West 29th is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food choices that each have a special flourish. We go there with special friends or on occasions when we want a break from the louder more predictable venues.
This is our “go-to” restaurant because it is consistently amazing. Great ambiance, service and food. Parking is easy!! House Chardonnay and salmon are my favorite!!
Calamari was so spicy my husband couldn’t eat it. Entrees were good but not exceptional. We noted anniversary in resv but they didn’t acknowledge our special occasion at all. Table next to us got the same dessert we paid for with a candle and congratulations. It is not French at all and I’m surprised you have that in description. Decor is southwest, plates are Italian, Indian, American and random other ethnicity. We would never dine here again. So disappointed!
The chicken cacciatore on the new menu is awesome!
Always reliable. Always good food. Always great service. Our "go to" place.
We love going here for date nights. They had just changed the menu for the season and everything we had was so delicious! Service is great and its fairly quiet with a nice fire going. Would definitely recommend!
This restaurant is a gem!
The service is always impeccable and friendly.
As always, the food is wonderful and great value for the size of the servings. Love the pork chops and salmon for dairy free and GF. My friend really liked the vegetarian lasagna. We always like the paleo calamari. Will be back again.
We have enjoyed many dinners with our family and friends at West 29th, but our experience this week was horrible. Our waitress was less than attentive. Those in our party that requested alcoholic drinks got their drinks promptly, but the others were continually overlooked. The food took longer than usual to arrive and when we ordered our dessert it never came, so we asked that they cancel the dessert order. The waitress then said that they were out of that item. I can honestly say that it will be a long time before we plan a return visit to your restaurant.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch at West 29th -- we all HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the service was absolutely FANTASTIC. This was my third time going to West 29th, and each time, the service has been impeccable.
Brought our friends here after they flew in from Ohio. Cute little restaurant with great service and mostly good food. We tried the calamari and beet ravioli for our appetizers. Calamari was decent but the beet ravioli was really good, even to my friend who didn't think he would like it. For dinner, we had the duck breast, flat iron steak, fish and chips, and the ratatouille lasagna. Duck breast and steak were excellent, fish and chips just ok, and the ratatouille lasagna was surprisingly tasty. For dessert, we had the chocolate at West 29th, a beautiful little cake with mousse and ganache with vanilla creme anglaise and fresh strawberry sauce. It was a perfect ending to a good meal!
We love this friendly, comfortable and cozy restaurant! The food is excellent with interesting choices! Great service and we enjoy coming here for a quiet dinner.
Great place to take friends the experience is always positive. Love the variety on the menu.
We have been here several times and love bringing new friends! We’ve had every dish on the menu and each one has been delicious! The drinks are good and the atmosphere is awesome whether you are in the dining room on a cozy winter night or outside in the summer.
Nice cozy place. Perfect to have conversations. Food was good and they were nice to comp dessert for my friends birthday!
Visiting from out of town. Thoroughly enjoyed our first dinner there so we came back near the end of our visit for another dinner.
Perfect evening for the 3 of us.
They have the most awesome wait staff. They are able to retain these wonderful servers
The bean soup, stroganoff and hamburger were all excellent and prices very reasonable
The food was great! The menu is unique and varied. Service was quick but not rushed. There's a lovely patio area and a cozy fireplace inside. Give it a try!
Excellent neighbor hood Restaurant & Bar. Has become one of our "Go To" places for great meals, drinks with a home town feel. Can't beat your local neighbor hood establishment :-) !!!
We always enjoy our time at W 29th. The outdoor patio was so lovely.
Charming setting with a solid menu. Not pretentious, however up-scale.
I wish they were open for lunch!
A nice neighborhood restaurant with patio and bar. The interior is well appointed and comfortable. The food portions are generous and well presented. The pork loin and steak were good. The duck was not. It has a good selection of wines. The key-lime pie was very good. The service was very good.
We really enjoyed the patio seating, but the dining room also looked quite pleasant. We tried the gnocci appetizer, it was quite tasty. The pork loin chops with goat cheese gratin were excellent, as was the trout. The seasonal vegetable mix was nicely grilled and crisp tender. And the Honduran Brownies were fabulous. So nice to find a place where it's possible to have a quiet conversation and that has delicious food and great service. We will definitely be back.
Lovely staff and attentive to our requests and questions. Delicious fresh food was provided and a fantastic dessert.
Had the mussels for an appetizer, which were good. Some were only slightly open, but we ate them anyway. Got the Gorgonzola stroganoff again, hoping the beef tips wouldn't be overcooked like the last time. Much to my disappointment, they were. Very chewy; not impressed. Maybe need to specially ask for them at medium or medium rare to taste. My husband got the flat iron steak, which was amazing. The potatoes that come on the side were very bland and tasted like pepper. Not much cheese or flavor really. Overall, a good meal, but nothing I am dying to go back for. We also both ended up having bowel issues that night. Might wanna stay away from the "slightly" opened mussels.
Always enjoy the outside seating. Pleasant and atmospheric; good job on the gardening that surrounds the patio. Waitress was just ok but the food was delicious.
Really love this restaurant! Great food and service...you just can’t beat it. Nice not to have to hassle with finding parking. Some friends met us for dinner and it was their first time eating there, and they absolutely raved about it (and they are pretty particular). The atmosphere on the patio was so quiet and relaxing, we really didn’t want to leave :o). Highly recommend.
Ate here twice last week whilst visiting our son in Denver. We were very impressed with the quality of the food, service ( well trained servers), and the outside area was lovely. Next time we visit we will return.
The food, service and ambiance is “above its local peers” given its location (removed from the city). Cioppino and salmon were excellent, and Wednesdays is Half Price on select bottles of wine. Very good for a Wednesday date night!
The patio is delightful. The food presentation is appealing and served hot. We always enjoy our meals at West 29th.
West 29th is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the food, the ambiance, the servers and especially the value. It's becoming our go-to place for special occasions.
Wonderful food great service. My only issue was a family brought their young children in and they were crying and making a scene. This is not a restaurant for young children. This is not the fault of the restaurant, but of parents that do not keep an eye on their children and let them run all over the place. It put a damper on our anniversary dinner, otherwise all was well. Will be back.
The food here is consistently excellent. The wine list is great and so is the service. Lovely outdoor patio seating is wonderful.
Server was attentive and nice! Food (duck) was delicious. Ambience was cozy. Loved it!!!
The appearance of the food was lovely. I had the duck and was really disappointed. Nothing on the plate seemed seasoned, including the potatoes and vegetables. While the food was OK, it really could have been spectacular and was instead bland.
We love this neighborhood favorite! Great food and quiet atmosphere - unlike all the bars around here.
This place is just awesome. Love the beer mugs and menu choices.
Every meal I've had at West 29th has been excellent. It's quiet laid back atmosphere appeals to me and the service and food have always been top-notch. I've taken many friends and family to dine here and they all agree that it's a great place. Eating on the patio on one of those warm summer nights can't be beat.
We’ve been going to West 29th for a few years now and have come to realize that the dining experience here can be spotty at best. While the food is pretty solid the service can range from excellent to some of the worst in Denver—the problem is you just never know what you’re going to get. Unfortunately our last experience was a disaster...
Went for Sunday brunch. Bottomless mimosas were delightful! Gigantic cinnamon roll was incredible. The rest of our food was great as well! The service was outstanding!! Can’t wait to go back!
This was our first time at West 29th. It was date night for my husband and I, and we loved it.
Quiet quaint patio out back, very nice bar. Ample free parking.
Food was very good with wide selection of choices for most diets and preferences.
Surprising was it felt upscale and yet was affordable.
