I've been to the Friday food slam many times and love the laid back atmosphere here, but this was the first time for Sunday lunch. Four of us had the chicken which comes as a whole bird you carve your self, and four had the roast beef which comes carved. Roast potatoes and veg come as a sharing platter. The food was very tasty and well cooked, and I'm still musing over how they manage to get so much taste into a whole roast chicken - it was very good. Cheap too at £40 for 4. The service was really good and our waitress made sure the drinks flowed. Highly recommended , especially for a large group who can easily sit together on the long tables.

Probably the best Sunday lunch in Liverpool - very very tasty and just keeps coming ! Chilled atmosphere and definitely bohemian - sitting at long camping tables on benches but family friendly ! Defo recommend -

We went as a party of five for Sunday dinner, food was lovely, service was excellent, atmosphere warm friendly and had a buzz about it. Will go back and recomend to friends and family.

We had a great family lunch at the camp and furnace - grandparents were visiting, we had the children (5 and 2 Y O) with us and the place was well set up for this kind of dining. We ate in the bar area. Sunday papers were provided and the kids were able to amuse themselves in the main dining hall, so everyone was well entertained! The menu was very light on detail (which generated some apprehension) but when the food arrived all worries vanished - high points included lovely tender lamb shanks, nicely cooked sirloin, world-class yorkshires and more roast potatoes than we could eat. The only minor negatives were that there had been some heavy rain the night before so the main dining area was initially closed, plus they seemed to be out of many of the bottled craft beers. Overall though we had a lovely time and will definitely come back.

What happened to the Sunday lunch options? U can only have chicken if there's 4 of u? What happens on a table for 2 if u don't eat beef or lamb? And your share options have also reduced. Food is lovely but u need to cater for more. Service was pretty bad too, really slow, no drinks offered the whole time we were there, had to get up to ask 4 times for a plate so I could actually eat the food! I know it's busy on a Sunday but either staff for it or take less bookings? The changes would put me off going back on a Sunday! Expand your menu again! Ps the sticky toffee pudding was as amazing as always!

Order a full chicken roast it arrives and is red I the middle. Leave us with the potatoes and veg and brings other chicken 20 minutes later - no thanks - first and last time here

We went as a party of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children for Sunday lunch. Overall the experience was very enjoyable with friendly service and decent food. The venue is unusual being a converted industrial space in the Baltic Quarter of Liverpool. This area plays host to a mixture of businesses from digital media to traditional light industry. There are a few trendy bars and is convenient for China Town. The Baltic is worth exploring and would benefit from the reopening of St James Station. I had the Sirloin of beef whilst the others shared a joint of gammon. The meats were excellent with the beef being slow cooked but still pink in the middle, unlike the cremated rubbish served by most pubs. Vegetables were plentiful. Starters were so so. There were occasional glitches in service, mainly because some drinks were not available. That said i would definitely recommend the experience.

Had a great night. Only disappointing thing was that I couldn't have a Bloody Mary as no tomato juice. But that didn't put me off and I would like to go back again 😀

Would recommend to anyone, as soon as you walk in you are greeted with friendly staff. The food is amazing, the venue is amazing as is the atmosphere. Couldn't pick a fault.

Paid £20 deposit as told it was booking up fast. There were maybe 6 other parties so the ambience was rubbish. We had to go to the bar twice as our server wasn't attentive enough and I ordered a cocktail once.....because it took so long I wouldn't order again. The food choices were sari g platters of either cheese, bread, meat or fish. I'd hoped for a cooked dish alas no. The meat platter was awful, the pastrami was fatty and I pointed this out to our server. The chorizo was bland and we had one half of a gherkin. The bread came with a choice of butter or oil and vinegar. The cost? £14 per platter. Then the races came on and it got a little better....because there was some atmosphere. To top it off the bill cane and they didn't account for our £20 deposit so we just felt ripped off from start to finish. Never again.
