We are a unique farm-direct restaurant offering a curated & delicious experience utilizing only the freshest seasonal ingredients and ethically raised meats. Our co-owners (Farm One Forty) grow pasture raised pork & grass-fed beef & lamb on their 140-acres of holistically managed land. Farmer and Chef stay in constant contact about what is growing on the farm in order to give you a menu bursting with life and flavour! We also sell our ethically raised meats, honey and produce in our market, which is attached to the restaurant.
great dinner for my Moms birthday celebration
Wonderful upscale dining experience. I had the Lamb and my spouse had the Papparadelle both were delicious. Appetizer was a smoked trout on greens and surprisingly large for an appie. Will return happily.
Food was great and service fantastic. Would’ve like a few more cocktail options.
Food was fresh and tasty but a little plain and bland for what we expected. Ambience was nice and simple. Service was great.
Excellent meal. Great service. Definitely will be back.
Very disappointing but with potential. May try again later in hopes they have worked out problems: staff not knowledgeable about menu; long delay in serving food (over 2 1/2 hours from start to finish with no desserts); some dishes served cold; not all dishes served at same time; slow (or forgot) to bring extra utensils or condiments when requested; fish heavily salted; poor cut of pork belly with little meat and fat poorly rendered; fried chicken and accompanying coleslaw quite disappointing.
We visited Odla as a group of four. We were seated quickly and provided with cocktail and food menus. The cocktail menu is short but very creative and interesting with house specialty drinks. We each ordered a cocktail and they were excellent.
We ordered a Lamb Meatballs appetizer to share and it was delicious.
The menu is quite limited but enough variety for everyone’s taste, including vegan and gluten-free. We all raved about our entrees, which were sourced from local fresh foods.
Our server was knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. The food quantity on each plate was good and the value was appropriate for this quality of dining experience.
Quality of food was excellent. Staff were friendly, professional, timely and not intrusive. Great location.
Odla never fails .. charming and welcoming with wonderful, delicious food
Amazing food, great service, will definitely be back
I get my lamb from the farm that started this restaurant, so I wasn’t sure. I knew they could farm, but could they restaurant (because that’s a verb, right?) Boy oh boy, can they ever. Great selection, meals are gourmet but with a home-cooked feel, which means the portions are good. Everything we ordered had amazing combinations of flavour - lamb meatballs, chickpea fritters, pork belly, steak - those chefs are ninjas. A true farm to table restaurant that actually got it right.
Amazing food! Quality ingredients help to make this place a definite must go. The pork was Devine and the appetizer specials so tasty.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from the apps to the entrees - full of flavor. Service was great - staff was attentive and friendly. It’s a new go to spot for us!
The lamb shank feature was amazing! Wish it was on their everyday menu!!
Odla didn’t surprise us! Knowing the farm from before we knew the food will be outstanding. And it was. The service was impeccable and the ambiance is both formal and relaxing.
Great food and presentation with a knowledgeable and attentive server
Odla is a new gem on Broadway. The food is fresh. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is excellent. We sat outside on the deck and it was quite pleasant, although Broadway can get noisy and the sun was quite hot - nothing that Odla can do about those downsides. We also loved the little market. Eating locally produced organic and fresh food at reasonable prices is a bonus to having Odla nearby.
The food was excellent and the server was fun and helpful. However we did wait for a very very long time to get our food. I think this was unusual as the other people in the restaurant seemed to get theirs without a long delay. I would definitely give them a second chance as the food itself when it arrived was very good.
We very much enjoyed our dining experience. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was great.
Went for a Sunday Brunch. Shared the eggs benedict and fried chicken sandwich. I think the biscuit instead of the English muffin is a neat concept, but didn't really work in practice for me, or my partner. It's dense, and thereby a little too dry. My partner thought it was strangely herbal. The side salad is just some dressed greens, which are nice, but uninspired. Huge fan of the fried chicken sandwich from the Rook, so I was excited to try their version. The fried chicken sandwich was disappointing. Nice texture all around, but lacks any flavor. The coleslaw fell flat, and not enough flavor from the fried chicken to save the sandwich. I'll probably try dinner sometime, but not brunch or lunch for a while.
Bright natural light from the skylights recreates the peace of a country farm house. Love the simple dinnerware and uncomplicated furnishings. And the food...Saskatoon now has Heaven on earth! The steak was perfect, the coffee strong. Too bad we were too full for dessert.
Fabulous food. Taste was superb and the server was attentive and helpful. Timing is the meal was nicely planned coming out quickly but did not feel rushed at all. Lovely addition to Broadway and would recommend it to all.
Fantastic food and great service. Highly recommend it.
New place. Still working out some glitches I think.service friendly but not particularly knowledgeable, especially wine and liquor.
Love the space though. And my smoked salmon appetizer was superb. Pappardelle good but not brilliant. Nice wine list but a few duds. Casual Garcia Rose for instance.
Market next door is a bonus
Odla is a very nice addition to the Saskatoon food science. It is definitely farm to table, with a Nordic twist, with such things lingo berries and other Nordic standards are part featured dishes. Breakfast was nice; the bacon sausage was unique and the lingon lemonade refreshing.
Had a wonderful brunch with friends. The special with beef and eggs was excellent.
My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the food!! The service was very very sub par. We waited for a long time before the server came to the table. The hostess did bring us water when she sat us. Once the server finally came to the table she didn’t really greet us. We had to ask her what the specials are. I am a former server and I know how busy it gets but it seemed odd she came to the table and didn’t apologize for the wait, and almost was waiting for us to order instead of asking if we needed anything. Was just very odd. But the food was AMAZING! We had parpadelle with braised beef and the gnocchi and lamb bacon special!drinks were great!
Excellent food and service. Lots of gluten friendly options which made the experience wonderful and worry free. The drink menu is to die. Highly recommend the fried chicken (which has gluten free breading - say what what?!). Great atmosphere with clean, Scandinavian style - very true to its name. Good vibes.
Outstanding food and service. This is the true “taste of Saskatchewan” people. I can’t wait to go back.
Our second time here, this time we brought some extended family.
This one was a busier Sunday brunch. Tried at first to reserve over the phone twice with no answer or returned confirmation, but Open Table worked super well and they were ready for us.
Service has been great both times—very friendly, accommodating, informative, and prompt considering how busy they were.
The food has been great too. We’ve had their breakfast plate, fried chicken sandwich, and Eggs Benedict, and I’d recommend any of them. Portion sizes were about right, I thought. My wife had some sort of floral iced tea that sounded better on paper but was inoffensive. Coffee was good—the carafe was Phil & Sebastian-branded, so I’m assuming that’s what it was. They fooled me if it wasn’t.
Super happy to have this place in our neighbourhood and definitely appreciate the fact that they have high chairs. Hope it does well. We’ll definitely be back.
Great food. Interesting recipes! Good service. I love the fact that so much is made in house. It is home grown Saskatchewan food. Only criticism is their 5 oz. glass of wine rather than industry standard 6 oz. glass.
Great new restaurant with seasonal and local menu - delicious.
Very comfortable new spot with great ambiance and attentive service. I really wanted the food to be great but unfortunately it was pretty mediocre. My cocktail (which I asked in advance if it was sweet or tart) was over-sweet and generally uninteresting, the fritters were underwhelming and the fried chicken and pickled slaw were really not good. This happens often with new restaurants so I will give it a try again in a few months to see if things have improved.
We had a wonderful experience at Odla. I would highly recommend it.
Wonderful food - flavourful, great portion size, and feels like a homemade meal yet clearly elevated. The space looks great, they put a lot of work into it! Wish the lighting was warmer (daylight temperature bulbs are very blue which lent to a slightly cold atmosphere), but the service and company was warm and friendly. Had the chicken and it was amazing - the coleslaw was the best slaw I’ve ever had - fresh and perfect amount of spicy. We also had the meatball appetizer which was amazing, the red cabbage with the meatballs was our favourite part. Love what they’re doing here with local sustainable farming practices!
Really fun well designed space. Terrific local food with an amazing wine list!
The lunch meal was outstanding. Every item on the eggs benny was well seasoned and full of flavour. The rhubarb cocktail was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Space is a bit tight and that contributed to a slightly higher noise level. A bit difficult to have a private conversation. I would highly recommend this restaraunt. Cannot wait to return and experience the supper menu.
Excellent food and service.... as usual!
The pork pate is hands down the best thing on their menu.
Service was pretty lack lustre, and very slow.
Restaurant started off being a comfortable noise level, but towards the end of the meal got too loud to hear across the table.
Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, while the beet entree would have been best done as a shared appetizer as it was not as satisfying as the description on the menu made me believe.
Also, highly recommend the oh, snap! it's fantastic!
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was delicious and the drinks were made perfectly! I will definitely be going back again...i need to try the crispy chicken!
