    Lovely restaurant. Very service oriented. Rolls are incredible and dessert to die for. Be prepared to come with your appetite as serving proportions are generous -- really generous.

    This was our second night in a row and food was great and we had the best server ever. We had a 1 year old with food allergies and he was very knowledgeable of our food cooking questions

    Even the half sides are large portions. The Brussel sprouts were very good.

    Strange night at Pittsburgh Blue. Ordered one steak (filet) medium rare and it came near-raw. Ordered the second filet Medium and it came extra well done. Showed both to the lovely lady serving us and she was just stunned. Sent them back and the first steak got corrected. The extra well done steak came back extra well done again! I thought we were being punked! Showed her and she just about cried. Sent it back again and it came back medium well, so we just went with it. So bizarre. This is a very good restaurant that normally is super reliable. The people / service are great and the food is normally as good as anything in Rochester. No clue what happened this time around…...

    Seven of us dined at Rochester's Pittsburgh Blue restaurant for the first time. While the service was very attentive, the accuracy of the order and the taste of some of the food left much to be desired. The appetizers were generally good. We had calamari. The calamari was very good. The dinner rolls were also deemed to be very good by everyone. My main complaint had to do with my dinner order. I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye cooked rare. When it arrived, it was announced as medium rare. I cut into it to see if it might be salvageable, but I would deem it to be closer to medium than medium rare. That being the case, I informed the wait staff of the error and waited patiently for them to prepare a new one to my liking while my family members ate. About 8 minutes later they delivered my entree, and it was rare, but it was also done Pittsburgh Blue as the outside was heavily charred - unlike the original steak that was done "medium rare". Because I had waited so long, I decided to accept the steak, but the char on it was overwhelming and left me very disappointed. The other diners had petite filets, NY strip, and mushroom ravioli. They all liked their choices. For sides we ordered the loaded mashed potatoes (good), asparagus (good), and lobster mac and cheese. The lobster mac left a bit to be desired as it had very little lobster in it. For dessert we ordered Creme Brulee (not much taste), and Coconut Cake (pretty good). All in all, given the $650 total cost, I would not choose to dine here again. I have had better steaks at Outback and Texas Roadhouse than I received here. I expected a lot out of them given their reputation, but they just did not deliver on the food front.
