   I think that Jeong would be better served calling their cuisine pan Asian fusion rather than Korean fusion food. Other than perhaps one dessert we really didn’t taste any Korean influence to the other dishes. The food on the whole was good, very good as a matter of fact; however, the Waygu was not that impressive and for only a seven course tasting menu the serving sizes were way too small and I frequently eat fine dining tasting menus. Which also leads to perhaps the thought that their price point is too high for what one receives. In my opinion they need to take another look at their cuisine and do some revaluation of what they serve. They had a few stand outs on their wine list but overall their wine program could use some improvement. Service is impeccable and worthy of a Michelin starred establishment. Beautiful room and ambiance.

   Jeong is all about balance. Every dish on the tasting menu is sophisticated and artfully plated, but also delicious, heartwarming, personal, and approachable. The space is elegant, but also welcoming and warm, without being stuffy or intimidating. And the service is just the right mix of formal and friendly. The entire experience is a reflection and expression of the personal warmth of the young couple whose dream created Jeong.

   Just wish there was more light too see the food :) everything was delicious. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a tasting menu with small portions, but it was fun and interesting, and I liked the tea selection. They even gave an extra little cup of crunchy topping from one of the dishes I liked. We were not rushed at all to leave as we paid the bill and finished our teas. The tables are comfy to sit at, and they gave us fresh utensils so every course was enjoyed fully without other flavors from previous courses. Washrooms clean, staff friendly and kind.

    A bit out of the way,but a very nice comfortable restaurant, good welcome, good food, although nothing special seeing as this was a tasting menu. Most disappointing was the restaurant wouldn’t at first call us a cab until after we insisted on asking the manager who called kindly then called and paid for an Uber.

    Jeong is without a doubt one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Went for the first time in January and had to come back in April to celebrate my birthday there because I loved it so much. I could eat their scallops for every meal!

    AMAZING. Jeong is one of the best restaurants in Chicago -- and that's saying something. The food is amazing and precise and beautiful and soulful at the same time. On top of that, the front of house staff are the warmest, most genuine folks I've ever come across. They took such great care of our party of 5 and they went above and beyond to make our celebration dinner special. Everyone in our party had experienced Jeong before -- and yet there were still ear-to-ear grins even though we knew the treat that was in store. Lesson: if you HAVEN'T gone to Jeong...you simply must try it; if you HAVE gone to Jeong...you must go again.

    Jeong is by far the most spectacular restaurant I have ever been to. The level of detail for every ingredient to every piece of garnish applied for the dish's presentation was so thoughtful, unique, and delicious - it was the best time. The wine pairings were also spot on and amazing. Another incredible touch was coat check... they warm your coat before giving it to you! Whos ever heard of that?! I will definitely be coming back here for a very special evening in the future.

    We didn’t care much for the Jook all other courses were outstanding. The flavors were to be savored with each mouthful. The service was exceptional. What you don’t expect from a high end restaurant was a terrific playlist. What restaurant at this level can you expect to hear Lou Reed,Mavis Staples along with Devo?     Wonderful experience overall. Loved the fun and quirky choices of music (James Brown, Beastie Boys, Suggie Otis all on the same playlist??) And I loved virtually every dish they served. For a higher end tasting menu, I found the price to be very reasonable. And I loved the service. Everybody struck the perfect balance between present and private. Possibly one of the two best restaurants in West Town.

    Jeong is one of the best restaurants in Chicago. Every single course of our 7-course tasting menu was perfect--super imaginative, beautiful, and above all delicious. The service is super personal, thoughtful, and caring. There's a gentle sense of humor to everything they do. It's like you're in a friend's house who happens to be the best cook you've ever seen. The drinks were wonderful too. My wife and I just couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more or felt better cared for. We will be back as soon as we can be. Thanks so much.

    While loads of chefs take inspirations from Korean cuisine and apply it to their American or French styled dishes, Jeong takes that idea and turns it on its head; Korean cuisine forms the basis of the menu with global influences. The 8 course menu (and wine pairings) were exceptionally well executed. The table favorite was the seared scallop served with a bit of clementine infused beurre blanc that brought a light citrus note to the delicate butteriness of the scallop. The accompanying Chardonnay from Foxen in the Santa Maria Valley highlighted the dish's salinity without being overwhelming.

    We celebrated our anniversary at Jeong and it was one of the best tasting menus I have ever experienced. The food was tasty, exceptional, and unique. We went with the wine pairing, which I highly recommend. My partner and I wanted to split a cocktail before our meal and they took the time to make sure it was special for us. Overall, the service was fantastic, the food was outstanding, and the restaurant is cozy, romantic, and intimate. Joeng is a gem.
