   Excellent food and cocktails. Helpful and attentive waiter (but not overbearing). A real find. A bit noisy, but that could have been the St Pat's Day crowd, or the March Madness crowd. A great meal all around.

   Excellent food spoilt by far too high a noise level. Much more of a bar than a restaurant atmosphere. But the manager was responsive to a request for an off menu item. High marks for that.

    Fantastic brunch menu. So many appealing - and different - choices, it was very hard to make a decision. Egg sandwich was perhaps the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Expertly toasted buttery brioche bun with that little bit of toasty crunch. Shaved ham with just the right salty edge. Perfectly cooked egg. All melded together with avocado and hollandaise. Delicious. And, I haven’t even mentioned the FRIES!

    The dollar oysters were ok. They only had one poor guy shucking oysters for a full house. The wait staff asked if we wanted alcoholic drinks three times, and seemed rushed each time they came by. I wouldn’t recommend going on dollar night. It was also pricey overall.

    Got a bunch of apps and a few entrees to share with a group of 4, it was absolutely delicious at a great price! Fun place, will be returning for sure. A little noisy, so not great for bigger parties, but nice for a date where you can sit close to each other. Fun bar atmosphere.

    We were so impressed! Food was delicious and the host and staff were beyond accommodating for our party of 4 adults plus my 7 month old daughter. Dollar oysters before 5pm were a huge bonus. We will definitely be back!!

    The food was amazing and relatively inexpensive! We went for brunch and got a few things to share from the menu: banana bread, mussels, oysters, breakfast sandwich. The moules frites was our favorite. Would definitely recommend!

    Took my daughter in law and her mom for lunch. We shared many delicious dishes ; Our favorite appetizer was the crab ragout grilles cheese, the best meal was the crispy fried fish sandwich and the incredible desert was the apple crisp vanilla ice cream. One of our meals was not prepared right and right away they took the blame and prepared the meal again. We were so full, that they packed it away and took it off the bill. I have a peanut allergy and it was not an issue. We really enjoyed all aspects of our lunch

    Food was very good. Servers were attentive but not pushing. When we needed something the servers were there - or they’d already done it. Food arrived promptly. I was dying for a green salad, but there was nothing like that on the menu. There were vegetarian salad options but I really wanted something with greens. Maybe there will be a green salad option another time.

    We came here for a dinner with grandparents and grandchildren for a birthday. The food was incredible and there was something for everyone (various different diets- gluten free, vegan) and the ambiance was great!

    A wonderful place for lunch. Innovative menu, very nicely prepared. And quiet enough to enjoy the lunch. I’ve given up going for dinner; the ear splitting din just isn’t worth it.

    I took advantage of the restaurant week menu. I had the beet salad which was absolutely delicious and very visually-appealing. I had the cheesburger which was good but nothing special. The fries were string fries which I love but were lukewarm. I got coconut cream pie for dessert. It was very light and delicious! We sat in the very back of the restaurant where it was a bit cozier. I would definitely recommend The Black Lamb and I'd go back.

    My date had dined here once before with his business partners and enjoyed it. This time, not so much. It was Restaurant Week so we took advantage of the prix fixe menu. Unfortunately, our server ignored us on three separate occasions, the main dishes lacked flavor, and the carrot cake was extremely dry and hard. The saving grace was the drinks - my champagne was top notch.

    Our first time at black lamb for our wedding anniversary! My husband ordered the beet salad and Branzini dish and for me as a vegetarian option was offered branzini with out the fish which was broccoli raisins and hamony with almonds ( no protein and not filling at all ) unfortunately they ran out of cauliflower appetizer ?? So they offered me crispy mushroom which was more breading than mushroom with a tasty yogurt sauce The margaritas we ordered was very delicious and portion was generous . The complementary bread rolls was very delicious and helped me to fill up . Service was nice and not pushy . Great place to go back for cocktails but not if you are vegetarian

    I will preface this by saying this is a review from a reservation during dine out week so it likely doesn’t reflect the normal environment. This is a fun local spot in the south end, not too pricey (the regular menu prices are reasonable). Food was good, I loved the short rib. Drinks are good, nice mix of classics and more trendy cocktails. The olives are surprisingly tasty. The bread is so so delicious and I highly recommend. The service felt rushed and I’m sure they were trying to turn the table. Our table for two was out 90 minutes after we sat down and we sat early and we definitely felt hustled through ordering etc, courses arriving, etc. I am not sure how much time they left for each reservation this week but I wondered given the rush we felt. I’d be very curious to see what it’s like on a non dine out week!

    Very nice waitress however completely screwed up our drink order which meant it took forever to get them. The bartender even substituted a different brand of gin (without asking if we even liked the substituted brand) rather than tell us they did not have any Hendricks. Very odd. We were given a free dessert however due to this snafu. Food was good but not as good as we expected. Very noisy at the beginning but as the place emptied out, much better.
