We had a wonderful dining experience here. Outstanding service from everyone, and our waiter Mark was very knowledgeable on everything on the menu. Follow his recommendations and you won't go wrong. Definitely recommend this place for special occasions. Good food, great service, and beautiful setting.

This is a marvelous restaurant! The setting, with views to the Pacific Ocean, is beautiful. The food is very creative and delicious. We enjoyed a lovely beet salad and perfectly grilled Red Snapper along with crispy Brussels sprouts. The fig and orange brownie bar was just the right sweet to end our meal. Our server, Shane, as well as the other attendants, Esteban and Matthew, were all extremely helpful, personable, and very professional. We had a most lovely celebration of our wedding anniversary. I highly recommend a visit to Serea when in San Diego.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Serea. The opening soup course was really good, what I expect from a $155 3 course meal. The main course, I ordered lobster, I literally spit it out. The bbq cooked made it taste like chemicals, not edible. So I tried the turkey dinner. It was really, really BAD, the worst ever! Besides being flavorless, dry and old tasting, they tried to smoother it in gravy. Unremarkable squash mash potatoes and mash potatoes that were equally flavorless, green bean casserole was nasty. Dessert was a pear tart served cold. It was also flavorless, they should have considered serving it warm. I bit into mold on mine. We complained and got a small discount, but really wasn’t about a discount or whatever. Our thanksgiving dinner was terrible, McDonalds would have been an improvement. We both left hungry, with a ton of food on our plates as it just wasn’t edible. We tried to like it, tried to eat it. The location is wonderful at del. And the service was exquisite. Just opt for something from the coffee shop? I don’t know if this place is better on a non-holiday day. But really the cuisine was shameful on Thanksgiving and I can’t believe we were served this.

We were there for Thanksgiving, which means the menu was prix fixe. We were fine with that, however they did offer additional add ons for $20 (lobster, tri tip of risotto). I did the risotto, which was literally a scoop of risotto added to the plateful of traditional Thanksgiving fare. Nothing worth an additional $20. Service was incredibly slow. On one hand I appreciate a slower meal experience, but we had been there an hour and still had not been served the main course that everyone was getting - it wasn’t like it was a special order. Because of how long it took, I had to leave with my special needs daughter who never got her food and they still charged us full price for her meal. Disappointing, given the expense of the meal, to feel like it was nickled and dimed. Likely won’t come back - we’ll eat elsewhere at the resort.

And yet 15 min later they seemed to be serving chowder at the tables around us. The traditional turkey meal was average and so was the dessert. Not worth the 20 minute wait after our reservation time and the hefty price for average food.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was dry and the lobster had no taste. The rest of the meal was equally uninspiring. The service was very rushed. For $135 pp, this was very disappointing. Will not return.

We had a delicious Thanksgiving meal at Serea. The service was friendly and helpful and we sat in a quiet indoor corner of the restaurant. The prix fixe menu was the only option and was a bit pricey but everything was very delicious so nice for a special meal with the family.

The food was good/close to excellent. The ambience of the restaurant was excellent. For the value of cost and food? If I am comparing other high-end restaurants let’s say like Island Prime I feel you’re paying for the Coronado hotel experience. Personally the value in cost and food is better @island prime. Ambience goes to hotel Coronado, but if you have a window seat @island prime it’s great seating. The service was even. Your call! Enjoy

Always love Serea and look forward to our favorites grilled octopus and flash fried sea bass. Our waiter insisted you couldn’t get the sea bass flash fried we told him we always had before he said well your waiter did you a disservice. We listened to him and got it wood grilled. Very very disappointed next time we will insist on flash fried

Restaurant is grossly overpriced. Hotel Charges a fee for Hotel Preservation which Adds to the cost . You are limited to 2 hours for dining Valet parking is $45 with no validation from the restaurant. If you don’t mind the price . It’s not worth nearly $400 for 2 persons with a modest bottle of wine I will not return

We were really excited to go to this restaurant because of the reviews however my husband steak was over cooked and a bad cut, didn't even seem like a fillet, and my fish was not very flavorful. The waiter was amazing. I was bummed that the food was not great.

Serea definitely delivered a great pick for our business dinner, and I sincerely appreciated that the server and the chef was able to work with my garlic allergy. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and hearing the ocean waves crashing in the distance while sipping on the windsor, or indulging in CRISPY SAGANAKI (THE BEST!) What I didn't expect was how many helicopters and planes would fly overhead every 20 minutes, making it sometimes impossible to hear our client conversation. However, I did LOVE that pups were welcome, which helped entertain us with the number of bulldogs passing by, and socializing with another table who had both a golden doodle and their puppy french bull to steal the show. Food wise, The risotto was a bit over-salted, so I was glad to have ordered the scallops, which I had 5 big sized ones to try and mellow the saltiness. I did have 2 of the 5 that had a bit of grit, and other guests who did the SEAFOOD "ROMESCADA" said their scallops were definitely gritty like there were bits of shell and sand, but otherwise they loved the swordfish. We were all quite full after 4 appetizers and our own meal and imbibing on their awesome cocktails, so we all happily shared the MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE SUNDAE, which was phenomenal in presentation. Now for the price of 6 people and it being about $150 pp, I would have considered it a little overpriced IF they weren't right next to the beach, where you could walk literally right on the beach after dinner. The only thing I might go back for is the CRISPY SAGANAKI or to try their other desert with the shell out for a anniversary dinner OR maybe a brunch to enjoy the beach and sun thereafter.

We had a beautiful anniversary dinner with a view of the sunset. Our server, Brett, made sure we had a lovely and delicious experience, from his cocktail recommendations to the explanation of the diner specials. The scallop carpaccio was divine. I could not recommend this more.

My family and I had a beautiful evening at Serea. Our dinner was delicious brussel sprouts were very delicious, patatas bravas had the perfect taste and the 8 oz filet was cooked perfectly. I made reservations and we were sat immediately. Fine dining at it's best.
