The new menu is too limited and extremely overpriced. Wanted to celebrate my sons 21st and the service and staff didn’t disappoint but we had to leave and go find a meal. The portions are more like appetizers. Please bring back old menu, miso soup and sides of rice so I could feed my big boys.. We love the Four Season’s atmosphere

Service was incredible! We loved the rice chicharron with tuna and should have tried more of the unique fusion dishes. Better nigiri for better value can be found at nearby restaurants (kanda, emon)

Enjoyed another excellent dinner at Onyx! Great food and outstanding service --- the chef personally described one of the new dishes to us and as always, the managers made sure that everything was perfect. Favorite dishes at this visit included the new fish and shrimp dumpling, the Nigiri Moriwase and the Chokoreeto. Yummy! Already looking forward to dining at Onyx again very soon and trying some more of their new dishes!

Menu was extremely limited $58 wagu strip loin was overcooked and not very good. Sushi had all rice and very little fish in it. Will not be going back. Way overpriced!!!!

Sushi is ok not great. Rolls are pretty basic especially for the price. Very expensive for what you get. Very limited sushi menu. Not what we expected for a Four Seasons restaurant.

Onyx is pretty inside, but was disappointed in the menu. A spot like this should have some fantastic choices…. We had a hard time deciding because there just wasn’t anything that sounded interesting. For the price, the experience should be unforgettable. It was a bummer for sure. What we did order was good, but definitely not worth the $250 price tag for what we ordered…. Hope they upgrade the menu!

My husband and I were underwhelmed by the menu selection, it's very limited for a sushi restaurant. The sushi was just so-so and price was really high. We don't mind paying a lot for good sushi, and we do, but this restaurant was not worth it at all. That said, our servers were outstanding.

We are so happy you re-opened as we have been fans of ONYX for over a decade. We went for a birthday dinner and it was indeed worthy of the special occasion. The staff was extremely welcoming , attentive and knowledgeable; and the quality and flavors of all the dishes were sublime. The sushi was so fresh and the preparation superb and a feast for all our senses. Just delicious!--thank you for enhancing my husband's birthday celebration!

Think quality over quantity. Great tasting offerings but small portions. Reimagined Onyz is squeezed into half the space of its former self increasing the noise level. Drinks were good. Server was very patient explaining the somewhat confusing food descriptions on the menu. I won’t be a regular but would return for a special occasion.

We take weekend getaway trips frequently & we LOVE the Four Seasons Westlake Village. We have ventured out for Sushi a lot & wanted to return back to Onyx. We had the best service from the wonderful hostess and waiters to the delicious appetizers, sushi and Miso Cod. Our dinner was so delicious & we always have an amazing experience. I would highly recommend Onyx to everyone.

I took my boyfriend here last night for his birthday dinner. While the food was outstanding we told them we were in a rush and the food took forever and on top of it when I ordered came out a full 15 minute before what the birthday boy ordered. Embarrassing... Food was really outstanding though

Romantic outdoor setting with waterfall view, attentive and knowledgeable staff eager to please. Easy to navigate menu. We enjoyed the Wagyu beef main dish and the rolls were some of the best we have ever tasted. The presentation of all of the dishes were superb and the food arrived promptly - and we were not rushed. My wife enjoyed the Lychee Martini and my Rye based Manhattan was perfect.

We went here last night for our anniversary and we were treated very special! We had a wonderful time and our wait staff were very attentive and kind! They brought us Champagne and chocolates for dessert on the house!

After having good experiences dining on their patio all through Covid, we were disappointed in our last two visits. Given our last experience, we were hesitant to return. We decided to try again, as we "assumed" Onyx reads the reviews and hoped that we allowed time for them to work out hiccups. This visit was not much different. On a positive note: Food is always very good. Sister restaurant Coin & Candor is a delightful dining experience.

Now that the indoor dining room is open, the outdoor seating is limited to a few high tops. Overall, not a fan of expensive dining on a small hightop table. The chairs are uncomfortable, especially for anyone that is not tall. The view of the beautiful garden is limited as well. Service was mediocre this visit, not bad but not great. Sushi is very good, but the options are more limited than other sushi bars in the area. So given the uncomfortable seating, lack of garden view - next time we want sushi, we shall opt for another place with more fresh fish options on the menu. Sad that we supported Onyx over the last year and now find patio dining uncomfortable tables only.
