Staying true to who we are, we will be focusing on simple seafood, local vegetables, proteins and of course pasta dishes.     We should have sent our food back it was so over spiced. If I was the chef tasting the tagliatelle I would’ve thrown out the whole batch. It was Thai food spicy.

    Absolutely amazing restaurant. It was recommended by a friend. I wanted to find a good, high quality restaurant in West Seattle located near bookstores and Easy Street Records. It was perfect. And, wow! The best restrooms I've ever seen.

    We have enjoyed Haymaker over the years and this visit did not disappoint. Everything from the oysters on the half shell to the chocolate pot de creme was delicious and the service was quite good. We will definitely return.

    Nothing wow’d us here. Ordered cocktails first and it took easily 20 minutes. Then we ordered food which took longer. Got our appetizers and then waited for what seemed like 30 minutes before the host/manager told us the crab for their crab pasta was bad and we’d have to sub out shrimp or halibut. Not sure how they didn’t know it was bad before we ordered. We chose the shrimp substitution but they were tiny little grocery store shrimp. Not really a worthy substitution. None of the food was bad, but it also wasn’t excellent. Presentation was middling, taste was just ok. We had a reservation at 6:30 and didn’t get out of there until 9ish. Overall I don’t think this is worth the money.

    Went out to Haymaker for girls night out! We had a wonderful server. The food was good and the drinks were spectacular! The pasta was to die for! It was my favorite thing other than the drinks!

    It was a great overall experience. They made a mistake on our order, but the manager came over and apologized, gave us an extra dish and corrected the item quickly, all on the house. The food and drinks tasted amazing. My only real issue with it all was that I'm a big guy, and my legs didn't fit under the table. Everything else was great.

    First I'll say that this restaurant has a ton of potential to be great, the food is good, the space is cute, the drinks are good, but the service & way the restaurant operates is probably the worst I've seen in Seattle. I've never seen a kitchen move slower & messier than Haymaker, you can see the kitchen & every move they make; it's clear there is no organization, no management, and it's just guesswork. For instance we received one main dish about 30 minutes after ordering, and my partner didn't receive his until 20 minutes after that (we ordered pasta, there's no way it should take that long). In terms of service it's also obvious 90% of the staff are new & have never worked in a restaurant before. I'm not sure who the owner or manager is but it's pretty obvious they don't know much about operations for a restaurant. Fix those ops problems & you have a great restaurant. If you don't mind waiting an hour for food & getting main dishes at vastly different times then it's a good choice.

    There were 5 of us. The server was very nice and professional. The menu is short but adequate.! We placed our order, after ten minutes we were told that one of the dishes was not available. We made a different choice. Ten minutes after that we were told that one of the other dishes we ordered was not available. After several tries we got meals. One of the dishes was schnitzel, what arrived was certainly NOT schnitzel, it was a pork chop - tasty enough but not what we wanted. We ordered a glass of wine with dinner that did not arrive until we were almost finished. In the end we were “comped” a hamburger and two half glasses of wine. Fair enough but it did not make up for a disappointing night out. We won’t be back

    I was looking forward to our dinner at Haymaker because we had had such a wonderful experience there last year when we visited Seattle. Our party of six was seated at a table along the front window at 6:15. If the window had a shade, it would have been a great spot. Unfortunately, the sun beat in on us for about an hour. We were Hot and squinting in the sun’s glare, even though we had gotten our sunglasses out of our cars. We tried three different cocktails and they were all very good. The steaks and crab dish were disappointing. However, the salads, salmon, burger and mushrooms were excellent.

    Enjoyed our main course and appetizer. Pasta was a bit clumsy and not worth the money. IT WAS SOOOOO HOT INSIDE THE RESTAURANT. Please use AC in summer.

    Ambience is great. Love the simple industrial vibe and the variety of seating options. drinks were great. Staff were nice and attentive Food, meh. Bland and dry, crab pasta; salmon piece small on a blah bed of vegetation. Disappointed me n entrees.

    Everything was great except the wait for our entrees. We both ordered fish and waited over 25min doe them to arrive to our table. It wasn’t even an extremely busy night. The food is worth the wait but when you are hungry it feels even longer.

    Service was terrible. Even worse was the timing of the meal. Entrees came out ridiculously fast. Overall pacing of the meal made no sense and was very disappointing. So much so that I’ll likely never go back.

    The pasta was ok. The shrimp and clams were good but not great for what they charged. The dish could use a bit more seasoning. The cake I had was just ok. If they are trying to be anything like IL Corvo they are way off the mark

    Not sure if it was an off night but wow, worst dining experience in a very long time. Wine selection, great. Then it all went downhill. Ordered apps but they took more than 30 minutes to come out. The waiter kept asking for main course order and we’re like can we wait until we get apps. Finally caved and put in order when we said apps coming soon, they didn’t. Our apps were oysters and charcuterie board, not a huge lift to prepare. Then the pasta was undercooked, and I like Al denti, and watery sauce for the rigatoni. So odd-hoping for an off night cause I’m looking forward to the gh pasta opening on 35th. Other disappointments occurred, but that’s the overall summary-timing and food lacking.
