    Always a little noisy around the 5-7PM dinner slot because it is well situated in a popular Hingham, MA shopping complex, but the food is excellent, and the service is good. Overall, a good value.

    Typical very good experience at Derby St on a slow Monday evening. The greeting, service and food were all terrific.

    We came here on Father’s Day for a 5pm reservation. I assume they were understaffed because we had to wait a while to order. The waitress brought a half bottle of wine which she struggled opening and then left the bottle, not pouring a glass. When ordering the meals, they were out of popcorn and applesauce for the kids. When our meals came my father’s linguine with clams came with 4 clams, 2 of which were not open so should never be eaten or served. They then were out of linguine with clams to replace his meal. Our dirty main course dishes sat on the table through dessert and paying the bill. They did end up comping two of our 6 meals but we were very dissatisfied with the whole thing.

    Steak tips weren’t great. Not tender at all. Fried clams were just ok. Overall , not my best experience at a Legal.

    We were greeted very warmly by the hostess and seated quickly. Server did a good job and the shrimp appetizers and entree salads were excellent. Always a positive experience at Derby St

    Place was empty and we had horrible service. Sadly it wasn’t the first time. This place used to be good but has gone down hill. Not worth the cost to eat out with this type of service.
