Although the place has a nice setting , the food we thought was over priced and very little portions the staff also needed to be more personable and smile more

Had a lovely meal at the star in the city using a gift voucher we received from our family. It’s a beautiful restaurant in a stunning setting - perfect for a special occasion. Our main course of Indian spiced chicken was delicious. Special mention to our server Katy - she was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our first time dining here but I’m sure we will be back.

A great work lunch as always! Staff that are friendly and efficient. Food that hits all the right things - flavours, ingredients and price. Drinks - a few too many but all served with a smile.

Can’t fault one thing. Gorgeous food - I had ox cheeks, 2 of my party had the indian spiced chicken, 1 the lamb and 1 the burger. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed. Good portion sizes and 1 portion of the ranch potatoes were shared around also. We also had the special cheesecake and the pana cotta. Would definitely go back and it was well worth the 12.5% service charge - Luma was amazing! Highly recommended.

Overall the food and ambience was good but the service is abysmal. Had to ask for the waiters to take our food order after a considerable wait from the first drinks order. Then there was no cutlery when the dessert was served and a "yes in a minute" from the waitress when we asked. Poor we probably won't visit again.

Lunch for two with a bottle of wine was around £200 . Terrece is a lovely setting and service really excellent . However didn't enjoy the food as much as on previous visits I had the venison starter and then beef main which felt really rather heavy and less digestable and would have suited a cooler autumn or winter menu perfectly likewise my daughter couldn't finish her main. So partly a poor choice on my part of dishes on a warm day but I do feel the menu was a bit heavy for a warm summer .

I’ve been here before, and it was just as good this time! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious — I had the tuna steak. Took some friends along this time, and they really enjoyed it too.

A table for 2 booked for 13:00 on Saturday lunchtime as the restaurant can get very busy. Arrived approx. half hour before, our table was available so we decided to be seated & enjoy a drink before lunch. The staff doing meet & greet on reception were very professional & courteous showing us to our table. Through out the whole service they were very attentive with out being annoying (credit to the restaurant). The meals were served hot, good quality produce & given the standard of the establishment i feel represented good value for money (no wonder they get so busy). If on the menu when you vist i would recommend the char grilled tuna steak, 8 hour braised Ox cheek from the main courses; the pineapple steamed sponge & limoncello choux bun from the dessert menu. All very pleased with the level of service & the quality of the food. Will definitely be eating there again.
