The food was done well, although service was slow. I don’t believe that was the fault of our waitress, who was very attentive, polite, and accommodating. The restaurant does a great job at making you feel as though you are in a private setting all while being steps from the ocean.

Been there before this time very busy and service wasn’t as good last time. Server must had too many tables. Drink was nerve filled to the top of the glass and had to wait. The one silverware setting was missing a fork. Wasn’t the same as I remembered last time. I also sat in main dining area. This time right in front of the hostess station. I made this reservations 5 days in advance and would have thought of getting a table instead of a hot top.

The Iron Whale has become one of our favorite go to places to eat. Food always good. Restaurant has a nice vibe.

Food was excellent with generous portions of fish and shellfish. We had lobster bucatini, crab cake and tuna tacos. Our waiter was attentive and very pleasant.

It took 45 min to get first round of drinks because of bar service for a 530 seating

The food and service here are solid. We went at a busy time so it took a bit to get our drinks but our server let us know and it was fine. The only negative (and this is a personal pet peeve and may not bother others) but she kept asking how are "we" doing, are "we" ready to order. I always find this a but condescending like I am infirm or a geriatric. As I said may be just me. This is our go to spot on the boardwalk as they are the best by far for food and service.

This was our first time here. Service was terrific! Great menu, we enjoyed everything we had ordered. The bread served with fig jam, ricotta and maple butter was delicious, the crab cake was awesome! We had the filet mignon and seafood risotto it was delicious! We had 4:45 reservations which was the perfect time after 5:30 the restaurant is full but they have a large bar area to get drinks if you have later reservations that you can hang out at while waiting to be seated. We were very happy with this restaurant. You should definitely have reservations on the weekend.

Had a beautiful day on the boardwalk at Iron Whale! Server Juan was great! Very friendly and attentive, brought drink refills before requested. Food was very good, both had lobster BLT’s. Tasty, but lobster was cut open and perhaps broiled? So a little dry. Overall a lovely day!!
