unfortunate because that's the one restaurant we were looking forward the most while staying in Chicago. Service was amazing, our server was super attentive and made our experience feel better. The best part of our meal was the Guava Pavlova. Hope Chef Carlos can turn the food around for a better experience next time we come back to Chicago.

Fabulous dinner of beautifully prepared and presented dishes. Portions are so generous we could have had one entree. We will be back lots!
